Nova pushed pretty hard on Colin n1. I feel better about him, meaning I feel correspondingly worse about Mr 2 Hotty.

You’re leaving out the crucial part of my whole case: he then actively pursues other avenues and reads on D2 and only mentions Colin towards the EoD when there was no hope for survival. I would have expected someone that “pushed pretty hard” to continue to push for D2.

Look it up, there’s nothing there.

But why would nova have pushed on Colin at all is the question? Colin had one of the best scum roles (subjectively better than speed's even). With speed claiming burn out, if nova wanted to throw shade at someone, I imagine speed would have been the best target, esp since his role gets passed down to Colin anyway.

I just don't see it because there was only suspicion from Golden at that point, and he amplified it quite a lot. I know bussing exists, but bussing someone with 5 shots, and pretty good night actions, seems really fucking dumb.

Here’s the problem with this though:

1) Colin was a target for nova because Colin looked objectively fishy for his off wagon vote at EoD. He was already being called out by several people before nova addressed him. So by default, that little nugget is already out in the open to dissect. Even a teammate would want to bring attention to that for credit down the line.

2) Speed claimed burnout on Day 5. Who knows how recent that was, or even how reputable that is.

3) Speed was pretty clean on D1. What shade would be thrown at him anyway that was believeable?

4) Nova had just been in a strong lynch candidate and needed to kick it into high gear, so he started getting dirty. Sorta.

5) Last but not least, nova may have voted Colin in the end, but he never pushed for colin’s lynch on D2. They only had that back and forth. I’ve talked ad infinitum about this already.

Also, I’m sorry to be blunt JJJ, but this thread mechanic sucks. I don’t want to break any rules, but I also don’t feel like asking a question every time I post to make sure it doesn’t appear as a loophole.

We can build cases, but can’t single out anybody. We can review ISO’s and talk about players but we can’t use descriptor words? I think?

Like, I dunno. It’s too much to think about. And so, for that reason, I’m out. But I also feel like I should keep talking about everyone to balance things out so I’m not breaking a rule

A couple things that just crossed my mind.

1) speedchuck's role is the perfect role to bus. The mechanic is playing out very much in the Persian's favor, something mafia could easily take advantage of.

2) It doesn't really matter much if the Persians kill a less than quiet player last night, especially if it's untraceable. We're floundering this day phase, so even a high level of activity might not do much for this day phase, something that could be anticipated by the Persians.

It was Becca Swans first day at Greece College. She was nervous.

"I'm nervous" she said, and also was, "I'm nervous being in a new place, and also cus of the numerous murders that have been taking place lately during this last week. :/ this school sucks, no one ever died in my high school"

"Yeah, I hear ya." her best friend Kylemii said. "It's probably because our school is full of vampires and shit. that's just how life is sometimes. some people just have like... regular schools with no murders and no vampires, but we have a Greece themed school with several murders and some vampires. probably at least 2. oh well. hey do you want to see a picture of a funny cat I saw"

Becca wasn't listening, she was too busy watching as people moved about the lunchroom, where this scene has been taking place all along by the way.

"I kinda want to smooch a vampire" becca said, somewhat abruptly

Kyle thought for a moment and responded, "well.... vampires tend to be kind of private, so we can't just ask. but there are ways we can figure it out. vampires always know who the other vampires are. they don't like to advertise that they're friends though, and it's kind of this whole thing. but all vampires are friends, even if they pretend not to be, that's vampire science"

"okay" Becca said, glancing at her phone

Kyle continued, "you're new here so you might not know this but two of the recently murdered students were discovered to be vampires, their names were Colin and Chuck, so if we review people in terms of how they interacted with those two, we may get a solid lead on who is and isn't a vampire."

"right." Becca returned to looking around the room,looking for even the slightest sign of a fang or a flowing red cape

he continued, "we can also somewhat narrow down who is and isn't a vampire based on how much effort they've put into hunting vampires, although that can be tricky because many vampires tend to spend a lot of time pretending to be vampire hunters so that fewer people will suspect them of being vampires"

becca's eyes narrowed "wait what that thing you just said basically makes no sense at all, why would that be a thing?"

Kyle rolled his eyes, "it's a metaphor. kinda. don't worry about it. let's get started. who should we look at first?"

Becca brightened up, "yes! finally! so uh.... what about that girl over there, with the cat? what's her name?"

Kyle turned his head, "oh, her? that's dunya"

"huh, that's a tough one actually. she's been out of town for the last few weeks, but ever since she got back she's been pretty interested in vampire hunting... if there's any red flag for her it's how she treated Colin during the Colin lynch, or whatever facsimile of a lynch there is inside of this vampire college fanfiction metaphor"

Kyle got himself back on track "nevermind. anyways her interactions with speedchuck weren't exactly impressive either. I mean they were there but not super strong"

"so is she a vampire?" Becca asked

kylemii thought to himself for a second "idk if I'd go that far, her effort in vampire hunting has at times, and especially recently seemed genuine, and while im sure she's capable of faking that genuineness, I'm not really feeling it here."

"so.... then... what does that mean?" Becca queried

"I think... if i had to make a choice, gun to my head, I'd say dunya is not a vampire, but I don't think her being a vampire is a complete impossibility" Kyle responded, "it might be good to review her again later on though, if we have time before math class, anyways who's next?"

"what about that guy over there?" she said, pointing at a blonde anime looking motherfucker in a track uniform

"Oh, him? That's Jack."

"what's his deal?" Becca asked curiously

"well...the thing about jack is that Jack has been steadily and continuously throwing paper balls at Chuck and also a few knives. He was a large part of why Chuck died. Chuck also accused Jack of being a werewolf and it was like this whole weird confusing thing, I don't think they're compatible as teammates, barring some kind of weird shenanigans"

"alright, that sounds reasonable enough, let's move on," Becca pushed, "who's next?"

Kyle glanced over at Quin, he was over eating his quin lunch that he brought from his quin home where he lives. he was being quiet and mysterious as per usual, off sitting by himself, about 4 feet from anyone else.

"well... On one hand, I have basically no idea what quin thinks or feels about anything or anyone. On the other hand, vampire Chuck spent a good chunk of time advocating for the death of quin based on a claim that he was on his vampire meta. Quin has never been at risk of actual death so it's hard to tell if speedchuck's treatment of him wasnt just distancing. quin also apparently voted for Colin at a mathematically significant time, or you know, whatever. idk how to say that in terms of this being a vampire fanfiction. but you get what I'm saying. Quin being a vampire would require some very specific pieces of distancing from both of our known dead. It's not impossible, but I think it does make vampire quin slightly less likely"

"Right, that all makes sense. All of those words are reasonable things to say in a school lunchroom, where we are talking about vampires, and also this is excellent fanfiction, i think." Becca said, truthfully.

"Thanks."

"So who's next? I never realized that guessing which human beings are and aren't vampires based only on interactions could be so difficult! What about that guy? That guy! Right there! Is he looking at us?" She asked, pointing
