I think that the best thing to help get this game closer to balance that wouldn't take away too much from its mass-slaughter theme would be a soup kill.

Outlawing claims outright would probably work too. It just may not promote the same chaos.

I should’ve removed the blacksmiths before the roleblocks because there was so many vests out at once and not enough mafia to counter them

Other than that yeah this was a flop due to a variety of circumstances, sorry gang

It wasn't a flop my man. Folks joined this game to shoot guns, and guns were shot. We had a good time. I hope the mafia did too even if I'd understand their frustration. I don't think it was all the setup's fault anyhow, at least in the role distributions. I think the rules needed some tweaks, but whatever.

I was legitimately disappointed about my fake gun. I figured it was probably fake and part of me really hoped it would kill me. Blowing my own head off in a moment of impatience would have been anti-JJJ and thus quite memorable.

Don't feel bad, I still very much enjoyed it. There was a point where it felt like sloo and I still had a decent chance of pulling through, but only if it wasn't for quite all the claiming/confirming. Even then I was puzzling out how I could slip through with a fakeclaim, but nova would have eventually called that out. I never explicitly claimed gunsmith but if I had nova would have surely said something the moment there were 4 other confirmed ones (DF and LC sort of accidentally confirmed they were smiths rather than santas) and by the time of Mac's claim I couldn't pretend I was a santa either.

Btw, [mention]novaselinenever[/mention] totally deserves MVP if that's still even a thing we do. Dude you were constantly several steps ahead of everyone else in figuring out the entire game. Not only did you have me pegged from the beginning but you figured out a lot of other things about how the kills etc went down (like the jack vest thing) and you were really the only one to seriously consider Sloonei after he shot speed. You're the mafia's worst nightmare. Kudos

Same. I tried to make the most out of being pinned in a corner the last day.

I think restricting the roleclaims would have helped a lot to balance the game. But the 25-person setup opened things up a little so that mass roleclaiming would not have been such an accessible strategy. It's not sprit's fault we didn't hit that total.
