My first thought was that it was a decent look. If he really thought I was silenced then that would imply he didn't know who really is silenced. At face value this is more probable than the more complicated notion of a misdirection (I don't even know the roles well enough to say whether that's even possible).

My chief hesitation would be that the assumption was made after only three hours. That's a leap.

I'm going to throw a vote on Avito this morning. He was here and didn't give us any content, no reads, no comments on thread talk, no nothing. I realize I am tainted by GOC where all the mafia on two teams laid low but so be it.

If I have a beef, it's that juliets continued demanding "content" from a guy when it became evident that he was not interesting in proving content. I do understand her references to the GOC though and why it might influence her reads. That game really was defined by inactive mafia members. There were eight bad guys, and maybe two of them actually gave a moderate effort.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'll clarify my position though. Sometimes being frank and edgy is fun, but it doesn't lend itself to people knowing what is going on in my head.

In any game, a civilian lynch on Day 1 is the likely scenario. There are exceptions now and then, and those are swell. I consider those to be bonus and often lucky. When a civilian is lynched on Day 1, there is a tendency for many people to despair and lament the failure, and I just don't think that's the right mindset. A successful Day 1 doesn't have to feature a dead mafioso. As long as the day phase is active, engaging, and ends with a bang, then there will be a solid foundation set for the civilians to build from.

Hell, almost everything I do on Days 1 is oriented toward that objective. I don't trust civilians to be able to read people well enough to demand anything more (certainly not myself either).

A Day 1 lynch of a civilian who had been giving a strong effort is a more negative result. That's bad Mafia and I will complain when that happens.

I still don't really feel like the civilians are losing this game right now. I mean, technically by the numbers that can be claimed. Sure. However, both of the lynches, while errant, were on players who would have been very difficult to remove from any POE pool. If you're going to be wrong, that's the kind of wrong you need to be. We have to climb out of a numbers hole, but things could be much worse. Civilians win after Day 1+2 mislynches all the time.

I can support a pennywise vote. I saw earlier discussion of how he’s a seasoned mafia player, one familiar in reaching endgame. I can’t place a finger where I’ve felt moved by them yet this game.

His specific reason was weak. It was awkward af, and he just jumped on the wagon that McDougall started. I interpreted Mac's vote as a pressure's vote and someone wanting to here from a player that hasn't really said anything and trying to get some interactions going. I didn't interpret Spirityo's vote the same way. His mention of Pennywise being a veteran player and making it to end games was bullshit. How is that a justification for a vote ?

About Pennywise, he is a low-hanging fruit. He was inactive, he doesn't really have any content and interaction to analyze and get a read on him from them. He is new.

At that time, I had not had qualms about anybody's vote. JJJ's vote was understandable since he ISOed Avito and has been uneasy with him. The other voter was Avito himself, and I called him out on it. He's still on me since D1 without justifications, and it's something we do on another forum when messing around. Told him to stop messing around and make a case if he thinks I'm bad.

Avito does, Lapluie doesn't. Avito, however was here and had time to post. He also had time to throw his vote on me again today while quoting a post not even game relevant. That tells me that he doesn't have any attention to play this game seriously, that's usually his baddie behavior. He feigns detachment from the game and flies under the radar. He usually gets vigged where I'm from for this.

This seemed to start facetiously and then immediately develop into real aggression. The initial beef regarding Avito dissing our emojis is crap -- there is zero reason that should be called a suspicious thing for Avito to do. From there it's meta reads that cannot be substantiated by anyone here, as we don't know the guy (apart from DDL who is only vaguely familiar). I highlighted a portion in there which concerns me: novaselinenever acknowledged here that Avito throwing votes his way is ordinary stuff on their other shared forum(s). This contradicts the assertions nova made elsewhere about Avito's play being specifically aligned with his mafia meta. This line in particular strikes me as bogus:

I hardly know Avito and I can already tell he isn't the sort who is likely to care about a demand like this. nova gave him an ultimatum which was never likely to amount to any change in behavior, and given nova's own commentary he already knew that. So why does the ultimatum exist? I see evidence of a player rounding the irrelevant-posting new player into a corner to justify the only vote he could make to preserve himself.
