Trust me. If I was a mafioso my pants would be secure. I would be in total unfailing control of this game and going hard for the perfect finish.
My pants are down because I’m a civilian.

I'm not blaming him and saying that if he's town he's not doing enough, I think he's just mafia though.

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]
But that's exactly what it feels like you're doing - going for the perfect finish. Tell me this: have you ever been civ before and had this many misses in finding mafia? I also recognize that you're a somewhat easy target since you've done the work of leading us and you could be civ. I need to read your iso in a couple of games where you were bad and compare I guess.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:04 pmTrust me. If I was a mafioso my pants would be secure. Also, Kyle's comments re: not trying to solve the game capture why I am feeling you are off.
I can wait until you get home from your conference for you to answer my question so you can conserve your phone battery.

Your question, juliets:
No, I don’t remember ever going 0 for 5 like this. After 125-some games I guess it’s bound to happen eventually.
2017 was my best year of Mafia ever and so far in 2018 I am regressing hard to the mean.

No, I would not feel demoralized. If I am mafia-aligned right now, getting lynched means basically nothing -- the civilians are screwed anyway. This isn't just a generic LyLo we're headed for. The unlynchable mafia boss worsens this dynamic from "really really hard" to "infinitesimally likely to happen". Lynching all four bad guys consecutively is a lot to ask, but lynching them in proper order adds a layer of implausibility so great that I would really estimate the chance of a civilian victory right now to be south of 1%.
If I were bad and got lynched, it might move to 2%.
I am demoralized because I am a Proud Man and I am getting my ass handed to me. I just hope it's people who are actually playing the game accomplishing that feat and not people who didn't even participate.

I understand why I am in this position though. There's no reason to trust me at all beyond vague shit like "tone", and I wouldn't figure anyone would care about that in my case specifically under these conditions.
So the people who are giving me a pass are hard to take seriously. Long Con, DDL, and Mac have not wavered in their trust of me despite my continued pants-on-head failure in this game. I'd figure on two evil-doers in that group at this point.

People who idk if they remembered their 1986 MacIntosh Desktop login:
Penny
INH
Nova (Spoilers, I feel like he's about to vanish off the face of the earth again)
People who I am okay with:
DDL
Mac (led town into the fire but less so than JJJ imo)
Marmot (Who?)
People who I think are scum and everyone is giving them a free pass:
JJJ
In order of who I think we need to lynch if we make it thru the night: JJJ, Marmot, Nova, Penny, INH, Mac, DDL from least to most likely.
If we really insist on lynching an inactive, well I guess it's Penny, Inh/Nova tied for second most favorable to lynch. But tbh I think it was just an excuse by jay to get him closer to a victory and then sip his cup of town tears

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]
True, INH.
Of the "trusts JJJ" clan I trust DDL and Marmot the least.
Mac and I at least have mind melds which have gone both directions and from both origins (we've each shared perspectives which started with the other guy). I have no idea why DDL trusts me. I have a suspicion why LC trusts me. Marmot literally never trusts me, so this is a bizarre time to start.

2. I have also been wrong so suspecting you for being wrong is hypocritical as heck
3. I was silenced yesterday and probably would have got my tinfoil on pretty hard if not for that
4. My ability to play here has been affected by bedrest and medication

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]
This is subjective nonsense, but the biggest thing that makes me nervous about you is that I think you're smart enough to realize that putting on a demoralized face and acting like all hope is lost is the best way for an evil JJJ to ensure his victory.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:59 pmI have a phone-it-in attitude right now, which is being being called evidence of my being evil, and that makes no sense if I am on the verge of a perfect victory -- or at least considerably less sense than I am demoralized after playing like shit.MacDougall wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:55 pmI don't get what you are trying to say here?JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 6:42 pm Yes, after dominating the civilians to a perfect record through five day phases with the finish line so close, only *now* do I become demoralized.

Love it or hate it, but civilians often look to you and your notorious pedigree for guidance, and you collapsing on the floor instead of still seeking out new leads and baddies would be a great way to get them to not care enough to try to win the game.
Whereas my perception of a good JJJ would, as Kyle was saying, be going down swinging. Or at least trying more shit than you're trying now.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a pep talk or a possible-vote-justification, but it's what I feel after just viewing you from Night 4 on.

Where is anyone's team?
The fact that I can't place any teammates here makes me very sad. I am usually quite good at seeing teammate interactions but there has been nothing particularly pingy in that regard.
Perhaps I will try to analyse interaction patterns to see if there is any strangeness afoot.

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]

Out of the things I've seen post Night 4? Probably Marmot and LC. LC basically shouted down Wolbre when he brought up JJJ as a possible baddie. Marmot, despite according to JJJ "never trusting him," voted with him blindly during Day 5.
I realize that's super obvious buddying stuff, but I'd guess that the mafia team has realized their numbers and are unafraid to blatantly throw around weight to protect their own at this point. Especially when Day 6 is potentially LYLO.

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]
Aight. I say given the numbers everyone just make a wall post broken into names and offers a brief answer to the below question.
What, if anything, is a reason to civ read this person?
Sound ok?

I don't remember anyone being removed from any lynch polls. A no-show is probably Tōka Yada.

The coincidence of Jay's last post and that role reveal is amusing.

The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.

Re: Assassination Classroom [NIGHT 5]
Why is this player a civilian?
Dragon D. Luffy:
I have not encountered a distinct moment in his post history to this point which makes me think ill of him apart from his recent trust for me. He's been relatively clean by the standards of the failures so far (not necessarily in his votes, because nobody has good votes, but in his behavior during voting proceedings).
How inspired is JJJ?

insertnamehere
He showed no evidence of being concerned with game proceedings from about Day 2 through Day 4. In his return he has made as fair an effort as anyone else.
How inspired is JJJ?

juliets
She's had a great tone throughout the game, and seems to be making an earnest effort to consider numerous angles. When she was a potential wagon alongside Epignosis I thought she handed herself very well.
How inspired is JJJ?

Kylemii
I think he reads as quite authentic. That's all I have, but it's significant.
How inspired is JJJ?

Long Con
He crossed the line when he was nearly lynched to a degree that can be reasonably explained by civilian frustration and would be horrendous sportsmanship as mafia anything.
How inspired is JJJ?

MacDougall
It is difficult for two players to arrive at so many of the same conclusions independently of one another without there being some kind of similarity in mindset (he and I).
How inspired is JJJ?

Marmot
He was silenced.
How inspired is JJJ?

novaselinenever
Every time he has fallen under pressure in this game, he has responded well to it and seemed believable.
How inspired is JJJ?

Pennywise
He is a human being with all of the associated body parts.

wolbre04
He is playing with heart and fire as a new guy in a game that for the most part has been active and engaging.
