They both came off as genuine and non-defensive.

In a vacuum I agree with this assertion. The last few years though have seen enough people cleared for their frustration that many mafia members have adapted and portrayed similar frustration to earn that credit. It's something that I think should be assessed case-by-case and with respect to the [perceived] personality of the player in question.

I don't personally take anything like that at face value. Some people tend to get more riled up than others in general, or it might depend on their day, etc. I've seen mafia scum successfully have meltdowns as a tactic. YMMV, and all that.

I got a more fake vibe from it than I have gotten from civ jay poo-flinging in other games though. Like it was more forced than usual and I feel like he usually tries to generate more varied/interesting content at the beginning of d1 than just "Z bad, Y bad, X good" for several posts.

This thread is where it is right now because of my stupid poo flinging. You could trace back much of the game-relevant content right now to the soul reads provided by either Mac or myself.

I'm reading between the lines here. I think you're saying that what Jay does is a good thing.

It should have had a comma. I was responding to Jay. Thus I was saying: “I can’t, Jay.”

But when I think about it, I can’t Jay either. He is soooo analytical and I’m a guy player. He jumps right in and I rarely form strong opinions quickly. I become more engaged as the game goes on. He is meticulous and I make mistakes and misinterpretations all the time. But honestly, I wouldn’t want to Jay. I’d rather Daisy. Because I like me. I’m pretty ok.

The problem with this is that baddies can get frustrated just as easily as civs. In Ancient Greece I think, Dunya came in super aggravated with how MP was behaving towards other players and it read so frustrated and sincere to me that I was convinced that she was civ. She wasn’t civ.

I might understand throwing out reads like you did on day 0 to get people talking. But you actually stuck with them into day 1. You say you suspect Indiglo and myself, then later on day 1, you still suspect us but "feel bad" lynching either of us. Day 1 is a time to build a case on those suspects if you were serious about them, or drop them if you weren't. Instead you're trying to look like you're staying "consistent," but you still just have no real reason for the suspicions.

I see rey's posts as a raw, honest stream of thought. His posts are short and no-nonsense, and appear genuine. He throws out crazy reads (that I don't agree with), but I don't think it means he's scum.

Ok thanks Luna. I do see what you mean about his posts seeming raw and honest - except for his reason for voting nutella. That didn't feel honest to me, it felt made up. Maybe he was just kidding around, which he does a lot when he plays, and I didn't get the joke.
