I did a quick catch up there and saw that sprityo has continued to just ruthlessly attack every single thing about every one of my posts as his self defense. I don't feel like I am in a very good position to further analyse his alignment based on how he is engaging with me because he is taking an "everything Mac is posting sucks" approach which given that I am a civ I can't help but feel he has to be making up completely. Especially since he, a guy who I suspected in the first place, is the only one who feels this way to this extent.

Red is a total contradiction.

Orange is belittling sprityo's opinion because he's the only one feeling that way. That's a thing scum do. Not town.

I don't see the contradiction personally, he says he doesn't feel like he's in a very good position to analyze his alignment but can't help but feel like he's making things up, those two things can coexist, can't they?

And I don't think belittling people's opinions is necessarily a scum move, why do you?

I mean there is not a single player in the game who would agree with sprityo's assessment in as much as how ferocious it is. Sure there are some players who have doubts about me and that's fine but sprityo has basically looked at every post and ripped every one of them apart with dismissive insults. Which I find, at best, to be petty and if civ, an irresponsible way to defend yourself. It's relatively admirable as Mafia though I suppose. I just personally don't see how taking a fixed position that the person suspecting you is scum and then proceeding to character assassinate everything about the person is likely to net success. Perhaps one would consider this an effective way to save one's own bacon yes?

Some other notes:

I, a person with a voiced suspicion of him, just happened to be his first ISO and he evidently believes he has found gold with it. The sheer chances of this are extremely low.

He subsequently has ISO read only one other player, Jay, who he gave a gold sticker to.

MP started off voting for him and moved his vote off with very weird reasoning and now is acting like the idea of a sprityo lynch is pants on head. This reminds me of when MP got himself caught out trying to save a scum teammate in Tree Mafia.

So the question to ask is:

Is sprityo mad that I scum read him and civvie tunnelling me?
Is sprityo a caught Mafia throwing out baseless accusations to discredit me?

I feel like there should be meta on both counts to analyse if anyone is want to do it. I have to head off on my morning commute so I won't be back for an hour or two. Obviously I'm not changing my vote.

I don't understand what you're saying at all. I saw something that my head thought could be a slip but my gut didn't buy it, I chose to point it out to get discussion about it to see what others thought of it. How is that derailing the thread? If Mac was proven Town then yes that would be a waste of time but he's not so it wasn't a waste of time.

Anyone know when/why Turnip Head voted for Alien? The only non-meme-y posts he's made so far were to question Luna on why she felt she was an "easy townie lynch". Alien questioned him asking that question, so I would think if TH thinks Alien is bad it's based on a defense of Luna. In those cases I'm always more about lynching the original suspicion, not the defender.

Fwiw I think your point about that post lacking a sense of him sorting his alignment makes sense and your case does make me reconsider him, because even though it's just one post, it could be him falling short on keeping his act up all the time of genuinely trying to sort him. But Townies aren't exempt from making those posts either of course, so it's not something that makes me want to lynch him, just reconsider him, but even if it's wrong and you're Town you at least made sense so didn't make an ass of yourself in my eyes.

Fwiw I think your point about that post lacking a sense of him sorting his alignment makes sense and your case does make me reconsider him, because even though it's just one post, it could be him falling short on keeping his act up all the time of genuinely trying to sort him. But Townies aren't exempt from making those posts either of course, so it's not something that makes me want to lynch him, just reconsider him, but even if it's wrong and you're Town you at least made sense so didn't make an ass of yourself in my eyes.
