Because this is Intro to Sloonei 101 behavior, if that wasn't clear by now. @Quin asked for a follow up too. Asking questions is my bag, baby.

and i called it dumb because i needed to convey a strong aura in swatting away the Day 1 mudfling.
So Sloonei doing Sloonei things means we should just civ read you? You'd like dat wouldn't ya.

Quin, don't let anything make you guess your coolness.

Nutella, saying things like "naw bish" doesn't make you cool. :P

And what is this love relationship going on between Mac and Nut?

Sloon, I doubt anything happened to Jay on Day 0. I think he was telling the truth.

Scumread. :omg:
Jack threw a scumread on me for a post I made before I had an alignment. I assume he did the same for others.

This gives me a townread on Jack.

Jack isn't the recruiter. I'll say that. I don't know about the rest of it since he may not have had an alignment at the time himself.
We were well into Day 1 when he started throwing these posts around. He had an alignment.
Sloonei, I am confused. Did Jack through out cum reads before or after alignments were given. I see a contradiction in your posts here.
Yeah this is a Mafia I think

But here it's all just fart butter and I wouldn't care about it one bit if it wasn't directed at me.

I'd prefer not to spend the rest of the phase defending myself though. Haters can hate. I'm a player, and players play.
There are several other people suspicious of you. You have been suspicious. Fart butter is a better description of your play than mine.

Please move past this.
You are asking me to play the game in ignorance of all my intuition and instincts?

Just kill me. Dr Manhattan taking out Rorschach style.
All the times mac said he didnt like sloonei^^^

just like I said, no case. only pressure. It's what Mac does best IMO. I stand by sloonei wanted mac gone so he could remove suspicion off himself. Because Mac would 100% keep pushing to lynch him Day2 (if we got that chance). I stand by that there was no reason to frame sloonei anymore because mac would do the mafia's job for them if sloonei were really town.

He could say he tried to save a Civ. The gain being looking like someone who tried to save Mega Man. Also, defining what is "gained" is, to me, a red herring. Acting unsure is gain enough, to a baddie. This defense is terribly shoddy, and I agree with Kness that you are suspicious.

It's just pinging me, like Quin's posts on day 0/1 pinged me. My intuition is awful.
You need to stop downplaying yourself, just say what's on your mind. It doesnt matter if your "intuition is awful." besides that It doesnt help telling it to us more than once. If Quin pinged you day 0/1 then look for what pinged you

Why would you have to say something when your actions say it just fine? Only a noob baddie needs to point out his attempts to look Civ.

I misread what you were saying. I’m not getting lynched today. Sloonei might be.

I’m quite worried about our active to inactive ratio, which caused major problems at endgame in MK and AG. Sloonei is about the only really active player I might vote for today.

Like ten people asked me why I didn’t move my vote. If I’m a scammer trying to look civ by an attempted townie save, why don’t I just say it? Or say that I think Eloh is a bad lynch when I switch?

Nothing about my switch from Eloh to Colin has made me look good and indeed, lots of people were bothered by it (understandably so as I usually call my votes and had expressed suspicion of Eloh). None of my actions surrounding this vote change logically point to an attempt to gain towncred.

The more logical explaination is the truth. I didn’t want Nova or Quin lynched. I didn’t think Eloh would be (having not seen the very late votes she gathered) so I moved to my most lynchable suspect, Colin, who seemingly had 2 votes. My third would have put him just behind Quin and Nova, players I did not want to lynch.

It’s not fucking rocket science. Your accusation makes no sense. People are just bothered by my vote being out of the ordinary and this is the incorrect or fake attempt to justify weird = scummy.

Do you agree with any of the posts Mac highlighted as scummy, sprityo? And how can you say there was no need to kill Mac to frame me when the crux of your suspicion is that Mac was killed? I barely believed in his suspicion and my frustration with it was/is that it was enabling others to misread me. He was a “town leader” by your definition and this also makes him an attractive kill candidate. What sets him apart from other “town leaders” is that his death comes with a clear and easy scapegoat, which you’re now pushing. It might look a little less bad if you’d suspected me at all before today.

When Mac died my first thought was that somebody from the mafia team could come in and pick up the torch for him, pushing the angle that I wanted to get rid of him. You’re doing the exact thing I anticipated.

The only reason I’m this route is because you pinged me when you brought up the wifom. I WOULD have just scratched it off as “mafia killing a town leader” if you didn’t bring it up. That one post in itself combined with what I know about Mac. Bring the suspicion back to you. It’s ideal for the mafia to create a “mafia is trying to blame me :(“ but again. There was no reason to kill Mac if he was just gonna mis step. They could’ve killed someone else, let mac lynch you, then kill Mac.

It all ties back to getting pressure off of you, sloonei.

So my plan is now that I wanted to get the pressure off me, but then I also decided to call attention to the very same issue for no reason? Sometimes when I get accused, I feel like there’s no consideration as to what my strategy would be in the proposed scenarios. You can say these things look weird, but that doesn’t mean they make sense for Bad Sloonei to do.

Mac is fallible.

Why would you have to say something when your actions say it just fine? Only a noob baddie needs to point out his attempts to look Civ.

I'm not bothered by your vote. Your reasoning here makes sense. I'm bothered by how you talked about it afterward and how you responded to people commenting on it.

Sprit's case is that Sloonei is trying to control the narrative, as soon as Mac died. Nobody else had suggested, as of that point, that Mac's death implicated Sloonei. He was pre-emptive about it. That suggests forethought, though it doesn't necessitate it. It also paints a picture of a guy who is very aware of the WIFOM involved in Mac's death, and who understood the strategy from both sides.

I can’t jusge this impartially right now, so I need others to offer their input:
Mac’s primary activity on Day 1 was to smear me. He did other things and made lots of noise, but I don’t think it’s unfair to say that I was his #1 suspect.

Mac was subsequently nightkilled. My instinct was to look out for people who would then turn that kill against me. I expressed this early in the day.

sprityo, who hadn’t touched me all game, then comes along to declare me his top suspect because I had expressed my theory about potentially being framed by Mac’s death. I don’t think it was at all unreasonable for me to feel that way, and I’d have no reason not to share that opinion with the thread. sprityo, however, suggests that there’s “no reason” for me to share it if I’m town. I don’t buy that part especially.

What’s more, he hasn’t identified anything in Mac’s suspicion against me that he agrees with. I’d like to see him at least try to do that. But for now I get the sense of a baddie making a concerted effort to spin a case against an established suspect (me). I do not get the sense that sprit has carefully considered my position in any of my posts. Instead it feels to me like he just seized onto a suspicion that already existed and is using that as his authority to suspect me.

Can anyone else see that, or am I just being too defenice here?

Sloonei wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 12:26 pm I can’t jusge this impartially right now, so I need others to offer their input:

I could see it. But I could see lots of things.

Yes?
I guess, but like, don’t we always look at a person’s suspects after they’re nightkilled? Am I not allowed to make these comments? I was wary of bad guys poking at me and wanted to pre-emptively address that. Is sprityo even considering the other side of his argument?
