This game will remain in sign ups until 8/4/2018. As long as I have at least 12 people signed up at that time, I will begin the game. This is a set in stone start date, due to my moving schedule.
Please note, for those that played my Firefly game on Lostpedia: this is not just a re-run of that game. This is based on Firefly, the board game. You will see characters, items and places you recognize from the show. However, the mechanics are based on the board game and are going to be interesting and unique.
General Info:
Minimum of 12
No Maximum
Number of mafia depends upon number of players
Randomly assigned roles (each will have an assigned base skill set)
Day phases:
Vote for someone to lynch
Choose a crew, Captains hire (max six including Captain)
Captains may fire crew members (excluding Day 1)
Any players not part of a crew during a Day phase are automatically included in the lynch poll (excuding Day 1)
Buy items (excluding Day 1)
Captain’s choose where they will go the next night
Night Phases:
Mafia make a team NK
Crew limited to their own ship
Take on job
Crew must complete job
Mutiny Opportunity
Jobs:
Three tiers of difficulty at each location
Three levels of pay depending on difficulty
Captain chooses the job
Crew’s combined skill set will be pitted against the challenge difficulty in basic dice rolls
Crew members can privately decide not to participate in the challenge by PM
Once a job is completed it is removed from play
Only one crew can take a particular job at a time
Incomplete jobs:
Members of crew all on lynch poll
*Secrets*
Complete jobs:
Lynch Immunity for all but one crew member
Crew member to be on lynch poll chosen by Captain
Money (divided among crew at the Captain’s discretion)
Items:
Some enhance skill set as long as they are held
Some will be one shot powers, used and discarded
Items are for individuals, not crews
Individual can only hold one item of each type at a time
Mutiny:
When a majority of the crew send in PM saying they want to mutiny, the Captain is overthrown
Captain is automatically removed from the ship
Captain will be forced onto the lynch poll with +1 to vote tally
First person to send in mutiny request will take over as Captain

spacedaisys first Firefly game was one of my most formative teen mafia experiences, and a large part of it was black rock teaching me how to play in our mason chatroom before she got recruited by the reavers.

I don't know, wait now I do know, he was a Purple Belly! Because Bree was in Monty's crew (I can't recall who else was in it, though) and they achieved their mission one day and their reward was they could watch someone and if another player targeted them while they were watching they could redirect their target. And that night the Alliance tried to target someone they were watching and they redirected it to Turnip Head who was one of the Alliance's own team. It was brilliant!
That and when LAC spaced River because he thought she was lying about it when she claimed to be River and to have got a read on I can't recall who. But you were about to be lynched and if you had been lynched Zoe would have sacrificed herself instead (I think LT was Zoe). So he saved his BTSC partner inadvertently. But everyone was so pissed at him when she flipped River.
I think Keys might have been one of them. But I can't recall. Shinny was River, you were Mal, stl was a Reaver, Black Rock was Nandi I think, GWAW was Mr. universe, Enrique was Saffron I believe and he found you immediately and then began controlling your vote like every other day phase. LC was Wash. Illy was Shepherd Book. Oh diggz was Dobson and LinkMcCloud was... someone on the alliance team I think. Diggz thought that the Reavers had turned Link and he outed himself and Link as a result. He thought it because Link had gone silent in their BTSC for 24 hours. I was out of town during that time, and apparently that was why Link hadn't responded in BTSC either. So Link and Diggz died due to a misunderstanding. It was a pretty epic mafia implosion. But Link's legacy post was one of the funniest things I had read at the time. I still recall it saying something about his beautiful eyes. lol

oh god yes that game was incredible. eko was saffron and he kept controlling my vote so I never had to actually have opinions on things it was fantastic.
