The whole premise of Gun to Head is that it is just that- assumptions you would make on people if you had a gun to your head. Not organized beforehand where you say “ok, I’m thinking I’ll maybe call him bad and him good and oh! Looks like I need to come up with a few more grease monkeys!”

Dunya claims to know my meta desptie also claiming to not play with me. Therefore, someone told her my meta. Who and how? Those are important questions. She gave us answers, and for now, I'm content to sit back and see what else she does.
That's fair, thanks for explaining. I think I missed that in my quick perusal of her ISO.

Jay has kept casual statistics on the GTH game and, if I recall correctly, he has said that mafia-aligned players tend to be more hypersensitive to how many mafia members there are during GTH exercises than town-aligned players. I'm not sure how much stock he would put into it though in isolation, especially since speedchuck just seemed to be doing his own exercise here.

I Dot know what AI means but by setting a number of potential Scum reads before the exercise promotes planning. GTH reads are supposed to be spontaneous and I know speed knows was GTH stands for, or else he would do a read list or a rainbow list. If JJJ were playing he’d be all over this.

It’s a very easy way to plan out how you want to be perceived and this way looks inorganic

Fair enough. My beef stems from the fact that she doesn't seem to be making any effort to assess anyone other than dunya, and even that isn't entirely clear given that dunya hasn't been the sole contributor of content this game.

Just in general I’m suspicious of someone that has a bevy of town reads and little/none/tunneling on one person reads of mafia. Luna fits the bill, but her sample size is small. I don’t know if she would have come to a better suspicion unless I pressed her on it.

Try not to think of it as defence. I'm not saying any of it to save myself but to give you perspective on my posts.

I'm fine being lynched today, but it won't get the town anywhere. However, I could still win the game and notch a victory on the meta-belt.

Or you could leave me around and I could help solve the game.
OMG, the final nail in the Golden is town coffin.

Dude, we're both town. Let's do this. :slick:
I agreed with your Golden posts until this one.

Cmon, dude. That's the thing literally everyone says under pressure.
Oh look, a post for me to respond to that I haven't yet. My bad. (Guess I should catch up properly at some point, yeah?)

Fair point, but how much pressure was Golden under when he said it? Hardly anything noteworthy. In my experience, Golden is much more hypersensitive to pressure when town.

I know that's meta, but that's that.

@Sloonei I'm voting there for mainly three reasons.
Nova's been present and posted, but hasn't really said much of anything.
Looking over some games mafia!Nova lurks like they're doing now. I'd add a slightly caveat by saying civ Nova does this also, but it seems to be to a lesser degree.
I don't like the main wagons and would prefer we lynch here or find someone else.
Fine. take your toys home. Maybe that'll show Dom for being so childish.

I wanted to know what you meant, specifically in the first post quoted. You declined to specify. I decline to care. I decline to give you the benefit of the doubt. Dismissing your critics as haters is not going to get you anywhere and something I'd expect a baddie to do.
I still like sigs content generally, but in the sig/dom exchange I feel as though dom comes out looking significantly better. I think doms point was clear and I think sig has played dom rather than his point. Knowing that dom can be lured into emotional reactions, I think sig could be playing into that, and dom has come out the other side looking decent to me.

Also with dom I don’t confuse snark and being bad. Example - he was snarky with LCafter catching him in GoC. Snarky isn’t inherently negative, it’s part of how dom holds feet to the fire.

This doesn't answer my question, sorry.

Let me explain:

As of this moment, Golden is the top poster with 142 posts. I have 120. dunya has 87. Scotty has 86. Sloonei has 77. Mac has 76. You get the idea. dunya is not a sole beacon of effort this game.

Consequently, your read that dunya's effort is leading you to a solid town read of her is confusing to me, especially when you're apparently reading me as shady. Why am I shady? Why don't you have town reads of anyone else in that list?

[VOTE: dunya] aubergine
There is a consistent theme of dunya suspicion in LC's post history, but this is where he placed his vote. This is my least favorite point I've seen brought against dunya in the game, so I'm not crazy about it being the apparent straw that broke the camel's back for LC. He made a more substantial point against her here:

I dunno. I prodded Scotty for info on his personality both from Scotty and others, and backed it up with a vote. My vote and questioning his motives and sincerity has created discussion. This is a good thing. We have 48 hours; my vote's moving all over the place before I make a more informed Day 1 decision.
This post strengthens my suspicion of dunya. Votes for pressure don't have a lot of teeth when you explain them away as harmless prodders.
I do the same thing sometimes... because I'm bad.
Me too. I think maybe it was the original Phenon when I was doing that, and I got called out correctly for it. That's precisely why I am sensitive to it now.
But I don't necessarily agree that that is suspicious. Dunya announced her vote as a pressure vote well after the fact, and being open about pressure voting on Day 1 was fairly standard on RYM, where dunya comes from.

You turn out bad and you'll never be able to say this phrase again. I'll be watching.
This post feels like it could be indirectly setting up a tinfoil case against Golden, and I don't love that.

I'd like to reads from LC on players not called dunya.
Not good. Enough that I’m considering an LC vote right now actually. But then in GoC he played a very townie-looking game early.

I'll check out this Dom/sig thing now, but I still sort of want to lynch Lunalee. Other input would be welcome.

Luna, MP is my strongest town read, just to be clear. I think what you are seeing is misreading behaviour that is objectively suspicious but from MP is strongly town-leaning.

I don't care that Luna suspects me. What bothers me is that she seems to be not honestly assessing anyone. I can't get any feel for how she is coming to any of her reads.

I'm catching up.

Not that I'm interested in voting for anyone I haven't played with before, so this is just to assess your perspective rather than to join you.

In the mean time, I think others should assess LC. I might just put my vote there for now.

Objectively suspicious is absolutely a thing. It just doesn't correlate to alignment in any meaningful way.

Having read the Dom/sig exchange out of context, I'm currently feeling the following likelihoods of alignment (from most to least likely):
1. town/town
2. Dom is town, sig is mafia

3. mafia/mafia (very unlikely)

Anyway, I always work the evening shift so expect low to zero participation from 14:00 to 24:00
It's possible I could scrabble some posts here and there but my participation in this game will be from low to low-average.
It's a blast we get to play again together guys. Thank you Jay.
It's been a long time since I played a game with choutas, but I struggle to see how he can label "random voting" as a scumtell. Choutas is another player who has been predominantly focused on one suspect (Golden), and I don't agree with his reasoning at all. @Choutas give me other reads.
His reasoning was extremely poor. But it reminded me of Frog that scrimmage game he played here, where he thought you could catch scum by formula. Have you played much with him? I'm not sure whether I should take it as sincere.

Duly noted. I've only played a few Burglaries with her and it's hard to get a feel for meta in those types of things. She did seem rather casual and "green" in them. Off the top of my head I don't think she was bad in any of them either.

Hmmm... I don't know. I don't see mustache-twirling cunning Long Con. I'm not sure what I see though, other than a player who has hardly made any visible attempt to assess anyone other than dunya, and that on its own is a bit troubling but I'm not sold on him being bad by any means. What specifically is your beef with him, Golden?
