Yeah, I understand the suspicion against him. Last game I played, Kyle was town, and very different from here, much more active and loose.

There's rather few players I would actively oppose to a lynch on. Which is sad.

I am also used to Kyle being more active and lose but he has recently taken a job and is not as available as he once was. I have to take that into account when assessing him.

That's fair. I just feel a lot of the players haven't really gotten into the game yet. So it's hard to assess that.

Some of the roles have vote trickery going on, so a conscious decision of making the vote close or not close can be made. Just putting it out there, not really in the mood to think about what's optimal myself.

It isn't a conscious decision to be funny Kyle. It's a subconscious gravitation toward a state of comfort generally enjoyed by a Kyle who is not trying to kill everyone in cold blood.

yeah but that's really not a thing. humor and comfort aren't alignment indicative for me. in all cases I am either trying to hunt the badboys effectively or pretending to hunt them earnestly. Neither thing prevents jokes from happening.

I believe it was Mac who observed that Kyle was easily forgiving of my poop [ice cream] fling. The assertion he makes here about my play is an accurate one I believe, but I am uneasy about seeing someone other than me actually saying it. Usually when I make claims like this, even if true, nobody listens to me. It all goes right through the ear canals from end-to-end, and I find myself saying them again at some later time.

I need to know what Kyle has observed from me which makes him comfortable in adopting this perspective that everyone else has always seemed so comfortable to ignore when I have stated it.

I guess the best example i can think of is phenon 2 where you were mafia and the thread was in a constant stall state. you took advantage of it and rode that wave to victory, of course you also like... did shit and made shit happen but it was never anything that wasn't already going to happen. granted, that was a sockpuppet game so you had a little more tactical freedom than usual but it was still notable to me. I think you actually cited that game during fiddler as the counter-example to my claim that you would be perfectly capable and willing to fake the act of pushing the thread forward as a mafia in order to gain civ look-ness, which you said something along the lines of.... 'sure I'd try to make it look that way but actually pushing discussion forward and getting people to talk while mafia is more detrimental than the amount of civ credit obtained from it is worth" I actually still disagree with that logic but I believe that you believe it which is the important thing.

but even more than that, I've found you to be the type of player who tells the truth when talking about your own meta even when meta-wise it's probably unwise, because people don't listen, and don't trust, and don't remember. so I listen, and I trust, and i remember, because your self-confidence is gonna lead you into useful consistencies sometimes.
