It's like when you set aside time for homework and all you wanna do is play video games. I'm pretty sure that if I don't get lynched today, I'll get lynched tomorrow. The only alternative on the menu that I think is scummy is Jack. MP's not on the menu. Quin's probably not on the menu, and it would take like an hour of work to get him on there.

Well, I was just checking the role list. New development. Technically, there's only one indy left. Choutas or Quin are not bad picks for it. Though Quin's not a bad pick for scum either.Scotty wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:48 pmWho are the 3 indies in your opinion?speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:42 pmSame here, and I feel bad about it.Scotty wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:38 pmlol I don’t feel inspired to get you to moveM Plus 7 wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:38 pmI’m still thinking over everything. JoH is possibly the indy that just picked, since he's getting all into the game now. Since he already picked and I'm not dead... it's more likely he picked town. Because he wouldn't pick scum after convincing himself that I am scum and pushing so hard for my lynch.
Lowers the odds that he's scum, given the way that the timing lines up.
The other 3P picked an alignment on N2 I think. Right after the Colin lynch. That would lead me to think they picked town as well. It was also so early that they probably haven't been playing like a typical 3P. They have been town (or technically mafia) for a while now. If it's town, they're probably Nova, Kylemii... Sloonei picked up a lot after D2 as well. Cbob is also an option.
If they're scum... then it's just another scumster, hunted normally.
Really this 3P could be most anyone I guess. The only candidates that played too hard for one side on D1 or D2 are dead by now.
Hard to narrow it down. Maybe Quin, Jack, Sloonei?

So yeah, if Jack is 3P, he's picked an alignment now. Which aligns with his play and makes me less likely to consider him as a scum pretender.
Don't really want to lynch Nova though.

[VOTE:
Quin] aubergine for now.
I will totally vote Nova to save myself. I'm not THAT confident in my townreads. :P
linki: I had a hard Nova townread on D1, and since then, the only suspicion I've noted against him has been "Oh, you defended/pursued the wrong people" which is like, the easiest way to frame someone because townies don't know what they are doing.
But I've been skimming. What's up?

Jack had an abrupt change in behavior today. One of the 3Ps had an abrupt change of alignment today.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 5]
If you aren't sure what's inspiring a read of mine, just ask. I can explain it. I can't recall exactly which two posts to which you're referring, but I've been torn on Marmot all game and continuously been considering various factors. There was one post he made in particular that pinged me strong and made me think he was bad, but then I walked back from it realizing I was probably overreacting. Not sure if that's what you're referencing or not.speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:38 pmYou went from "I have a solid reason why Marmot is meta good, and I cannot see him being bad" to "Okay, maybe Marmot is bad" in like, 2 hours. He didn't even do anything.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 2:33 pm Speed, you also keep calling me a scum read for a while now. I have no idea why you’re doing that. You cited, to my recollection, one reason prior to “twisting” your words today, and that was for my change in opinion of Marmot. You did not elaborate on how that makes me bad.
Your reads are the opposite of transparent; please elaborate more.
It's off. THAT read is the opposite of transparent.
And then you're basically forcing me into defense mode today, which is all fun and good until you complain about it. I've harped on this over and over again. Don't send a person into the leading lynch train and then complain when they defend themselves. Human psychology doesn't work like that.
And the best defense to convince anyone you're town is to hunt, not to defend yourself.

Usually Quin is my first townread in a game. I usually see a genuine spark of towniness from him early. But in this game, I'm hard-pressed to say that he's had any impact on me one way or another. I have zero reason to read him as town.

The 3P players are equal in number to the scum players, and are the difference right now as to whether we are about to lose horribly or are POEing down to victory among friends. They also explain, in my opinion, a lot about the flow in the thread. I can't ignore them.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:25 pm Okay great. My theory is the same. You care more about if I’m 3P and if so, what I will do with that than you care about finding baddies. Cause you know where the baddies are. Cause you’re bad.
And because I've been focused on you, trying to ascertain your alignment, you think I'm overly focused on 3Ps. (and also because I was asked about them.)

Exactly the same as it was when I posted my rainbow after Day 4. I’ve been totally absent from this day phase until this morning.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:26 pmYou're god damn right.Sloonei wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:25 pmInterrogations like this one here, your passion when you came into the thread to change the course of our lynch yesterday, your general thread presence. But seriously, thanks for elaborating.
What is your current reads list?
At a quick glance I like the direction of the speedchuck case, but I’m not clear on all the specifics of it. I am waiting for him to answer my most recent question.

Don’t get me wrong, I love that tinfoil. It’s wrong but it’s the kinda thing I would do.

See, this is how players should be thinking.
It's wrong, but it at least considers game mechanics.

Why would it be a problem?Sloonei wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:10 pmIt seems he’s become more serious. Is that a problem?speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:04 pmJack had an abrupt change in behavior today. One of the 3Ps had an abrupt change of alignment today.
That's my theory. It's not bulletproof.
It's a solution.

Also, if the leader of Athens died, someone would take over the anon communication seamlessly. It says in the leader's post that he communicates through the host.

I'll switch to nova for now. I'd like to see what he has to say.
[VOTE: NOVA] aubergine
I'll be back well in time for the deadline.

I was under the impression that you’ve been pushing him as a suspect. Was that a mistake on my part. I see you are voting for quin now, and you said you could vote for nova out of self-preservation. Has there been a change in the nova case since yesterday, or is it still the same?
