This thought has crossed my mind. But I'm stuffing it down because I don't wanna give y'all an easy pass and it'd be boring.nijuukyugou wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 5:34 pm Hilarious thoughts while I'm reading this (mostly unhelping mudslinging) thread (meaning no offense - it's just mafia as usual):
What if...NO ONE was bad in our tribe? Perish the thought. But it would be funny.

Oh, agreed. I'll still vote and assume there are baddies. But geez, I wanted to throw my computer out the window last time.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 5:38 pmThis thought has crossed my mind. Okay, I'm going to drive home. That was a pretty easy catch-up (I speed read, in case anyone decides to say some shit like that was fast), but I need to think, and perhaps more will be said in the interval between now and then.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Vote Lorab if only to ensure a not random lynch if the other tribe is as wushu washy as we are.
I’m wavering on my Sloonei/Sig case. Here’s why.
Say my case is 100% correct. Sloonei votes Sig and I’m like idgaf so we lynch Sig and he flips bad. Is that gonna get me off Sloonei’s case? No. That’s gonna make me vote Sloonei harder.
I’m a bit simple. I see hot potato, I assume a save. I see a player call another player their 2nd-4th biggest suspect all game or their biggest suspect but they don’t vote, I assume distancing. I look for teammates because the whole mafia exists. I look for liars because lynch all liars makes sense. I hate self voting cause it’s never helpful to the town and I hate emotional appeals because they aren’t actual evidence.
So you wanna call my bluff and lynch your buddy? He can hang before you. Sloonei knows this. (I think.)
So...I’ll drink the wine but I don’t think this is the action of a Sig/Sloonei team.

Alas, 'tis true. But for real, it was a crazy endgame with everyone suspecting each other and getting mad (and I had already been lynched and then rezzed as a Cylon and then on the chopping block AGAIN and I had no idea what was happening), only to find out that through some crazy loophole, everyone left was either good or indy, with the indy not needing to kill us. So such craziness is a possibility, but not likely.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Moved my vote to LoRab and then immediately back to Boomslang. I'm wavering on my gut decision to vote for Boomslang, and my sig suspicion has gone back and forth a thousand times. LoRab is next in line after them. But voting for her pushes her on the brink of being a runaway wagon. I don't want that to happen just yet.

She's done nothing that looks explicitly town, hasn't really given any reads. In the absence of stronger suspects, I'm kind of defaulting to her.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Mmmmk so my thought process is this from reading so far:
Sloonei takes suspicion for coming out Sloonei (guns a'blazin', that is) and for flip-flopping a lot. This thought crossed my mind as big fat WIFOM, but I'm thinking he's good and doing the civ thing right now. We don't have enough being said to not play around with words and cast suspicion in places for reaction gauges, so this appears more civ than bad. And it stands out.
sig is being weird and avoiding a lot of simple questions. Is there something else I'm missing? Or are people latching on to whatever weirdness they can get? I totally understand if so, but if that's all it is, I'm not inclined that way, either.
Lorab is, according to Jack, apparently acting like she does when she's bad? How so?
Ugh. Votes and decisions. It's amazing I'm able to play this game at all.

but why was it so frustrating? what was the actual source of frustration for you? was anyone expecting sig or anyone to say whether they'd written a haiku
Um, yes? That was exactly what I expected when I asked "Anyone else willing to make that claim?"
what kind of person would have the forethought to lie about doing a haiku but not have the forethought to have just done a haiku when they signed up in the first place? I also don't necessarily think a civ who hadn't done a haiku would have a good reason to tell the truth about it?
I don't think "forethought" comes into it. We weren't told that haiku gave the lynch-immunity advantage before the game, so if somebody didn't send one in, they could easily have an "oh shit" moment.
What possible town benefit is there to bringing this up? At best, it's conjecture; at worst, it's planting a seed of doubt that encourages us not to vote, giving baddies a free day.nijuukyugou wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 5:34 pm Hilarious thoughts while I'm reading this (mostly unhelping mudslinging) thread (meaning no offense - it's just mafia as usual):

we've got 15 minutes and no one has more than 2 votes... if we want someone from our tribe to be lynched we pretty much have to decide now. I think I'm pretty okay with either lorab or boomslang.

Fuck it. sig's all over the place. I'm re-reading interactions between him and Sloonei, and he's floundering like crazy. He might be weird, but not usually floundery. I want to have more time to look at the Lorab comparison before I make an uninformed vote in her direction. Pulling the trigger and vote sig. (Did I do that right? Friggin' tags.)

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
I'm still feeling Boomslang frankly.
He used sig's comment about being 70% sure he submitted a haiku as basis for a vote. But frankly I don't see it in the same light he does at all. It looks more like a lazy civ than a lying baddie. I mean, if bad it would be to his advantage to just say, "I submitted a haiku" and hopefully avoid a lynch because of it. If he was civ, sure he could go doublecheck to make sure he sent it. I just can't see a baddie just lying in such a weird way. It looks more like sig being sig.
I'm also reading Kyle as Civ for the record, his questions are good and insightful and strike me as sincere.
The other person I am feeling baddie vibes from right now is Wilgy. He looks like Wilgy in Mountain mafia. In that game I felt like, whoa, Wilgy is playing it straight, no big schtick, this is weird. And I said so in thread and I got poo pooed. Oh I don't want to vote for Wilgy because he's contributing without a big schtick. So I dismissed it and thought that maybe I was just off base. Guess who was bad? Wilgy. And I am seeing Wilgy playing a straight game again. I could easily put a vote there today too. In fact I think I will VOTE DrWilgy aubergine.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Hmm. If baddies are split randomly, that means their thread support is split randomly, too. That must be...interesting.
This game is a mindfuck. (Sorry, I've said "fuck" like fourteen times today already. I'll stop.)

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
you expected anyone, regardless of alignment, to tell the truth about whether they were lynchable on day one of the Game of Champions?Um, yes? That was exactly what I expected when I asked "Anyone else willing to make that claim?"
we were told that the haiku would have a benefit, the specifics aren't important. the options were to construct a sentence in 5-7-5 format or miss out on the advantage even if it were something insignificant, making a haiku is not a challenge. I just like.... can't imagine a person gleefully saying "hey I'm lynchable" civ or mafia?I don't think "forethought" comes into it. We weren't told that haiku gave the lynch-immunity advantage before the game, so if somebody didn't send one in, they could easily have an "oh shit" moment.
implying that dr. wilgy has had a very strong thread presence in this game? he's made 12 posts.
is this an accusation?

Daisy’s post is weak and doesn’t answer questions I asked her.
How many of the recent Wilgy mislynches was Daisy around for? I wanna say “not many.”

"I am Sloonei! Come to Sloonei. Don't vote for Sloonei. What do you think about Sloonei? Have you seen Sloonei lately? Vote for Sloonei. Sloonei Sloonei Sloonei!" said Sloonei to a passing tree.
"Looks like he found the weed." said Jack "Don't worry, though, I'm over my PTSD and I'm here to party."
"Playing clothes-man hard to read" sang inh.
Marmot was looking at his reflection in the remains of the train carriage. "Looking good" he said, thinking about exactly how he could tailor his facial hair with tools only found on the beach. Hermit crabs? Seaweed? That weird foam that stays on the beach after high tide?
"I have an idea" said Daisy "if we all spread out, that Citadel Council won't be able to get to any of us. We'll be too hard to hit."
"That's a terrible idea" said DrWilgy "if we all huddle together, they'll be exposed. They'd never risk an attack in such circumstances."
"I'd like to fork my pleasure to zap his fierce style" sang inh.
The argument continued. No-one could agree how to protect the group. No-one could agree who had attacked ninja to begin with. In the end, they all gave up.
"Let's build a bowling alley" said sig.
Day 2 has ended. Speedchuck has been shot by a crossbow (lynched). He was:
