@MacDougall hi I saw you just changed your vote from sprit to luna, whydat
Well now I look like I was being tricksy when I was about to explain that.
I was about to be all like oi sprityo sucks he bad but then I was like, wait why the fuck is Luna getting towncleared I have barely seen a post of hers since WW2. So it's a pressure vote.
Someone tell me why Luna is good.
INH went HAM on her, iirc.
oh boy that was quick for someone who didn't read what happened before he replaced in. I'm filing this one away for later... don't mind me...
This was a topic of conversation when I first entered the thread. I commented on it at the time. Look at my early posts.
ah so it was.
verifying this also reminded me of that weird post you made about inh's meta not realizing he was dead and there's all kinds of wine to be squeezed out of that wineskin

We’ve only got two bad guys left. Identifying dishonest claims seems like it could be an effective method for catching them.

I'm going to treat this as a scumslip.
Yeah Colin pointed that out and it does look like one. I have personally also been thinking it's most likely we have two left but this here is stated with a degree of certainty that's unaccounted for.

I'd prefer to get lynched for you all believing that I scum-slipped than for something that happened before I came into this game, but above that I'd prefer that you all didn't fucking think I scum slipped and don't lynch me.
If that's a scum slip, then my INH post was definitely a town slip.

*I assume we have only two bad guys left. I’ve been operating under the assumption that there’s five total for a while now, but that’s not confirmed. Either way, three dead baddies = a good chance for town, if we take advantage of the situation. I don’t think mass claiming needs to be treated as an awful strategy right now.
I elaborated.
While we're scrutinizing a select few of my posts, can we turn our attention to the things I've said about colin?

I was curious because maybe part of why I'm picking up good vibes from nutella is simply that she's voting alongside me, so I went back to trace her Jack case prior to this very moment and... well, it doesn't exist.
What does exist is this list of GTH reads:
nutella wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 11:03 amGTH babey
ColinIsCool - town
DharmaHelper - town
insertnamehere - town
JaggedJimmyJay - town Kylemii - scum
Bullzeye - town
Epignosis - town
Glorfindel - town
Owner of a Lonely Heart - town
poutanko - town Soneji - scum
juliets - scum
Long Con - town Lunalee - scum MacDougall - scum
Quin - town
Jackofhearts2005 - town karavalenge - scum
lapluie - town
timmer - town
Scum reads in red.
Compare that to her more recent ON NOTICE list:
MacDougall
JaggedJimmyJay
Jackofhearts2005
Long Con
Glorfindel
karavalenge
Mac and kara are the only consistencies. Three of her initial scum reads are dead and one of her town reads has flipped town, so a little re-shuffling is bound to be in order. I don't fault nutella for that. I am curious as to how these are the names that came out of that shuffling though. I already asked her about Jack and her answer satisfied me in the moment but now that I've got my scrutiny specs on I'm gonna want more. What prompted the initial town read and why has that changed?
In this post from a while ago you say that one of my town reads from the first list had flipped town, which was not true. Did you mean one of my town reads had flipped scum (INH) and it was just a typo, or did you mean something else?

Has anything happened since Day 1 that I can talk about? I’m not public enemy #1 or anything, but it’s irritating that there is a nagging suspicion about me which pre-exists my participation in the game.
Long Con saved you in a lynch. You are one of three people from the one house where we haven't found a baddie yet. Owner's day 1 play was suspish. And you have kind of even-keeled/steady-as-she-goe'd since taking over, participating but not sticking your neck out. AndI didn't like the night action dump earlier, though that is more minor.
My play has been what it is. It’s not as aggressive as I’d like it to he, but that’s due to life circumstances. The info dump was an attempt to shake things up. I was anticipating more of a response. We have info dumping as a tactic available to us and a lot of crucual claims are already out there. I don’t prioritize secretivity as much as I normally would at this phase of the gam. We’ve only got two bad guys left. Identifying dishonest claims seems like it could be an effective method for catching them.
I can see why this would seem like a valid strategy but this specific setup (3 powers per player, 2 actions per night for scum players) makes it a bad strategy, imo.
A lot of HCRealms lynches coming down to claims is more about a given character claim and power claim matching with the writeup and the host. There are no "characters" in this game. A player with any 3 random powers is just as viable as a character with any 3 other random powers. Unlike a busdriving Nightcrawler making more sense than a roleblocking Nightcrawler. And then there's not really any writeups, at least not to the degree of your normal HCRealms game. With the setup being on paper, you can't really guess what claims fit the host. So it's all down to mechanics and with the absolute hurricane of powers flying around, it's very much giving the mafia a roadmap without actually pressuring scum in a meaningful way.

Yeah again that's what happened in FE which had a similar ability situation -- my team had easy ability claims, we just didn't tell the whole truth.

I did indeed ask Sloonei to detail his thoughts on sprityo which I thought he did very well. Seeing the vote though, and more importantly who is voting for Sloonei, I'm going to need to take a hard look at him tomorrow morning. Too tired tonight.

What I actually think though is that either speed and kara are bad or quin and sloonei are, and I heavily lean toward the former atm.
What would be their motivation for linking themselves together with the floo story if they're partners? Possibly even the last remaining Death Eaters?
Does anyone not think we have 5 Death Eaters? I thought we'd all established that was the most sensible number.
The middle quote there is also evidence against the theory that Jay killed Long Con. He wouldn't have that level of uncertainty surrounding the night actions if he'd played a central role in them.
And the bottom quote is hella townie of me, like damn. Imma toot my horn. Nutella drops a scum pairing in my lap that doesn't involve me in any way after I've been on the hot seat and my immediate reaction is to dispute her? Nuh uh. Hell no. That's dumb. Lynching me is dumb. Don't do it.

Placing my vote on Sprityo mainly because he replaced into this game and has used that as an excuse to be a low-profile player. Which makes it super easy to slip by as scum. I don't trust him.

Epi kill:
Juliet: Why did the maf kill Epi? That's so random.
Luna: Hey, maybe it's someone he sussed, let's take a look!
Jay kill:
Juliet & Luna: Let's talk about something else.
@juliets @Lunalee Why is this different treatment? What will be accomplished by talking about Epi kill? Why no one talk about Jay kill when:
>Jay is a big fish
>Speed watched Jay and LC visited him N1 (cop? block?)
>Jay survived until D4
>Suddenly killed N4
If talking about who's getting killed by scum could accomplish something, isn't talking about Jay kill will bear more fruit than Epi? You two talked about Epi but not about Jay. Why?
Not really sure what you want me to say about the Jay kill. The reason I commented on Epi was because there was a discussion going on in thread when I happened to be around, so I gave my thoughts on it.

Last I went through Colin's posts (to find the INH/speed stuff) I actually saw posts that made me unsure. Like he looks bad from that interaction, but overall his posts look like town. Is Colin really good at hiding as mafia? Cause if he is bad, I'm impressed. Some of the stuff he's said is throwing me off a bit.

He has plenty of experience and I vaguely recall that Colin is cool under pressure, so I wouldn’t discount him for having a believable tone alone.
Honestly I can’t get past his vote right now. It has all the markings of a pre-meditated move. He's not engaging with the thread in its current state and he came in with a ready-made vote which he’s not moving off of.

His "not engaging" with the thread is worrisome. That isn't easily noticed when you go back and look at someone's posts alone. So yeah, I would be okay with a Colin lynch as well.
