Make your point already.
TFW you already made several points and they all got ignored because DDL is ironically playing the crew/ship game and not the mafia/civ game.
When people adress me directly, I reply. When people say "DDL was the Xth people to vote Sokoth they are probably teammates" I have nothing to reply to except "no".

If you have something that I can actually reply to, link me because I may have missed it.

I dunno about Golden and Enrique but if you want a good idea about (my) DDL suspicion you can feel free to check out this post here

- Casually making an excuse for SQ ("He doesn't play very often, that could color how I see his posts"/"If he's a newbie he doesn't look that bad")

- Resisting the SQ lynch ("This is bullshit/Not feeling this SQ Thing")

There's other stuff that I find DDL suspect for but those are the juiciest peaches.
A lil more than "DDL was the Xth person to vote Sokoth"

But seriously there is something to be told about the negative effect that fake BTSCs have on faction loyalty and wincon pursuing.

It happened in CC123. People were throwing their wincons left and right because of it. We formed crews that looked like cavemen tribes, became assholes to each other, and broke real life friendships over it.

Now here again, people are letting the psychological effect of having a crew with a name and missions impair their ability to think objectively and pursue the wincon that is written in their role card.

I can't explain anything that hasn't been explained already. Sokoth is a guy who plays mafia once in a blue moon and I gave him a break because people who are not used to mafia say dumb and scummy things. And I hated how the lynch formed so fast because it looked like a counter-wagon engineered by the mafia.

So we have hosts who are trying to make interesting new game mechanics that affect the way the game plays out. Sorry you don't think the players on this site are smart enough to adapt. Maybe we lose and learn from our mistakes. Maybe we're not actually making these mistakes you're saying we're making and we're doing just fine. Either way, if anyone is hyperfocusing on this it is you.

I support every attempt by hosts to create new interesting mechanics.

But I think from now on, whenever they do it, they have to think "am I giving the players a chance to do something other than play mafia? Because they might take it".

It's something I already do when I design indie roles as a host. Indies won't miss a chance to become pro-town if you give it to them, so I have to make sure they don't get that chance. But now I realize the same logic has to be extended to other mechanics too, maybe.

Look I'm sorry if I ended up insulting Syndicate players as a whole, it wasn't my intent.

I just think humans have some tendencies and they do things unsconsciously. I've read this tribal thing is what explains political parties, and anti-vaxxers, and a bunch of other modern problems we have.

I'm not gonna expand on that anymore though. Let's go back to the game.

Also I've meaning to change the house mechanics in Hogwarts for at least a week, so it's not like I'm gonna change it just because of this game. It was in need of a review already.

You're scary because I was scum with you in Fire Emblem. I know how bus-happy you can be.

I started the townreads on you in this game. You've suspected me in much the same way you did in Courage, for me being 'off' from the usual. (One of these days, you'll see that I'm always 'off.') You've been the right amount of aggressive, not holding back like you sometimes do as scum.

But I can't in good conscience grant you full credit for the Sokoth lynch. I know how slippery you are from when we were scum together, and you were in FE, where the entire scumteam tried to kill each other all game. That's the scary thing.

Ah I see. I mean, anyone who knows my history shouldn't give me so much credit for the Sokoth lynch. I don't remember, were you in the Mass Effect game? In that one I basically made the vote that turned the lynch to my teammate (gfishfunk) and rode that credit out to a win with Jack. I wouldn't fault anyone for fearing that a similar thing could be happening in this game, but I assure you it's not. Don't really know how to convince you beyond that. But why do you think I'd be teammates with Enri and INH specifically?

I was not in that game, but hey, more evidence.

I don't think Enri/DDL is town/town.
I don't think you're scum with DDL.
I was rereading your early-game stuff and you only went after me after my weak case on INH, and then turned everything that you had been fine with before against me in my read. Granted, this is the opposite of bussing, but I had a weak case so I think you'd do it.

Lots of little things. I'll try to strengthen the case later, but I'd rather lynch DDL/Enrique to see if I'm on the right track first. Preferably Enrique.

Also, clearly you are self-aware enough to do it.

On top of that, it's weird that you're addressing my suspicion as if I'm merely misguided (town) if you really suspect me. Naturally, my paranoid mind wonders if that is because you actually know I'm town and therefore trying to give a genuine (but uncertain) chase.

I've crossed the line now. No matter what you do, it's WIFOM bad.

For real, I wouldn't give her that much credit. She's not omnipotent. It's just hard to judge Nutella based on her lynch decisions and hard actions. One has to depend on tone and flow. Which sucks for us.

Solve your differences. Start arguing now.

Or rather don't solve your differences but make it apparent who is the scum. That works too.

"Start" arguing now? Arguing with Golden feels like wriggling around in quicksand, believe me. I've said about as much as I can about him, the rest boils down to creepy vibes. If someone else wants to talk about me and/or Golden they should feel free to do so. I've spoken my peace tbqph :keys:
My point is that it feels you two are spending more energy telling other people why the other one sucks than actually solving it.

And both of you have complained about how the other "doesn't listen to me".

Feels like teenagers tbh.
I’ve not complained about that...

This is a complete ignorance of my case. And earlier in the game you said you agreed that TH looked worst. Do you no longer think the stuff I’ve been saying is legitimately casing?

I’ve given a case. I’ve added to it several times.

I’ve done things that I think should help people see where I’m coming from. For instance I asked Mac to look just at THs day 5 posts. They’re just fluffposting.

I’ll admit it gets discouraging when I put the work in to iso and case and the response I get is essentially nothing. That one day I nearly got TH lynched, he had 8 votes on him at one point. Where did those people go?

Getting TH lynched is like pushing a boulder uphill. I believe he’s been firmly protected. That one time it looked like he could go, I wouldn’t be surprised if his teammates (or some) suddenly jumped on in a bus. By the next day willing lynchers are back down to me and Enrique.

So, I think my case on TH is actually quite compelling. When I get people to do simple exercises like I did with Mac getting him to just read TH's posts on day 5, he suddenly finds he sees TH as suspicious. To me, it's like people are predisposed to like TH's style and just town read him naturally, but when they actually look deeper or consider my points, they see they're there.

I've had a natural predisposition, I think, to town read those people who seem to genuinely consider what I've said about TH rather than just running past it.

This post was quite significant in my continued town read of DDL:
Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Mon Aug 13, 2018 9:59 pm Eh I don't put much stock for or against the nova conspiracy theory. A vote is a vote, it may carry ill intent but it also contains WIFOM.

I kind of not feel so good about nova yesterday. I wanna lynch either him or TH.
I also found both Nova and TH bad at that time. Although I preferred lynching TH to Nova. This post was on Day Three, so by that point you'd expect this suspicion to be fairly well formed and I would have assumed the basis for DDL wanting to lynch these two is that he had read, understood and agreed with (at least enough) my case on TH.

I also forgot that he framed it this way around... Nova preferred to TH. I only noticed this now.

But by day five it's this:
Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Tue Aug 21, 2018 9:14 am So I get the impression that both Golden and TH are mostly just complaining about how the other doesn't understand/listen to them.
Now, I could understand a turn around on a read of someone. I'm not upset about the inconsistency. What doesn't make sense to me is that he goes from essentially agreeing with my case (it was me pushing the Nova/TH link) to suggesting it lacks substance and is just be complaining.

Most importantly, day three was also the day that Dr Wilgy has lynched when I tried hard to get TH lynched. I've long suspected there is a save going in on TH on that day. The Enrique CFD swapped who was leading that lynch from TH to Wilgy. At the time I suspected Nova primarily. I already had that idea in my head. I could see DDL had done a similar thing, but I already had my town read reinforced in my head.

But actually - DDL was a key part of the CFD on to Enrique and then the move back to Wilgy. And where at the start of that very day he was saying his preferred lynches were Nova or TH, by the end he didn't vote TH at all and was a key part of the end of day actions that saved him.

So, I've been looking for who I think TH's teammates are for ages - and I've just realised that I've been spending a lot of effort saying I don't think it's DDL and I think I've been completely wrong.

I'm going to vote [VOTE: Dragon D Luffy] aubergine. And assuming he comes back bad, I hope that people will be willing to give TH a serious examination tomorrow, because I think there are big signs of teammate compatibility here.

WTF

I think it's pretty reasonable to ask why you have a town lock on a very hard-to-read person.
It's like you suspect me whenever I'm not in the middle of going after you. Gotta avoid that OMGUS, right? Or is it just that you don't want to dismiss my legitimate suspicions, knowing that I'll come after you harder?

Your treatment of me this game makes no sense whatsoever.

There was one other specific thing I found in looking for that one post in his iso, and I thought of you.

It was this one:
Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Sat Aug 11, 2018 9:12 am Actually this is not that hard to check. This is Sokoth's third game here.
This after he'd said 'how many games has Sokoth played'.

This came as a surprise to me in the moment, I thought it was Sokoth's second, but I didn't care in the least. Knowing it was his third was kind of meaningless. In now having a legit second look at DDL, this seems like the kind of thing you might do if Sokoth told you it was his third game in scum chat and, knowing you hadn't played with him before, you manufactured a reason to know that fact so you didn't give it away.

In the middle point there, did DDL read TH as scummy on D3 because of your well-reasoned case, or just alongside it?
That question determines whether this is a really good post-case-thing, or just a decent one.

He certainly gave me the impression it was with. I said something like 'is this the first time we are reading the game the same way' and he basically responded in the affirmative. Besides, if you look at the history of DDL in this game, a large chunk of the early game is him engaging with my Nova suspicion and the reasons for it, I definitely don't think you could say he was unaware of the case.

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to read the early part of day 3. That post comes reasonably early in the mix.

To be fair doing that myself I was sort of pushing Nova more than TH at that moment in time so you could say I also had them that way around. Nut Nova wasn't on the poll and TH was, and something changed for him within day 3 that meant he never actually followed through on a TH vote.
