I'll start with this:
Many here can be the most devious people you have ever met. There are a few who have nobler sides and being evil puts them behind the eight ball, but they are a rare and celebrated breed.
The rest of us are fucking scoundrels. We're all different, but we are all fucking scoundrels.
reywaS- I'll start with him because he's the easiest to deal with- is largely getting a pass from me because he is a veteran who was gone for years and this is his first game back. Many of us do not kill or lynch new people Day 1, and no regular is going to kill or lynch reywaS on his first game back after years of being away. We miss him. We love him. Even if he's gotten Kanyed on, the love is there. He's on the table today, but I do not suspect him. Even through the Kanyeness, I've played with him and hosted him, and I don't think he's bad. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
nutella - As I alluded to earlier, I am about 1-for-14 getting her right. I always think she is bad, and once I defended her with the intensity of Henry Fonda (that reference probably eludes you too, unfortunately), and she was bad. It was awful. Nobody here thinks she's bad, which means she probably is. That's how it goes. She's more than capable.
nova - I'm just surprised he's posted more than five times.
Lunalee - She's relatively new here. I perceive her as being opportunistic whether good or bad.
Finally, there's me. Naturally, you should take what I'm about to tell you regarding myself with a grain of salt (or, as I often like to say, the whole Morton company).
In the five years this site has been alive, I have the most wins as mafia and the most wins as a civilian. Unlike JaggedJimmyJay, I'm actually good at this.
I am a strategist, and Sloonei was right about one thing- I perform better in non-vanilla games, because that's mostly all I've known and hosted. That's what almost everything here is: Madness. It's easier to catch someone in a lie when there are many moving parts.
When I am bad, I hate losing teammates, and prefer a clean sweep if at all possible. That is not to say I have never voted out a teammate- I've done so three or four times in five years. Teammates are resources, and most people here expect mafia to get thrown under the bus and start looking that way anyway, so I avoid it where I can.
I don't lynch or kill my wife unless absolutely necessary (Elohcin is my wife).
I drink a lot.
And one thing I love to do when I am bad is let the civilians make mistakes. That tactic is true in a lot of competitive aspects of my life: Let other people make the mistakes. Don't correct them. Don't challenge them. Just let them run head first into whatever swamp they've dug. Let them set up the next unfortunate lynch.
Have you dug a swamp? Are you running head first into it?
