Everyone's taking it too seriously. If you're here to play mafia, expect to be suspected. The whole point of the game is to throw accusations around until you figure out which one is right. I don't like it that you and dunya are self-voting. It's like a protest against the game.

I am not trying to convince you to town read dunya. If you can't see a townie in her fast and loose game, interactions with quin and initial refusal to let me hunt then you aren't actually trying to, nor do I expect you to, given you are the last Mafia and need her to be bad to win.

i wasn't emotionally vulnerable, and nothing speed has done can be called buddying me this game. i was angry though, and really disappointed.

i am pissed at the self vote. regardless of alignment, whether he's town or scum, I loathe these type of outbursts where someone just throws the towel in and votes for the themselves and tries to emotionally manipulate us (it follows the trend of "if people vote for me, i'm quitting the game" or glorf's truth meta, both of which i feel cannot and should not be used as tactics in a game of mafia). it's not cool, and that's why i make a pointed effort to banning the behavior in my games by including a rule that a self vote = a modkill. period. don't care who does it and what faction they are, it's not a strategy i can stomach. i am also pissed at the "dunya deserves to be lynched even if she's not bad" narrative. that was just outwardly mean, and i don't think you have to be personally mean to someone on that level in mafia.

i was very upset for a while, i guess, so i don't know if that's emotionally vulnerable. i just had to step away before i said something that i'd regret or ask for a replacement this late in the game, which i feel wouldn't be at all fair to my replacement. this is a game, one that we have all been accusing each other in, so i don't enjoy it when a tactic i feel should be worthy of a modkill (regardless of true alignment) was used and i can't justify town-reading him based on that scene and feeling good about my townread on him now. so it makes me sad.

i was asking mac for reads, genuine ones, not reads that he was randomly making about each person. i can believe genuine reads and observations; i am allowed to discredit text that i feel was just pulled out of one's backside. that isn't a pointed effort at trying to read someone, that's throwing shit out there and seeing which one sticks so he can go along with it. apparently i took the bait and he harpooned on speed when he felt i could lean that way. if anyone is capable of manipulating another player, it's macdougall. he is the kind of manipulation, he's one of the scariest scummers. he can do it out of apathy, and he can do it by making me feel like the best town player ever. i saw him do it to jay in ass class and was constantly face palming, so i guess if i'm going to lose the game to speed i'd feel less bad at this point about the loss than losing to someone who started to play a loose and apathetic game then turned it into a "let's try to get dunya eating out of my palm" game because he thinks i'm easy to manipulate. i'm not. i don't trust anyone who can wholly trust me. the reason i definitely town read daisy was because of her game solving efforts, the fact i felt she was the second pr (tho not a protective one tbf), and her healthy suspicion of me throughout the game. that's genuine and normal. especially a game so small, with litter room for error so everyone has to be paranoid and good dose of tinfoiling keeps us sharp. not tunneling tho. never that.

speed's tunneling of me was not healthy or normal. luna's handling of me was normal, she never town cleared me but she is open for discussion. speed seems set on discussing then debunking and twisting everything i say so there's no room to actually change his mind: it's already been made. i feel less and less convinced every time he said "i'm not tunneling, i'm open for discussion", like it genuinely makes me laugh and then just feel "ughhh" about. similarly, mac will not town read me this easily. he will not confidently put the poe between me and speed only without even genuinely looking into dizzy or luna or reading the thread properly. i can't see a town mac this game no matter how much i want to believe someone is able to properly read me, this looks more like a scum mac's handling of a threatened dunya who he wants on his side and who he knows is town from tmi. if we had lynched speed and he flipped town, he would have more than likely flipped on me, said he must have misread me and i was too quick to grasp at his speed case then gotten dizzy and luna/daisy to side with him as they all have varying amounts of suspicion on me anyway, dizzy a lot, and the girls a little less.

tbf, i know plenty of scum who are toxic too. i'm judging speed on speed. speed's personality doesn't fit the meta of hitting me below the belt that way if he was the last scum in the same way someone like juliets/glorf/sloonei wouldn't. i wouldn't put it past someone like nutella who has a pretty impulsive and hot headed personality in either alignment, but you said it yourself, speed is more reserved and calm as scum--so what is with the outburst this way?
