I’ll address two things from that post.

1) I was messing with you when I said Speed was my scum buddy. When I defended Speed’s calculated GTH, I was serious.

2) When I said I’d tell you Speed’s real alignment on Day 6 this is what I meant: I hosted a game with Speedchuck as bad where he won (FE) and I replaced into a game as his scumbuddy (Pirates) and read the whole thing quickly and then worked with him to secure a win. I think I have a really good idea of what makes bad Speedchuck tick and I was confident that I’d be able to find him by Day 6 if he was really bad.

I think I’m capable of doing the same with several players (Silver Lantern, Sprityo, Nutella) and I’m less capable of doing it for others (Sloonei, Jay, Bob).

How about that for a new case, based on dunya’s theory that a role such as speed’s would be great to bus gradually?
what if it started off as a joke, (it's not, speed srsly rolls scum more than anyone I've ever seen), then he did use a role check and speed came back bad?

anyway just saying that could have been it. but I don't see a heavy push against speed from Jack until Day 5 based on those posts you quoted.

This happened in MK and caused Simon to be lynched 3 days after he was copped bad. I want to call this behavior acummy but I want people to weigh in
I'll explain myself...

If I was right about what you were doing, Jack, then lynching you before Speedchuck was the best move as town. If I successfully got you lynched yesterday and you were bad, then I could keep riding that wave to get Chucky lynched next.

But we lynched Chuck first and here we are... you have way more town cred now than you did yesterday, and my tinfoil loses its shine.

Hope that explains my thought process :mafia:
The thought process makes sense but I disagree with you on a strategic level.

Daisy and Bob townread me before the Speed flip. You and Scotty scumread me before.

Those things haven’t changed.

why by day 6 though? it would have been more convenient if ya'll had secured another mislynch yesterday and bussed speed by day 6? was that the plan? did it go wrong after you caught heat so you decided day 5 was bussing day?

i hate it when people give specific random numbers. you caught speed based on specifics (GTH 7 scum, but he named 8).

Day 6 is late game. I’d have him figured out by late game.

Took me 5 days of prodding Speed to realize he was actually bad. Not like I laid the groundwork for a gradual mislynch. I have maybe one post actually attacking Speed (for his rainbow) prior to yesterday. I didn’t like his reaction to it. That’s when the case really started.

Scotty’s missing some follow up posts to that where I don’t say “Speedchuck” or whatever he was searching for.

TH as mafia

Harry Potter - TH was Zuo Ci in this game (which went under the sock Jane Southworth.
Hobbit Mafia - Replaced in as mafia from Day 5 onward (was civilian before that I think).
Film Directors - Again, replaced in on Day 9, so was only mafia from then on.
The Flash Mafia - A game involving a map and lots of BTSC (though mafia did not have BTSC).
World Reborn - Another game featuring map-based BTSC.

Of course, the most recent of these games took place over 2 years ago.

If anyone tinfoil believes I poked Speedchuck all day until I actually started scumreading him, go take a look at how I treated Nutella in ME or Speed in Pirates. Or ask Bob if I’ve ever done something like that on the Realms.

If anything, I tend to avoid talking about my buddies (which is how I treated Speed and Nutella when we’re were teammates) because then I don’t have to lynch them or defend them.

They both defended burnt out Speed, who had an ability that triggered upon his lynch.

They have both kept on the idea that I’m actually bad from both before and after the Speed flip.

I can see Scotty doing this while town TH follows. There’s some inconsistency in when Scotty thinks I am bad and when he thinks I am 3P (and the question of why he’d want to lynch me if he was town and I was 3P).

I can maaaaaybe see scum TH and town Scotty. Scotty is trying, which can be but isn’t necessarily town indicative. TH could be along for the ride and hoping to mislynch.

And they could both be wrong town.

But that first scenario where they don’t bus the very busable Speed AND go all in on the suicide mission of trying to lynch me? Nah. I don’t see it.

It's mutidimensional, too. I bolded people if I felt confident about their placement. This is based on a skim, and I feel like a third of the game isn't taking things seriously. Which is fun and all, but I can't do it, nor can I read it.
Looking at this insightful D2 rainbow again.

Note that lap/cbob is now in the orange, even though he hasn’t talked about cbob yet. And Quin(kites) is also in orange- he did talk about Quin and the “Quindar”. Again, I think this is a good look for Quin.

Note also that he bolded certain people. Seems kinda arbitrary. Dunno what that means.

He also lists nova as a strong town read with the likes of Mac. Why?

Feels fake since he asked what we were doing and then did his own (soft) thing immediately after.
I don't care about the vote on me, but what's the relationship between Choutas, Nova and TH exactly -- why are they team compatible -- and why does my Towniness incriminate them?

confused. really confused.
At the time several ppl thought u might've been scum Dunya, as for Choctaw he was WFing, nova is funky, and TH was at the bottom of my rainbow, I said these names because they were all low in my list

It didn't necessarily directly incriminate them, at the time of that post, I had made a rainbow with those people at the bottom of it. My point was that IF dunya was Mislynched, then I would go after the rest of the people at the bottom as well

There is no change of pace or tone from D1 to D2 tho. If he got a red check back then don’t you think he would have ramped up his spitting on D2? I also am not willing to consider he saved the check until N4, because by then he’s already been calling speed bad every phase and he had to see that through anyway.

And to your second point: yes, that was my point and I thought your point. It was gradual until it wasn’t on day 5.

why by day 6 though? it would have been more convenient if ya'll had secured another mislynch yesterday and bussed speed by day 6? was that the plan? did it go wrong after you caught heat so you decided day 5 was bussing day?

i hate it when people give specific random numbers. you caught speed based on specifics (GTH 7 scum, but he named 8).

My favorite Pinky and the Brain episode is the one with Larry. The producers demanded an additional character so the writers shoehorned a new mouse in as awkwardly as possible, had him do absolutely nothing and included a monologue from the Brain about how Larry is totally unneeded and his presence ruins the show their plan to take over the world.

I have no fresh reads, have barely followed along in the last week, and have minimal energy for mafia right now. Work is sucking the life out of me right now and when that happens I don’t enjoy playing mafia because I’m just stressed and irritated, and this stops being a fun use of my time. I’m sorry to everyone, I hope I can get back on track in a couple of days.

I’m slightly concerned about Quin. I’ve given him a long leash in this game becaus he subbed in and is hosting elsewhere, but it’s Day 6 now and, from what I can tell, he’s not really engaged much with the game. I pointed out that he often suspects me until I prove my innocence in games, but he’s mostly left me alone here. That worries me a little.

lol I’m just saying that breaks are healthy for recharging. I feel guilty coming on here when my gf wants to spend quality time and I should want to spend quality time. But I also want to win games.

Can’t we have quality winning time? Is that too much to ask?

“Realize” is a bad choice of words considering the attention I paid Speed.

A better wording would have been “be sure.”
