Also this is LC second flip correct? And we believed the first one was civ/mafia so we can't assume people who got killed stayed civs, I'd look closely at the people pushing that meta.

You seem strangely unmoved by the fact that you had 7/12 votes on you just now.

You’ve been like this all game. I don’t understand you or whT this means for your alignment

Guys. What if the button switches which tribe can lynch and which can NK???

The only catch with that theory is that cbob will most definitely be lynched tomorrow. But like...what if?

I’m not so sure we’re merging tomorrow either. I don’t know if we’ll ever get off this beach.

No, the button swaps all the roles, rendering the previous 6 months of the game meaningless.

I don't think all of us have made any assumptions about the alignment of roles, based only on the role description. And I don't think anyone is pushing the narrative that assumed civs have remained civs. This reads like a post that is trying to sound like more substance than it actually has.

That's an assumption you're making based on the original role--which doesn't mean that the role operates the same way in this game. Chances are, in fact, that it doesn't (based on comparing all of the roles we have learned to their original games). Unless you know more about the role than the rest of us...

The beach was nice but as dawn was about to break several members of the tribe claimed they were off to search for some place more cool and comfortable inland.

Little did people realize these tribe members were the hired guns of the Citadel Council who needed to talk before the dawn broke.

They found they were all in synch on who the next target was and as luck would have it, the target was up early searching for idols.

As they crept up on him Ghost Con could be heard in the near distance “BWAHAHAHAHAHA SOMEONE WILL JOIN ME SOOOOON!”

Night 5 has ended. sig has died. He was:
You are 4: Mr Poe (A Mafia of Unfortunate Events). You are the executor of the Baudelaire estate, but even though you mean well, you are unbelievably incompetent. Every night you will try to help a player. There is a 1/3 chance that player will be blocked, a 1/3 chance they will be silenced, and a 1/3 chance they will be killed. You may not target the same player on consecutive nights.

It is now day 6. It will last for 48 hours.

Correct. So...here comes another stagnant day where nothing happens. Only this time we know that nothing happens.

Someone will probably say “oh, but that shouldn’t mean discussion for baddies should stop” but I say “why. We’ve been at it for a while now and you can call me Shrug Johnson. What more do we talk about except who the mafia will kill?

Looks like niju has been silenced. Not sure if powers go through the night of death, or if there is another silencer.

I also don't see a reason why we wouldn't try to lynch the same as last round. In fact, sig has seemed even more suspish since then. So, as aubergine and babaganoush are delicious, vote sig

That's super scummy. Lynch someone who's last life was an obvious civ even though he was nightkillled.

As I've said several times, I don't think there are civ roles and baddie roles. I think any role has the potential to be either. So, not seeing "obvious civ." And not sure what being night killed has to do with anything. There is solid evidence of multiple mafias. Also, mafias have been known to target their own. Also, we don't know what roles are in this game, so retargeting is a thing that can happen. I'm banking on the second of those possibilities.

@Sloonei: Convince me. I mean, I can be convinced, but can you share why you suspect him? Also, I don't want to make an assumption about this lynch and that it won't happen. That seems like a dangerous path.

I didn't say we had proof. That is twisting my words and focusing on what wasn't even the most relevant part of what I said. And that isn't even why I suspect you--just why I'm ok with voting for you despite the nk. It would be great if you could respond to the myriad posts about you during the last lynch.

that's actually a really good point. we don't know the logistics of the Charlie Pace role. There could be a Desmond Hume role out there or something that could prevent cbob from dying today somehow.

it might be better to treat this lynch as normal just in case. there's no actual downside to doing so other than time cost.

I agree with all of this post, except the part where I have no idea what these names mean.

I'll lay out a marmot case tomorrow. He's the person we should be voting for.

Ok I’ll bite. You seem to have more conviction on Marmot’s guilt this time around.

So if sig had a 33% chance to kill every night, what are the odds that one or more persons was NK’d from that?

I could see sig’s role (originally a civ role) as bad, sure

My first major concern with Marmot was that he was making empty prods of players to appear as a driving force in the game, but he never followed up on these prods at all. Here's a couple early examples:
Marmot wrote: Sun Feb 25, 2018 1:18 pm All of them.

Why do you have so many folks colored at such an early juncture in the game?

What do you think will get people talking?
Followed two hours later with this:

And no visible attempt anywhere to do anything with the questions he had asked previously, giving me reason to doubt that he cared at all about his own line of investigation.

The first time I remember stating suspicion against him, and his response was to take cover behind his meta:

This is the Game of Champions folks! Let's get it together. Pretend that someone shit in your cornflakes or something.
Maybe it's unfair of me to label them as such, but these all feel like hollow prods to me. I don't see him doing much with the responses he gets and they don't feel particularly directed toward anything.

If there's a specific incident I take issue with, it was this small exchange the two of us had a few days ago (I've wrapped the whole thing in quote brackets for visual appeal):

I asked directly whether or not he actually suspected me. "No" was his answer. Marmot does not suspect me. Noted.

Why would this lead you to believe that I think you're civilian.

This and that are not the same thing.
I was lead to believe that you think I am civilian because you stated "no" when asked if you suspect me. Sure you can say I'm a null read. But I refuse to accept that at the juncture of the game in which this exchange took place, especially when I have ~142 posts. "No" suspicion for this player should indicate a town read, but Marmot won't commit to that stance. I'm really just trying to get him to follow up on the read he seemed to hint at earlier, but he refuses to do so.

I don't think I was reaching seeing as I was directly responding to a read you had hinted at a few minutes earlier. This seems like the marmot trying to weasel out of a read.
If I were to articulate my suspicion of Marmot in one word, it would be listless. It feels like he's going through the motions of being a townie, but without the direction or the emotion of a player who is genuinely trying to solve the game.

Vote Marmot, 2018.

Ok.

To play devil’s advocate though, you also basically took cover under your meta for being a townie.

And wait a tic- how is it that Marmot is now your top scumread for a few days? I feel like you’ve flitted around from one candidate to another every day, and haven’t held any firm beliefs carried over after each lynch. Until Marmot.

And frankly, I’m not seeing it. He could be bad, yes. But what you’re saying about his posts can be attributed to many players on this tribe.

Why haven’t mafia tried to kill you yet? I mean they very well could have on N4, but if I were mafia I would have wanted to kill you in the 1st few cycles with how much you’ve been posting and infusing the thread.

But why haven’t you been NK’d yet?

Marmot was my top suspect yesterday. I wasn't around much, but I felt it and expressed the suspicion more than once.

I would not say that I hid behind my meta. I referenced it in self-defense, but i did not use it to refrain from playing with aggression. If anything, my meta reference necessitated that I post more.

I've been expecting to die every night. I suspect that the double life thing is postponing my first death. Killing me is usually done to shut me up when I'm town. Killing me here would not shut me up, and would only give people more evidence to read me as town.

I am directly accusing Marmot of making posts that were designed to make him look like an active townie generating discussion, but without actually turning those prods into anything productive. He should respond to that and others can decide how they feel about it. I don't need him to though.

Why was sig nightkilled?

I'ts fairly obvious why I was NK'd. I'd say one of two reasons.

One being that I was adamant the silencer could be civ and the mafia put two and two together

or since I didn't seem to be able to be lynched and was so nonchalant. Voting for me now when literally everyone else who has been NK'd got a pass is scummy and saying my role is mafia is scummy these are people who are tunneling and looking for a reason to lynch me with no good reasoning what so ever.

Plus they'll want civs down to one life, y'all weren't getting me lynched and they knew I wasn't one of them.

I suggest we start looking at people who are both suspicious and haven't been killed yet as well as the people who were killed night 1 and 2

I thought the general assumption was that you survived because the other tribe had a stronger consensus for the fifth day in a row.

I do agree that the argument about your first role being scummy is a shoe-horned suspicion. I don't get behind it. It's possible, but that's not a conclusion I want to jump to.

Why not? I feel like she’s largely been impassive thus far- there’s no sense of urgency, and largely no one else has talked about her. Like, no one else talks about her. I know you talked about her and said something to the effect of “well, I’ve been ‘wanting’ her to be bad so badly, that maybe my opinion is tainted”

Naw man, we’ve just spent 5 full days without a lynch, and we’re all flies fumbling around in strawberry preserves. It’s tasty and we feel like we’re getting our share of sustenance, but then when it suddenly dawns on us that we can’t leave and this place is a tomb.

Like Trump making a slanderous accusation that incites public outrage followed by another piece of random ridiculous rhetoric, we can’t keep track of anything going on. I’ve got a baddie vibe from LoRab for her play in Day 1, and, well, here I am again on Day 6 punching in my timecard ready to go nowhere yet again.

Let’s just lynch her.

Or Wilgy lol cause I’ve seen him lurking and he’s still just chillin like a villain. Also to make me feel better about SpaceDaisy if we can catch a bad doctor.

I made a hunch that Wilgy was Tina around Day 2 because she said he was finally a doctor, but ya know...I don’t think that’s true anymore.

Actually as I’ve written this, I’d rather lynch Wilgy. He’s up there on my rolling scum list with Boom and LoRab.

Let’s lynch Wilgy. As for why Wilgy? Well, whhhhyyyyyy nooottttttt
