Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia [DAY 3]

I was rereading some stuff, and Juliets ISO of me had a quote that I found interesting,
I was trying here to get Mac to talk to me about Mongoose 'cause we were apparently both scum-reading here while going at it. I don't remember him responding to this unless I missed it,novaselinenever wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 6:40 am Talk to me about Mongoose. We both have her as red. Bussing, mac?
I digged into his ISO and I'm frankly not liking the development of his read on Mongoose,

That last post has me confused out of my mind with that "already confused".MacDougall wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 6:45 pmMongoose was already pretty well locktown but she just happily and easily contributed to town clearing Lunalee.Sloonei wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 6:41 pmWhy is mongoose lock town?MacDougall wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 6:38 pm Lunalee = Locktown

This excludes his return to the thread after N2 when Mongoose suddenly became confirmed scum and the safest lynch after being locked Town.

That original “sus” read came on Night 1. Then all of Day 2 happened and he apparently progressed to a town read, then a lock town read. I don’t find it unbelievable progression, but maybe [mention]MacDougall[/mention] can explain it for us anyway.

I’m fine with that again. He seemed to believe in the trustability of anyone who had a hand in confirming Luna yesterday. Mongoose briefly became “locktown” because of that, and you and I entered his tunnel vision because we, allegedly, resisted.novaselinenever wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 5:12 pm Lol looks like he dropped her when he started to tunnel me

If I was scum and Mongoose is a civ I do exactly what I did. If she is scum and Nova is a civ I most definitely push for Nova today and win today. I would have backed myself to have been able to convince everyone to lynch you, even Sloonei who at some stage was tinfoiling you. The only way what I've done is on scum meta is if the Goose is a civ.

Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia [NIGHT 3]
Mongoose's partner knew she was a goner today, or at least greatly anticipated it. There wasn't a speck of resistance to that lynch. The only slight concern I had today was that we were completely off about her and today's lynch was losing us the game, hence the quiet thread down the stretch. But as that was not the case, it seems the quiet on their part was motivated more by an impulse not to give us any more of a trail than we might already have.
Nothing about this is at all incompatible with a Llama/Mongoose pairing, as has been assumed for a while now. But for the sake of being thorough, it may be worth it to go over Mongoose's posts one more time, and maybe some interactions from Day 3. But there's another game that deserves my attention (and nova's. and Mac's) right now.

Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia [NIGHT 3]
I really don't know what to reread. Like I can not fathom Sloonei being bad, I don't want to even think about it lol.
I'm looking through Mac, and from the plan he formulated the majority of things looks good. I was iffy with his read progression on Mongoose but like he said scum!mac doesn't do that, and I think it was mostly associated with a pretty weak ping on Mongoose early and then jumping on me. That might have waned his suspicions there. I don't like how he was sold on it being me and Sloonei immediately after the D2 flip but he reads genuine in our interactions during that period and his reaction to being overwhelmed is a good point in his favor. I think those interactions are what lead to everything that followed, this lynch and us finding each other eventually. The way he reaches Llama/Mongoose is also genuine, and he seemed intent into solving the game prior to that and was working towards that. He listened to me and Sloonei. A baddie Mac doesn't need to reach that conclusion, and would have kept his sight onto me.

In many ways I think that not nailing scum earlier in this type of format (small games small teams) actually ends up making it easier to win because you can solve the entire team at the same time. It's a format that I intend to bus/distance like crazy in future.

Kind of agree, assuming we're right about llama. I can recall a couple past games that were approximately this size where we lynched one baddie Day 1 and then had next to nothing to go off the rest of the game and lost.MacDougall wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 10:04 pm In many ways I think that not nailing scum earlier in this type of format (small games small teams) actually ends up making it easier to win because you can solve the entire team at the same time. Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia [NIGHT 3]
Guys, I am off to work soon again and today is going to be just like yesterday. I probably won't get home until after night ends and I am dead. I quit nova's ISO on mid to late page 5 of his ISO if someone wants to pick it up. There are only 4 more pages to go. I am really convinced though it's llama. He is a tricky player and I think he pulled the wool over our eyes early in his game that stayed with us for awhile, so if I were alive tomorrow I would vote for him, but I'll be deaded over the course of this night. It's been (mostly) fun playing with you all.

I intend to look into this during the day phase. But right now I simply read nova and mac too strongly as civilians. Even if I had no evidence suggesting that you are bad, my POE would be whittled down to you. That I was able to paint a picture of you and mongoose as a scum pairing with no trouble at all is just an extra layer of icing on the cake.thellama73 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 3:12 pm Sloonei, I urge you to consider the possibility that Nova is Mongoose's teammate. I don’t say this to discourage you if you are indeed town, I’m just saying that’s where we’re at right now. This game makes the mosr sense to me if you are bad. I encourage you to convince me otherwise.
