I am unsure what you mean. But here is how it would work. You all can talk about who you might want, campaign to recruit. Or if you’re not a captain you can campaign for a job from a Captain. But an official offer/acceptance will look like this:

An official acceptance likewise looks as follows:

Speedchuck accepts the position on Serenity.

It takes both an offer and an acceptance for someone to become part of a ship’s Crew. Speedchuck could be the belle of the ball and get an offer from every captain. It’s up to him which he accepts.

Likewise every player in the game can ask for a job on your ship but only the ones you give official offers to can actually get a job on your crew.

The only way another captain can get in the way of the crew members you want is if that player would rather be on the other captain’s ship.

Once an official job offer has been both made and accepted, the player can’t be fired or quit to go to another crew until the next day phase.

Why?

This is a spin on "Epignosis is being quiet, and is therefore bad."

He doesn't say that, but that's the spirit of the post. DDL states a fact that should seem incriminating and waits for someone else to fill in the blanks.

It's subtle: He is talking about me rather than talking to me, and thus inviting discussion about me rather than engaging me directly.

Moreover, what am I supposed to address? That I'm not posting more about the fact that I clearly voted for the people who had zero votes?

So I particularly noticed the nut thing too. But to add to that, I didn't particularly love the way he went about challenging my reasons for voting who I was voting. By not being clear and specific, it felt like he was undermining the idea of electing captains who were readable - it seems to me that reducing the value in objective criteria for voting and increasing the scope for 'I'm voting for people that I feel like voting for' increases the scope for mafia manipulation. I was aiming to create somewhat of a consensus about both approach to voting and people, but that hasn't happened. For instance, I don't love THs votes at all - maybe it's biased because he has essentially removed me from top 4, but they also feel manipulative to me - and it's possible to do.

I wasn't trying to undermine your ability to read people.

Epi's case on DDL is a solid case, or, as solid as I've seen on D1. "People caring how other people see them" is one of those "tells" that people say is scummy... but it actually isn't. The correlation is not strong. DDL preyin' on that.

Show me statistics if you want, I won't pretend I'm applying some tried and tested method. I just read Nutella's post, got that impression, and decided to point it out.
