It wouldn't be effective if it was obvious. By stating that she was going to disagree she is affirming that she went into the conversation with a predisposition to nutella = civ. She didn't want to butt heads with you directly so she gave you some indication that she understood your point before explaining that to her being wishy washy isn't actually a bad thing. Then she pivoted into a completely different point so as to not draw attention to the prior point which indicates she was afraid of making it. It's weird and I don't like it.

Poutanko’s skepticism toward me in our exchange last night was bordering on hostility and I felt good about that. I suppose it means less in a game with two scum teams, but it felt like she thought I was full of poop and didn’t want to let me sweet talk her into anything else. I don’t remember her being like that in Hogwarts.

I will note that I went into the analysis looking for evidence of players arguing against cases on other players. In a two scum game the mafia numbers are small so they are going to be far less likely to distance/bus. It's also harder to find Mafia through how they build cases as even the Mafia can scum hunt. It's easier to find them by finding evidence of them trying to knock other players off the scent of cases on their teammates.

Nutella looked okay in isolation though, but she is good so she would. I could see Sabie and Nutella being teammates.
