I see an 11 by BWT's name and a 73 by Llama's, as well as a 666. Unless my computer's being weird. Does anyone see numbers on the poll?
Hopefully the craziness is over and the poll is just the poll at this point.

"You!" the voice pointed at BigDamnHero.
BigDamnHero stood, defiant. "Yes, YOU!" exclaimed the voice. "Champions don't defy the voice!!! Are you willing to accept the price???"
BigDamnHero was. "You bet! Fuck you!!"
The voice was furious. "NO ONE DEFIES ME... ESPECIALLY NOT A CHAMPION!!" The voice struck BigDamnHero with lightning, reducing him to ashes.

Epi - I've thought about that too, but what if she isn't Jack and someone is framing her? They want us to think she is Jack. That's the only thing that's stayed my hand in voting for her thus far.

According to the role description Moriarty has a 50% chance of being inaccurate. So there's a 50% chance Lizzy is absolutely any other role.Mongoose wrote:Epi - I've thought about that too, but what if she isn't Jack and someone is framing her? They want us to think she is Jack. I don't understand how someone could be framing her. Isn't the info 50% chance of being true, 50% chance of being false? It seems like that just comes with the role. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding you Mongoose.
This is interesting Epi and worth thinking about. It may be my best option for a vote. I have thought about some others but the reasons are not as strong as I would like. I will think about it.

Also if they were, surely Epi's role reveal would've been someone we'd want to lynch as well? Or why frame Lizzy over Epig?juliets wrote:I don't understand how someone could be framing her. Re: [DAY 3] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Jim Moriarty - [Sherlock] – A criminal mastermind, he seeks revenge on those he sees as meddlers. Every even night, he attempts to uncover a player’s role, thereafter publicly revealing his result, but his result has a 50% chance of being inaccurate. As his team’s killer, he eradicates a player of his choice every odd night. If he dies, his kill passes to the next in line above him.
He attempts to uncover "a player's" role
He eradicates "a player" of his choice.
What is strange to me is that the Manipulators seem to have used both of Ji'm's powers twice on two separate occasions (The two NK's with one having failed, then the two reveals). How could they have done that?
And does the two reveals coupled with the 50% of being true/false mean that one of the reveals is true and the other is false?

I understand this is an "Anti-Monty Hall Paradox," as it were, but it's still something that offers at least a measure of insight.
If the statement is false, then we know she's not a particular civilian role (thereby decreasing Lizzy's chances of being good). And Grady doesn't find Jack.
If the statement is correct, then she is about to become a very powerful serial killer.

Lizzy and I actually discussed that 3-4 pages back, if you guys wanna look at what he said.
Whoa, BDH! So wait, no role reveal? We got one with AP....Please, Socky?
But really, do my eyes deceive me? Is the poll back to normal? That makes things much easier but also much tougher, because now I have to decide who to vote for instead of just picking a number. :P
Linki: DH, probability theory would say no, both could be true or false. You have a 50% chance that exactly one is true.
And Epi, are you saying we should lynch her regardless of whether the info is true or not? I agree that if it is true she's very dangerous. Do you mean to say you don't have any suspicions that you feel more confident about than the odds of randoming minus one possible civ role? If that sentence doesn't make sense, I'll try to clarify. Hopefully you get my meaning.

This is a good point, Dom. It's possible he's not this game. He was in MOTU, though, so I was assuming (yeah, yeah, I know). I don't think ignoring him and him being an SK is a risk we can afford to take because he's so powerful.Dom wrote:Where do you see Zodac is a SK?Russtifinko wrote:MY COMPUTER IS SUCH A NUB!
I did not get a PM. I wish I did.
I think we should get ALL baddies, and BOB and Zodac are baddies in my book. That does not apply to all indies, and the Media thing was a fiasco and a waste of time, as I said before. But I don't get people saying they're not worried about an SK and someone who recruits, kills, and wins when he outnumbers everyone else, much less defends these roles as civ-friendly.

Do I have to come out and say it? The poll is the poll -- and always was the same poll.
We all write-in MP to lynch, overthrow his game, and then begin a battle-royale style lynch phase where winner takes over hosting duties for the remainder of the game.

Right now I'm in between bea (for what I mentioned before) and Lizzy for what Epig mentioned about her. But I don't feel terribly strongly about either one, and could be persuaded to look elsewhere.
I'm also going to take the leap of faith and assume that each name on the poll corresponds to that person. Although I get the feeling we're going to be proven wrong about that one.

All I am saying is this: There is information on deck that may be true, and if true, will produce dire consequences if not handled. It's a risk-reward thing:
If the information is false and Lizzy gets lynched, then one person has suffered, and that someone may yet be an undesirable.
If the information is true and Lizzy doesn't get lynched, then "Heeeeeeee're Johnny!"

I'm voting Epig because he has no votes, and he's been very active - I don't think we ought to lynch him,
I just want him covered (and not to miss the vote).

I know it's only 50%, but if it is true and we have another serial killer on our hands, we will be killed off that much quicker and have less time to figure out who the baddies are and lynch them. That doesn't sit right with me.

This is a reasonable point. Other than the confusing sexy mofo vote for the shield poll, I've been leaning civ on Lizzy lately, which would correspond to the Jack role. And adding another serial killer to the mix is not something anyone wants. So, hoping she's taking one for the team, I'll go ahead and *Vote Lizzy*.Epignosis wrote:I got you Russ. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

Grr lost post. I am hesitant to vote Lizzy, but she does seem to be the best lead to potential baddie if that role is correct. I would rather wait till after a kill for confirmation, rather than possible lynching an innocent now, but there you have it.
