Next time I’m bad, I’m going to see if I can get into one of these day 1 dick measuring contests with a teammate to test all of you who are sure you can sus out when these things are scripted.

This is where I write my name on my test, calmly take out a pack of gum, look around absently to the other students in class, clear my throat, pop some gum in, stare at nothing on my desk and then methodically get up with blank test in hand, place it on the teacher’s desk, quietly exclaim that I had a great semester and about face to go decompress into a box of friesDom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:36 pmIn 500 words or fewer please explain your answer. I’m not saying you can’t. I’m saying you should be tested cause the sample size of w/w doing that is low.

I can’t really defend sig. he’s talking in his own language. I’m choosing to ignore the subject matter of your clash because I believe that what you both are perceiving as personal attacks is just miscommunication. He doesn’t agree with the dunya thing and thinks you brought it up when you don’t believe it to be true.Dom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:46 pmlolJackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:43 pm Next time I’m bad, I’m going to see if I can get into one of these day 1 dick measuring contests with a teammate to test all of you who are sure you can sus out when these things are scripted.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 1]
There is a consistent theme of dunya suspicion in LC's post history, but this is where he placed his vote. This is my least favorite point I've seen brought against dunya in the game, so I'm not crazy about it being the apparent straw that broke the camel's back for LC. He made a more substantial point against her here:Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:33 pmNope. Don't believe this.dunya wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 3:17 pmnah you were compared to other players to me in discord in the past when we were OT discussing prolific Syndicate mafia players.Dom wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 3:10 pmI'll elaborate on this.
She's heard of my meta in games I never really played in? Really, my meta came up?
suspect af. who in btsc gave you an idea of my meta?
[VOTE: dunya] aubergine
But I don't necessarily agree that that is suspicious. Dunya announced her vote as a pressure vote well after the fact, and being open about pressure voting on Day 1 was fairly standard on RYM, where dunya comes from.Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:12 amMe too. I think maybe it was the original Phenon when I was doing that, and I got called out correctly for it. That's precisely why I am sensitive to it now.Marmot wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:08 amI do the same thing sometimes... because I'm bad.Long Con wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:03 amThis post strengthens my suspicion of dunya. Votes for pressure don't have a lot of teeth when you explain them away as harmless prodders.dunya wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 4:01 amI dunno. I prodded Scotty for info on his personality both from Scotty and others, and backed it up with a vote. My vote and questioning his motives and sincerity has created discussion. This is a good thing. We have 48 hours; my vote's moving all over the place before I make a more informed Day 1 decision.
This post feels like it could be indirectly setting up a tinfoil case against Golden, and I don't love that.
I'd like to reads from LC on players not called dunya.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 1]
It's been a long time since I played a game with choutas, but I struggle to see how he can label "random voting" as a scumtell. Choutas is another player who has been predominantly focused on one suspect (Golden), and I don't agree with his reasoning at all. Choutas give me other reads.Choutas wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:28 am Sloppy -> Scumtell

Anyway, I always work the evening shift so expect low to zero participation from 14:00 to 24:00
It's possible I could scrabble some posts here and there but my participation in this game will be from low to low-average.
It's a blast we get to play again together guys. Thank you Jay.

speedchuck you made a read list yesterday with town reads, and about 5 other various pings you had on people, with the promise that you would sus people out by tomorrow (today). The rest of your posts since have been condemnations on Epi’s meta being different, picking apart some of his flighty voting patterns and parking your vote on him, though he wasn’t a player highlighted on your ping list yesterday. What happened to those pings?
Or was that just a semblance of appearing town for a bit while flying under the radar hmm?

Hey all, apologies for my absence; it's been busy between work, somewhat unexpectedly hanging out with some friends last night, and then Annie's birthday today. I still have a few items to attend to but after that I'll pop back in here in a bit and see what I can do, but I won't be as active before the deadline as I was hoping.

How does your current Epi vote differentiate itself from a "lazy" vote based on his activity?speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 1:58 pmI concur.
Epi lays low as scum, sure, but he's useful as town. Game has actually been going for less than 24 hours, finals for schoolteachers are approaching, etc. Epi hasn't been super active this weekend either, and has had company if I remember right.
I'm not going to lay a lazy vote on Epi for activity, and I caution against wasting your time with it today.

What will you do instead of making snap judgments?Turnip Head wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:21 pm No not really. Half the player list is new to me and I'm trying not to make snap judgments this early.

The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 0]
Did an entire analysis of Epi's non-comittal prodding, unoriginal posts, and lack of civ oomph. It was half an ISO. And it had nothing to do with post number.Sloonei wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:27 pmHow does your current Epi vote differentiate itself from a "lazy" vote based on his activity?speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 1:58 pmI concur.
But yes, all of my votes this game will be based on user activity. Not, like, their usernames or divination.

I'll probably be moving my vote though. I find Epi's behavior scummy, but it's not IDEAL scummy. And while I've only played one game with bad Epi, he has a pretty good record as king of evil, and if he were a bad dude, he could do better than this. Those with better meta reads have concurred.

I'm hesitant because I don't want to lynch a civilian on day one. I want my vote to count, and go towards the right person.
I appreciate you olive branch Scotty, I may have to return the generous favor.Scotty wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:33 pmYou have thus far defended dunya and subtly defended Speedchuck, while I guess shining on a light of suspicion on those that would have led a lynch on dunya without naming any names.
Spoiler: show
If I hadn’t offered the olive branch on people I haven’t played with before, you would be getting my vote rIght now

I did not defend Speedchuck, I'm just really passionate about the misuse of statistics. If further evidence shows speedchuck may be scum, I will happily help lynch him (sorry speedchuck , still love you).

GTH town.
Though I've never played mafia, IRL or elsewhere, with a scum Luna. At least, I don't remember doing so.
