Having looked back on dunya I see she had suspicions earlier in the day of players I came to suspect later. I am curious about it because my assumption is that a scum dunya would cast dispersions on her teammates to scoop up credit later but at the same time it isn't too dissimilar to why I pushed her incorrect lynch in Mortal Kombat. I give her some town points for this observation.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Night 1]
I look to see what Day 2 brings us with Dunya.
And that was easier to make than I expected. I just copied and pasted Mac's and moved the names around. The colors, I always thought, would be a pain in the rear, but I don't care about consistency so whatever.

Scrolled up from this a bit and didn't see Dom's Luna advice. Annoying. I don't like this kind of roundabout talk; you'll look more Civvie to me if you speak plainly.
For example, "As you said to Luna, Dom, don't forget to floss!"

ok too many pages for now. anyone care to ask me something or tell me where to look. I had sig as a town read in my fake rainbow list and I explained why I thought he was town. Disappointed he managed to get 5 votes when I don't recall he had more than 1 before I cast my TH vote.
also, sorry I couldn't come back and change my vote to somewhere it mattered more. I thought I'd have a chance after placing my vote on Monday to reflect on Tuesday and see what's changing from people's ISOs but beyond 15mins at work on Tuesday, I really couldn't be here.

Thebes still has all his stuff, including a kill. Probably somebody who isn’t paying attention.
We should offer him all the not that useful powers in exchange for the kill. Also, we should snatch up that watch. Watches are great.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Night 1]
I'll respond to choice sections of Mac's case on me since it's huge and I don't want the page to be too ugly with quotes.
I voted for nova because of the analysis I did of his posts earlier, not because of anything sig told me. Nova's posts, from what I had seen, were focused entirely on one incident (involving sig) in which we established that the two of them had very minor history together. I did not actively want to lynch nova, but considering that it was a 3-way choice between him, sig, and Epi, I went with the guy I had the least reason to town read. I did not have time to flesh out my thoughts. I'm surprised you missed the several posts in which I mentioned I'd be unable to post, given how much attention you are apparently giving my posts.
Fuck this shit right here. Read all my posts before you make a case against me. Yeah, sig was a town read. Yeah, I had some concerns about him and raised them. No I was not hoping he'd be mislynched again. And no I was not around to object to his lynch when it was unfolding, nor was I committing all of my attention to some BTSC chatter while the lynch was unfolding. I wasn't here, and when I left the thread I had no reason to believe that sig was a threat to be lynched beyond the simple fact of his identity.
I liked neither of the lynches on Epi and dunya. I explained my stance on the Epi wagon more than once, but to summarize, Epi is not a player who struggles to get his hands dirty as scum. He relishes in it, in my experience. For him to be suspected out of the gate for being too quiet and unhelpful is dumb.
The dunya wagon was based on an accusation that her posts were "hollow" and some nonsense about Dom and BTSC. The latter was more dumb than the Epi bandwagon, but the former at least has merit. I just did not make the same perception about dunya's Day 1 output, and she's a player I have an easier time reading late in games anyway. I was not keen on lynching her first in this game.
On the whole I like this post because it reflects a nuanced read of me with attention to some of details, if not all of the pertinent ones. I'll smack a town read on Mac.
This is fair and I do not object. Day 1 is always about throwing crap at the wall for me, and said crap is going to be crappier when I have as little time as I did over the last 48 hours. I promise you I provided all of the content I was able to. I do object to your analysis of my stance on sig for a number of reasons though.MacDougall wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 10:26 pm The Sloonei case is about posting rhythm and shifting perspectives. It is clear to me, that Sloonei is engaged with the game but I am not seeing the same quality of case making and of pressuring players that I am used to. My feeling is that Sloonei is not giving the game all of his game content. I feel like he is playing a game of whispers. He seems to state perspectives and then not act upon them in a consistent civilian manner.
There was no sig lynch unfolding when I was here. Dom and sig were going back and forth and I wanted to see how that played out, so I left them to it while I tried to get other people to talk. When I left for work, something you seem to have failed to notice, sig had 1 vote and it was Dom's.In the aforementioned you can also see that Sloonei defended sig, and made comments about how sig always draws suspicion. He also said that he appreciated sig’s post and that it was a nice thing to do. Sloonei as accutely aware that the end resulting sig mislynch was a possibility, right back at the start of day 1. Yet as you read on later he made no mention of this possibility again when it was actually unfolding. Instead batting away dunya and epi voters, and taking the easy option of voting for Nova (someone who he also defended during the day).
What you label "discrediting" is me trying to get a read on a player. I had a concern and I asked sig about it. His response made sense. At this point I should note that the deciding factor in my town read on sig yesterday was based primarily on his level of activity. I rarely see sig so vocal on Day 1. I wish now that I had raised this point because you guys did what you always to do sig.More really soft pressuring of sig that he never went ahead with. Consistent soft discrediting of sig throughout the early parts of day 1, which no doubt contributed to the general consensus that ultimately got him lynched.
These paragraphs are all bullshit. Tremendous bullshit. Again, I was at work for the final three hours of the day. I was occupied there and could not read or contribute to the conversation that was going on. I was skimming very lightly and following the poll. I saw that Epi had 6 votes, while sig and nova had 3. When I left, Epi was at 4 votes and several other bandwagons were stalling. This part of the game was when the Dom and Sig back and forth is in full effect. Sig being a player he had strong opinions of right from the start, but here when sig is starting to take pressure that ended in his lynch Sloonei is quiet on the subject and remains so right up until the finish. For someone who started the day concerned about sig's natural ability to be suspicious, for him to have no say on sig at the end of the day one way or the other is strange.
Here we have a direct interaction between he and sig. The only one towards the end of the day. Sloonei asked for feedback on why Nova was getting votes to which sig obliged. I don't think Sloonei directly asked sig, but sig did him the courtesy of answering the aforementioned question. It was sig who really ended up providing the perspective that ultimately allowed Sloonei to put his vote on Nova right at the death. If Sloonei trusted sig that much, why did he not defend him? What happened to his opinion on sig from earlier in the day?
I voted for nova because of the analysis I did of his posts earlier, not because of anything sig told me. Nova's posts, from what I had seen, were focused entirely on one incident (involving sig) in which we established that the two of them had very minor history together. I believe he is Persian. I don't think Nova is. Sloonei became relatively quiet right at the end of the day, most likely because he was chatting in BTSC and had no reason to fear the outcome of the lynch. If Sloonei is Persian there is a moderate chance that much of his days play can be explained by him subtly influencing the lynch away from a teammate Dunya. I don't think Epignosis teammate indicative because Epi growled at him at one point in the game in a very non teammate compatible way. More likely is that none of the lynch candidates were teammates at all and we never had any scum under pressure (aside from he himself briefly).

I liked neither of the lynches on Epi and dunya. I explained my stance on the Epi wagon more than once, but to summarize, Epi is not a player who struggles to get his hands dirty as scum. Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Night 1]
Mondays and Tuesdays are my busy days and my performance always dips on those days. I'd say you can trace this across pretty much every game I've played here over the last couple years, but who wants to do that? I've apologized for my lack of activity a bunch of times already and I'll be able to make up for that moving forward.
But not right away because it's nice out and I have the day off. I didn't want to spend any time in front of my laptop this afternoon.
I disapprove of where the votes went yesterday, but the thread activity has been solid, from what I have seen. A busy day 1 is a good day 1.
