Games don't usually end immediately unless the host is using hammer voting. Besides, I'm fairly sire dunya is in bed by now.

thanks everyone for playing. civ's downfall was not talking to each other more, making it easy to hide. also lynching mongoose day 1. she was your inventor and could have distributed some helpful tools to town. nailing owner and indiglo the way you guys did was scary impressive, but after indiglo was lynched, the momentum just died.

Ugh, so sorry everyone and especially eloh. I really didn't expect to die for real so I should have made it more clear that I wasn't sure either way. The one reason I leaned that way was that I was controlled the night I tried to cop eloh and didn't get a result, but obviously that wasn't related to her role and I guess Daisy controlling me helped her win since it biased me. I would have checked Daisy when I died.

So like you guys really shouldn't have taken my last post as gospel and it's not totally my fault but I feel really bad still. Congrats Daisy.

Congrats Daisy and Owner and indigo! I can see why I died N1, but why wasn't it Jay instead of me since he named you guys first? I really was suspicious of that vote post for Mongoose that Daisy made and was disappointed no one followed up on my questions to Daisy about it that I asked N1. Was the mafia's win condition tied into Daisy surviving somehow? I can see why Daisy won but I'm a little confused about the mafia. Anyway, congrats to you three!

Nice! I had a feeling about Daisy. Our N1 kill was down to between juliets and Daisy. I'm so glad we didn't go with Daisy. I just felt like you were communicating to me in the thread that we were on the same side. Maybe I read too much into your posts, but either way it worked.

I knew that killing 3J and allowing myself to be lynched was a risk, but I thought there was a good chance it would be worth it in the end.

That was a fun reintroduction to mafia. Sorry to juliets for putting you out of the game, and for the Mongoose mislynch day 1.

Got some crazy good gut readers out there, but if I play again (if I can find the time) I will take the lessons learned here with me, that's for sure!

I almost never win as Indy roles, so frankly I'm pretty stoked by that.

I think it's funny everything that you all took as so suspicious. I just legitimately had no idea who anyone was and my reads were 100% just my reads, my votes weren't aiming for a civ I just had shitty reads. I wasn't trying to protect anyone or anything since I knew who no one was. Except I did find out nutella was the role cop after I controlled her. So I knew I had to kill her the next night or she would've checked me. I didn't know that I would inherit the kill after the mafia were eliminated until I was given it.

I wasn't faking or trying to hide behind being busy either, I just was.

Being a cop is difficult. It is difficult knowing the allignment of people and giving reasons to back up your "thoughts" when you just know it b/c you know it. But....it should be obvious that cops need to be careful on who they call bad and word it in the correct way so once they are dead and their role is revealed people don't take every word they said as gospel truth. Also, to those who are not the cop, don't take everything ba cop says as gospel truth. I have seen this hurt civs too many times. You guys should have listened to me when I brought up Nutella's post. She never claimed I was bad. Never. She speculated only. Yes, nutella, you could have been a bit clearer on your speculation and made it known that this wasn't a claim. But... I also think anyone who read that as a claim should have known better. I don't fully blame you.

When I was lynched in Community Mafia, I was less annoyed by getting lynched than I was that nobody other than the two people I suspected engaged with my posts at all. I was a foregone conclusion, much like Elohcin here, and one nobody even revisited.

This last day should have been a no lynch. The absence of conversation will kill any civilian team though, so it hardly matters. This is something that has been damaging in three straight games -- Shockheaded Peter, Community, and now Gossip Girl. The conversation has to keep moving continuously.

Thanks Juliet. I think I’m going to watch a few games before I play again. There is too much I don’t understand. The last game I played, roleclaiming wasn’t allowed, POE as a term was not used, and people posted way more. I’m sorry Elohcin, I’ll know more before I try to play again.
I was a vanilla civ of course, someone’s mother (played by the fabulous Margaret Colin). I wasn’t even aware there would be so many vanillas in the game, but I guess it was because of being a small game. I like the old days when nearly everyone had an ability.

Yep, I don't fault y'all for that confusion (nor do I fault dunya). A 12-player game is very friendly to the presence of an independent by the numbers. You'd just emerged from the 9 vs. 3 Community though, and that begs to bias the mindset. Spacedaisy was rightly dissociated from the mafia team. Unfortunately that says nothing about her as a candidate for being an independent. Shit sandwich.

One lesson I take away from this is the value of voting no lynch sometimes. I always consider it a non-starter but when it gets down to Mylo it's worth taking a look at. Maybe it would be best if we just focus on what we learned. I don't want dunya to think we are slamming her game, she did a good job.

It's an easy tool:

If you have three civilians and one mafia, 100% vote no lynch unless you know there are powers that can influence votes in play.

No-lynch forces mafia to reduce the pool for you. It prevents you from making a critical mistake. A 3 civilian -1 mafia lynch should almost never happen if a no-lynch is available.

No that was obvious. I knew she hadn't ID'd her. But the cop is still in a far better place to make the final call than distracted ass Mac. I just hoped she was correctuuuuu with her deductions. Part of me was like ... deja vu.
