there was no purpose for the former or the latter. when someone comes in strong and then contradicts everything said, it is always a plot to weaken or cause conflict or shake trust in a person. macdougall here was initially trying to take civ jjj off course, and whether he continued or not, the posts are there. they have already garnered agreement from at least 2 other people. there is purpose behind every post, especially one that criticizes another player's playing style, and especially when macdougall is no newbie to jjj or his playstyle. it gets old ya know. the pocketing approach may have worked in ass-class, but it wouldn't work in any game i'm in.

This is a mild ping but also might just be a result of her role-playing rather than her normal posting style. Usually I would expect a lot of waffly stuff (not in a bad way) but this is short and doesn't mention anything about any of those players.

Partly wanted in on the "blah is mafia" meme, partly sus of the way he latched onto your mechanics post. It was getting suspicion from other(s?), but for very different reasons than "JJJ is hiding behind mechanics talk" which is the typical accusation around that sort of thing. DDL expressed suspicion of a thing that other people found suspicious but for reasons that don't ring true. That makes my hunting instincts want to eat his face off.

I mind meld with ColonialBob when he is a civilian usually. I am finding myself unable to see his perspectives at all in every post he's made so far.

The entire point of everything I do is to encourage other people to get more involved. You know that better than anyone. You participated in our DFS slaughter and acknowledged that the pace of Days 0 and 1 was the catalyst of that slaughter.

My initial reaction is suspicion of the people calling out JJJ for focusing on game mechanics and structure. JJJ is well established as our exposition character, so suspecting him for that feels like trying to ignore everything that came before, like Rian Johnson did with Last Jedi.

I've decided I don't care for this. The question seems rather pointless, as DDL clearly indicated that the parallel he was drawing regarding my mechanics post was to his own behavior as a bad guy. So whether I'm "hiding" or not, it's a definite accusation.
