Catching up in this game is really hard. Trying to suss out genuine sounding town reads is also really hard, when you’re not familiar with a lot of players.

The case on Lux has me baffled. Her comments, that may have been slips or may have been mistakes, I understand. Her defense did not consist of trying to make cases or point fingers at others, which seems more like an early game civ behavior to me. If anyone thinks I’m looking at this wrong, by all means, correct me.

I’m going back to iso some others then I’ll post again.

This defense of Lux reads awkward and forced to me. I grilled her over it because “she just defended herself and didn’t point fingers at anyone” strikes me as a strange, somewhat counterintuitive read. It also stands out by virtue of its existence. Matahari defended Luxurious individually. I could see basis for a teammate pairing here.

You see things in a very strange way, it seems to me. That was not a defense of Lux. That was a “if you’re town, this might be your last chance to try and prove it” kind of post, meaning I don’t want to vote for a civ.
There is only one player I have solidly as town. That is Sabie. Juliets is close. Everyone else is neutral to pingy.

That said, I was wary of Dragomir earlier in the game, but I reversed my opinion of him somewhat. He is also just neutral now.
More than likely, my vote will go on Lux, because I think she could have tried harder to defend and do something town related than she did.
But you do things your way and I’ll do things my way.

I wasn’t town reading her, but I was pointing out that her weak defense could have been that of a civ who doesn’t know who else could be bad, so she wasn’t trying to build a case against anyone else. Defending yourself is only part of trying to save yourself. It also helps to point out your suspicions of other players and why they should be looked at, as well. Because it might save you.
So, to my way of thinking, why didn’t she suspect others? Why wasn’t she trying to bring up anyone else that she thought was bad. The only answer I have for that is the ones I listed before. Possibly town and had no real suspicion on anyone. Or possibly bad, and trying not to slip again. I posted about it, hoped for some agrees or disagrees.

I would instead say that lynching a player in my position on Day 1 is a shortsighted play. I’m clearly engaged. The development of my play will tell you more about me than a Day 1 with no info proliferation. You’re taking a shot in the dark and risking losing a civilian This Guy.

She's got like the 3rd highest post count, makes substantive enough posts. Not the same presence as Sloon but if town nutella can probably be expected to be "self resolved" too unless she's just painfully wrong.

I mean post count isn't even the important thing here, your defense of Sloon rests on the assumption that he's contributing more and threatening more scum.
