This is the last post that @Choutas made. He accused me of jumping on his bandwagon after I had ISO’d several players and assessed him to be a worthy vote candidate based on his (lack of) interaction with colin.

I don’t expect him to come back with a full list of reads, but I would like it if he came back and said anything to substanitate any of the reads he’s expresses so far in this game.

That’s an odd little episode in this game that I haven’t been sure of at any point. I remember choutas a player who would pursue angles that were offbeat from the rest of the game, but I also see the angle you are proposing here. Golden was a weird target to go after, and it also acted as a soft defense of me. He would then chuck that defense of me away when I started to be suspected.

Weird =/= Bad, though. I put my vote on him primarily for pressure and discussion, but I may be comfortable enough leaving it there.
Spacedaisy and nova are the other options I am considering most on this poll. What happened to all those dunya votes?

I have not given scotty much thought as a suspect in this game, but that’s because he’s oozed sincerity whenever I’ve looked at him. While concerning from a medical standpoint, it’s reassuring to me in this mafia game.

That's what I read this argument as first too. And I agree with Marmot completely. Day 1 interactions are often the best place to get a read.

I have no idea. I just assumed the self-vote was hos way of permanently “clicking to see results” without actually casting a vote. I don’t think he wants to lynch himself.

That would actually be amazing. However due to recent events in the Genius game, we shouldn't play mafia games together. Bad things happen.

If you can lie to each other in mafia with no hard feelings, then you'll never have hard feelings in mafia at all.

It's a tough one though I started my mafia career lying to youth group kids in person as their leader. I have no moral mafia compass after that

I only pointed out his absence to try to show what I'm talking about. It's not just that he's absent, it's the way he's absent that irks me.

I don't think spacedaisy is bad either, but much less confident that I am with scotty. Daisy is quiet bad or good (perhaps this is just by my standards), but the way she expresses today gives me a little heart - I don't think she's so bold as to say things like 'I'm not going to hide behind inactivity' when she's bad.

Doesn't saving typically involve actions that help your teammate not get lynched? If he was saving nova, why not vote one of the other popular trains?

(Keeping in mind I wasn't in the game until D2 so I might be missing some understanding of how the lynch went down)

I also read some previous Spacedaisy games. Novaselinever made a good point.

In Mafia of Unfortunate Events Spacedaisy fell behind for real life issues, but made a concentrated effort when she was around, and gave a long explanation of why she wasn't around. She was civilian here.

In Fiddler on the Roof Mafia, Spacedaisy was her, and she did specificallyrequest to be lynched. This was in an Endgame scenario where Spacedaisy was the only mafia left, but the pressure on her had been building, and supatown Mac was already ready to lynch her.


This game aligns more with Spacedaisy from Fiddler on the Roof. The exception here is that the pressure wasn't there. Spacedaisy's response to nova was much less provoked. Nova only asked if she had caught up on the game thread, no one (that I recall) was pushing for Spacedaisy's lynch.

There was not as much colin interaction in her ISO as I would have liked, but on the whole she’s been one of our most active contributors, even with her recent inactivity. I don’t think I would vote for her today but I’m still open to discussing her.

What do you say to cbob's point that colin didn't actually do anything to save nova on Day 1? If he was trying to save him, he would have voted for sig or epi, would he not have?

This is a fair point on one hand in some games and with some personalities. On the other hand, Epi had 5 votes, sig had 4 and nova had 4. There was only 10 minutes left. It could be safely assumed the vote was all wrung up without his hands getting dirty at all.

But yes, on that one hand, knowing sig and epi were both good may make a good case for nova's innocence too.
