But you are mr mysterious don’t share your working. It’s not like you are poster child for ‘transparent Effort’

I’ve no idea what you find odd about it.
You said I've tried with S~V~S and now you're saying I'm not transparent. Which is it?
Yeah, I’ve seen you try. So I know you can.

But mostly - no. When one tries to make such a transparent effort with you, it fails. You’ll always choose to do your own thing.

Which btw I take no issue with, but don’t come in here with a completely false and ludicrous argument about how trust makes townies behave.
I don't trust anybody 100% as you have claimed. Did I trust S~V~S 100% then?

If I did, do you think S~V~S and I could easily get on the same page? Is it the same thing as you and Scotty?

Doubtful.

Golden: "Scotty is a civilian. 100%."

Scotty: "Damn right. Golden is too."

*Crickets*

Votes in two different places.

I see a problem with that.

So you’re excused from doing it with svs because you’re different, but I have to do it with Scotty. Got it.

I’m not into your hypocrisy. I had no time in the thread this phase because of my father and you’re so butt hurt that I can use that as an excuse when it’s not, it’s just a fact.

If I wanted to play town like vompatti I would be entirely entitled to do that.

Don't pretend Epignosis and S~V~S can get on the same page as easily as Golden and Scotty could. That's not even close, and you know it.

And I'm 35 years old. I don't get "butt hurt."

No, I'm done in this thread. I can't participate because any avenue I wish to explore can't be explored, so I feel as though I'm wasting my time. Golden wants to clear Scotty, but I'm never permitted to explore the possibility that the two of them are bad together.

This game is impossible to play. I'm going to come in, vote, and that's all you will get from me.

Like honestly epi if you come at me about my ‘effirt’ in mafia... it’s the most hypocritical thing you can do.

You give no effort to be transparent. You give no effort to ever try to appear town. You avoid town cores. You piss around with people. People ask you questions and you make no real attempt to answer them.

This is the thing I hate most about playing mafia - that others think THEIR expectations of how I should play drives how I should play.

I don’t give a shit about how you think I should play. But attacking for lack of effort under the circumstances is just shitty.

(And yes, I am a bit sensitive about ‘effort’ right now since I nearly lost my job for ‘lack of effort’ who’s working 60 hour weeks).

I won’t stand for your hypocrisy. Why don’t you try making genuine efforts to be transparent and then maybe I’ll take advice from you. In the mean time, how much effort I put in to a game is my call and mine exclusively.

In this game I’ve put in substantial effort. Check out the post count.

I will not be bullied into forcing Scotty, daisy or Mac to have ‘transparent effort about getting on the same page’ with me. I’ll talk about my views in the thread, they will talk about theirs, and in the end each person will vote as they choose.

Sure you can explore the idea we are bad together.

You could start by answering either of the two questions I put to you about your suspicion.

Or are you the only one allowed to ask the questions?

Sprit, I stumble into every one of these games drunk as a skunk at 2:30 a.m. on a weekend and make enough typos that Epignosis personally should call my alma mater and have my English degree recalled. I abandoned class long ago.

Epi, I know for a fact, that Golden is town.

I’ll leave it at that. If he and Scotty are bad, then I’m bad with them

This is what it feels to me the convo with epi goes like from my end.

“This looks bad”

“Here’s an explanation for you”

“This looks bad”

“Why?”

“This looks bad”

“What specifically about it makes it seem bad.”

“This looks bad”

“I’ve given you everything I can, I don’t know what else to say”

“Apparently I’m not allowed to play the game.”

When I get the "OMG SCOTTY AND SPACEDAISY AND MACDOUGALL ARE 100% CIVILIANS" role I'll be sure to put forth some effort in a game with zero flips and nothing for me to advance on but everybody's word.

Only scotty was cleared by my role as I’ve made clear multiple times.

Mac and Daisy were cleared through their own actions. They aren’t 100%, but I struggle to make sense of certain actions if they are bad.

Are you telling me I’m not putting in effort? Is that what you’re saying? I mean, even still, your posts aren’t actually enlightening me about what it is exactly you find odd or suspicious.

I accused you of not putting forth effort in one area of this game: Getting on the same page with Scotty- the one person you claim to be 100% sure is a civilian.

I have a problem with that. I have no problem with your effort otherwise. Stop making it about anything else.

Simple request.

If you genuinely want an engaged conversation, stop with the cute answers. You are making out like you’re so put on by me here, but you won’t answer a single thing straight.

You are coming at me over semantics but making no effort to transparently engage yourself.

If you want a real conversation about whether I’m bad, engage in it properly and earnestly.

Ok well:

Exactly what instances were scotty and I not on the same page?
Exactly how little effort did we put in?
Exactly what effort do you expect?
Why do you expect that effort? What do you think is townie about it? What do you think is bad about the opposite?
I said I'm done, Golden. I meant that. You can run this game. You're already doing it.
I didn’t run the last phase and you’re coming at me for NOT doing it.

But ok then. If you won’t actually engage in your suspicion, I can’t engage back.
I said I'll leave you be. Isn't that good enough for you? Get the win, Golden!

What kind of question is this? We still have our own opinions.
If you are both utterly convinced that the other one is a civ then why are you not making more of an effort in the thread to unify your vote to achieve what you need?

Seems fishy to me.

Two things

1 - as I said several times, I didn’t have the time or energy for effort if any kind this phase and

2 - again, why? Im not threatened by differing opinions.

I trust each of scotty, daisy and Mac 100%. Hell no I won’t try to force that group of 4 to vote together.
Why wouldn't you? If you are a civ and you believe three other players are civ then if you can coordinate the votes you have a crazy powerful faction.

Why wouldn't you?

Mac, maybe you can answer the questions I put to epi then.

Because I think both of you are speaking bullshit, and I doubt you’ve ever held yourselves to such standards.

Even in mason pairs I haven’t always voted the same. I don’t think either Scotty or I had huge time that phase.

This game is impossible to play. I'm going to come in, vote, and that's all you will get from me.

When Epignosis, Sprityo and I were masoned in Fire Emblem we very much coordinated. We coordinated our votes so well we got Jay mislynched.

You apparently see it, but you can’t for the life of you explain what it is.

Epi

It’s not my fault I got my role description that I did. It’s not Daisy’s fault she got the one she did, read my town on day one, and gave me a token of trust.

But I hate that you oppose the idea that I could have knowledge so strenuously to the point it affects your ability to enjoy the game because you don’t have the same.

If you want me to seek a replacement I’ll seek a replacement. But this is not fair to speed or anyone else. This is a game that enables infogathering and infodumping. It is what it is. I can’t help it. I can’t help that I don’t play it the way you think I should play it. I’m sorry if it causes you to be frustrated at me or the game.

Golden I think you are overreacting man. You should try to see it from our perspective here. What's the use of having a public town bloc if you don't coordinate them as a voting bloc? This is your bloc so it's your responsibility imo. Nobody begrudges you being away from the thread because of personal reasons but you were posting and here as much as anyone even though you didn't realise it so a simple effort towards getting your town bloc voting together would have made a lot of sense given how adamant you were about sig's alignment.

Mac

Understand this well.

This is a game. It is not real life. I have no responsibility to any of you. You come after all of the things I have actual responsibilities to.

I made what effort I could to convince you to vote sig. you wouldn’t. I don’t know who Scotty did vote or who he suspected. Zero idea. I expected he would vote sig. I’m not sure I even read a post from him in the last phase.

I engage with people that are there with me. Any perceived responsibility others think I have is their burden. I always give the best effort I can, but I feel no burden or responsibility to do that. I do it because it’s what I expect of myself.

Please stop overreacting so much Golden. I do not have the benefit of information so you need to just deal with the fact that I remain sceptical and stop throwing your toys out of the pram every time I ask a question when something unusual occurs. I will not be bullied into forcing Scotty, daisy or Mac to have ‘transparent effort about getting on the same page’ with me. I’ll talk about my views in the thread, they will talk about theirs, and in the end each person will vote as they choose.
Agreed.

Asking Scotty to vote for sig would be the minimum base expectation to be honest.
Why should I ask him to do what I tell him to? I’m already accused enough of being an egotistic bully who just wants his own way.
Okay you're obviously just upset and not seeing reason so I'll just leave you to it.
There’s no ‘reason’ to see.

I fundamentally oppose what you are claiming looks bad. I don’t think anyone else but me would be held to this standard.
