Somebody talk to me about times nonsensical looking poll options helped or harmed your faction.

I remember lots of “oh, the cubs should do this” discussions but I’ve never looked back to see if those statements were correct.

The Cubs don't have many holes in the roster, though some pitching inconsistencies and untimely slumps in the lineup cost them this year. If anything, they just needed to shake up the coaching staff, which they've already done. Maybe a few new pieces in the bullpen could help as well, but that's the case for every team. And they've been linked to Bryce Harper a few times, which I'm sure would be interesting. They'd probably have to move some money off the books to make that happen though. I don't see anyone taking on Heyward's contract.

Yeah, you can roleclaim and infodump. We're limiting discussing map coordinates for balance reasons.

Votes will be changeable by default in lynches, subject to mad whims.

The Nexus Point

The Spirit Oracle shuffled across his hut at dusk, exhaling long as he laid out the straw mat that served as his bed. He shuffled across his small hut to the soft curtain that served as a door. At his age, best to empty the bladder before he laid down, or there could be trouble later.

As he stood outside, looking at the night sky, he contemplated his decision to move to a remote corner of the world, post-Cataclysm. Sure, it helped him steer clear of the low-lifes, the grifters, and the CHUDs, but the quiet life did get a bit dull.

He paused, and squinted upward. Somehow, within the starry darkness, a deeper darkness was blossoming, inky and fathomless. Gazing into it made the Oracle's heart sink within his frail old chest, and the cold tendrils of despair began to twist sinuously in his periphery. An even deeper blackness began to grow, making the previous darkness look like daylight by comparison. Closer and closer it came to the Oracle, and he began to perceive the darkest core of it, the source of the mind-numbing negative energy. As it grew before him, it took the shape of a white-skinned woman with jet-black hair, thick purple veins, and eyes of unending emptiness.

The being spoke, and its voice, a sibilant whisper-screech, filled his mind with scorpions and drove him to his knees.

"Your realm is at a nexus point. Great and terrible things shall happen, events which will decide the future of every living being within it!"

It was like hearing the tortured wails of a choir on fire.

"I will be watching closely - for the first time in a generation, the balance has been cast into doubt! The culmination of the coming events will be the first steps toward an unknown future, an unwritten page. Even now, assassins are stealing life from your strongest leaders, simply to incite fear and violence."
