Mafia Championship S6 on MU

It's that time of year again gang. They're still working out the kinks on the setup over at MU, but the time will be coming within the next month or so I figure. My suggestion:

If you want to see a certain user represent The Syndicate this year, tag him or her in this thread.

If anyone absolutely doesn't want to do it or is otherwise unable, let us know here.

We'll see how this goes and if necessary take a vote or find some decent solution to send someone off to the tournament. We're forged in flame here, folks. I have been all over the Internet for Mafia, and I can confidently tell you that were are good at it around here. We can hang with anyone.

Thanks, but imma pass. I’ve done it twice and I play semi frequently on MU. There was a small amount of complaining last year that MU regulars were favored by the jury. While I don’t think that anyone did anything unsporting, I will know basically all of the jury and I’d prefer to hang with them in spec chat instead of forcing them to try to objectively evaluate my play. I can also see the complaint that if in one year, I play on MU 8 times, on the Syndicate 8 times and on HCRealms once, I’m not really being sent from HCRealms or the Syndicate to play on MU since I’m just as much “from” MU. Arguably, that would be against the spirit of the tournament.

I do appreciate the thought but if I'm not playing games with my friends I definitely don't want to go play a coked up version of mafia with a bunch of strangers.

I was sent by RYM. Golden was the Syndicate's rep the year we played.

Time permitting, I'll be on the jury for Season 6 this summer, but either way will be cheering on our rep and leaving the evaluation of them to the rest of the jury (so as to be impartial).

As for nominations, I will support basically anyone who hasn't had a turn already first and foremost. I think we have an incredible community of mafia players here, and consequently tons of names come to mind for folks who I think would play really well.

I also heavily implore anyone even remotely considering this thing to just throw their hat into the ring. It really is an absolutely incredible experience; I am so grateful for being able to participate last season.

The time commitment is certainly a consideration (that's important) but it's not nearly as bad as any of you all might think; some of our games around here get pretty active all things considered.

I would love to see a woman go finally like [mention]nutella[/mention] or [mention]dunya[/mention] but I'm fine with any of the rest of the people nominated - all good players. [mention]MacDougall[/mention] would be a hoot. MU wouldn't know what hit them. I mean anyone who can out themselves as a baddie and go on to be standing at the end and winning deserves to go.

when would this be happening? I could maybe do it if it doesn't start until the second half of April (after my Japan vacation). Even then I'm sort of wary about keeping up with a game on another site with lots of unfamiliar players (and I'll probably overcommit myself and be playing something here at the same time lol and get stressed about catching up during work and stuff) but I could give it a shot.

It usually spans the entire summer, but your preliminary game would only last a week or two and they give people ample opportunity to sign up for a window that works for them.
