I will vote for Gleam, BDH, or Faraday. Votes are more important than lots of posts.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

No, and why Faraday, and not, say, Gleam? With a similar voting record and even less posts?
Although i would consider Vomps, too. Have all of his votes been fairly random?

Pleased to see I'm still here. The State of the Union speech is keeping me too busy to say much tonight. I will make an effort to respond to some of the (false!) allegations against me in the morning.

In my defense, I openly admit to missing the vote on Day 1. I was out with the flu & by the time I realized I had to vote, I had missed the poll closing by 15 minutes. My bad...mea culpa...
D2, however, is an altogether different matter. I can't say much, but I will say that my actions that day (or more importantly INactions) were officially sanctioned. Unfortunately, the only person who could possibly back this up...actually can't. Cryptic, I know, but those are the facts of the matter.

I'll buy that. I didn't mean you, by the way. I missed that you had skipped 2 votes. I really think I'll be leaning DF or Gleam tomorrow, as much as I'd rather not.BigDamnHero wrote:In my defense, I openly admit to missing the vote on Day 1. I've already stated my belief that Bea is a civ & I know I am (duh!!! )S~V~S wrote:If they are civs, they should vote and join in discussion when they can. what are you basing your vibes on if not discussion and voting records?BigDamnHero wrote:I'm seeing a SCARY number of players I have had civ vibes about on this poll. Flyin'High was widely regarded as being a civ, and I read Spacedaisey as civ as well.
Didn't DFaraday been hosting a game somewhere else? So that would explain his absence, not that it is and indicator of allignment, but I believe him to be civ also.
So basically my choices come down to Aces, Gleam, Elhocin & Vompatti. Of these, I'm gonna go with Gleam for the same reason I voted for him in the day poll.
Linki @ mongoose: if I had to choose between JUST those 2 players, I would strongly suggest Gleam over DF.
linki@ SVS....uhhmmmm....yes?

I was dead most of this game, I did not see you stating your beliefs, which is why i asked you what you based your vibes on if not discussion and voting records.
So you base your vibes on other people widely regarding people as being civ? FWIW, I have seen nothing bad in Daisy either, and not enough of Bea to say.

When I actgually HAVE a strong belief, you'll know it...just ask MP about our tussles in Homestar. As of yet, I have nothing strong to go on as I'm still getting a handle on WTF is going on at any given moment due to secret roles, Zodak switches, power redirects, etc.S~V~S wrote:I was dead most of this game, I did not see you stating your beliefs, which is why i asked you what you based your vibes on if not discussion and voting records.

I base my vibes on certain people I've heavily weighted more as civ and when/if they give their opinion of someone's alliegence I take heed of that. Since a few of those peeps have given the civ nod towards FH, I'm inclined to do the same for the time being until I see something that would make me question it.
Re: [NIGHT 5] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
I'm leaning towards Gleam atm. I considered Vomps for his random DH vote early in the game, but as that is his normal style I don't want to put too much weight on it.
Speaking of, I feel like this poll is biased against those of us who happen to have an elusive playing style.

Also, if you read back and consider all the facts that have been presented, you will find that I'm probably a civvie.

If I was basing this on who isn't playing like a champion my initial reaction would be to vote agleminranks for being the lowest poster and missing votes. But seeing as we took that road with DP and he ended up flipping civvie, I don't want to vote hastily again.
Gonna read back through those people and also keep in mind who were Kate voters (I see it was pointed out Vompatti is on that list).

Re: [NIGHT 5] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Host Announcement:
Now I know I strictly forbade the concept of 'replacements' in this game, but I was in discussion regarding this game with Bullzeye multiple times before he signed up to play and he did mention his schedule ramping up around this time. He thought he could handle it and really would love to continue but just can't feel he can give it proper attention, and he doesn't want to be modkilled (nor do I want to modkill someone in this predicament, not at all).
Also, timmer really wanted to play this game but unfortunately couldn't because he was going on vacation right when the game was starting, but now that he is back and available, it seems they both have the perfect complimenting schedules.
So, all of that said:
timmer is replacing Bullzeye, effective immediately.
Thank you so much for playing, Bullz, and you will be missed! And a fantastic Champions welcome to timmer!!

Re: [DAY 5] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
I wanted to respond to this earlier, but have not had a chance until now.DharmaHelper wrote:Calls lizzy out for giving INH control of her vote, says he plans to vote for anyone who lets someone else "lead them around by the nose"
- Brings up INH and Lizzy again
- Bullz suggests what I was suggesting all day, (not talking about Media) llama immediately agrees
- Again brings up Lizzy as suspect
- Not paying attention, votes INH
- Brings Epig and BDH up briefly
Llama seems to have blinders on in regards to his suspicion of me, which I find is a very baddie tactic nine times out of ten. In addition, I noted in my read back that while he often brings up other suspects (such as lizzy, epig, bdh) He rarely backs these suspicions up with anything at all, nor does he pursue them or act on them with the obvious exception of myself and an all-but-outed INH. Reads to me like he's padding his list so to speak. In addition to not adding much of any of his own original thoughts, I noticed llama latching onto/agreeing with a number of people:
Spacedaisy RE: Indies
Bullz RE: Not talking about INH
SVS RE: Zodac
BWT RE: Epig/Zodac/INH
This sort of buddying-up is indicative of a baddie as well, IMO.
And when I asked him for his case against me which he claimed was based on me stiffling discussion, his response was a weak slapdash of propped up nonsense. I respond to that Here but I will do so again for the sake of this case:
1. His first point against me was a joke I made Day 0 about being equally capable of winning regardless of affiliation. Has nothing to do with his original "discussion stiffling" case, and apart from that, makes zero sense as something to use in any case ever.
2. Claimed I "jumped on" and "pushed" Nev despite the fact that I answered Dom's inquiry about that post and did nothing to act on it since then. Also has nothing to do with any discussion stiffling.
3. Three points in and we get to his squashing discussion argument. I've defended against this a few times but the long and short is: INH was clearly media and discussing him and his antics only gave him power so of course I wanted to talk about something, anything, else. Of course when I point this out, I'm steering and demanding, but when Bullz does, it's cool in Llamaville.
4. In a game of champions you either behave like a champion or you do not, by definition, belong in the game of champions. Inactive players are an unfair burden to the rest of the game. They do not help find baddies, they do not use their powers at night to keep the town afloat, they don't decode things, and more importantly, they offer no threat to the mafia therefore the mafia can not night kill them and focus on more active players. Frankly, being inactive in a game of champions is disgusting to me. So yes, I am 100% behind the idea of voting for inactive people. I think it would be an insult to the game and everyone involved if someone floated all the way to the end without contributing jack shit. It's gross.
5. He suspects me for codebreaking, which I must admit is probably the weakest suspicion I have heard not just in this game but in a couple of games. It isn't terribly difficult to decode that stuff, particularly once Sherlock was generous enough to give me letters to work with. Context clues, common mafia words, Role names, sentence structure and tense, I used all that to get the coding right (or 80% right).
I also pointed out a number of posts llama made that I think illustrate some level of hypocrisy. For example, His use of my agreeing with Epignosis's suggestion during the Avant Poll when he himself considered the idea. His stance on "non-participants" then his citing my stance and pursuit of non-participants, etc.
He takes issue with the fact that I've been focused on Non-participants and haven't done much to make a case on anyone else, when he's done the same with me. Not paying attention/participating, not considering other suspects seriously, only voting for me (with the exception of INH). His case and his pursuit of me are flimsy, and for that and all the above reasons I will vote llama
1. Re: single-mindedness and not contributing
I admit that I have not been my usual helpful self this game. It has been an uncommonly busy time for me and I have been working long hours. I know it's a weak excuse, but in this case it happens to be true. If I have been single-minded in my pursuit of DH, it is because I actually do think he is bad, and I see no reason to relinquish that belief simply because holding it may make me look bad. I didn't like Lizzy's vote on Day 1, but she is notoriously hard to read and often does such wacky things as a civ. I went for INH or DH, because I felt I had a better case against them than against her. Also, my agreeing with other people is not "buddying up." When someone says something I think is smart or wise, I say so.
2. DH draws a lot of false equivalences in his analysis.
He claims I agreed with Bullz for doing the same "discussion stifling" that he did, but that was on a different day, under different circumstances with different knowledge. Also, Bullz brought it up once instead of the relentless drumbeat come from DH. They are not the same thing.
Similarly, he claims that I was entertaining Rob's suggesting of voting for the lowest poster during the Great Poll Switch, while attacking him for doing the same. This is not true. I was responding with amusement at what I saw as a funny, non-serious idea that would cause a frantic posting scramble, and I never seriously considered it. DH's support for the idea was (in my opinion, it's possible I was misreading his tone) a serious endorsement of such a plan in the context of many posts advocating the lynching of low-posters for "not playing like champions." Again, not the same thing.
3. Finally, my case against DH.
I fully acknowledge that not every point in my posted case is airtight. I was repeatedly asked to assemble evidence for my suspicion, so I did so. I was most likely wrong about the codebreaking thing, but it was something that occurred to me as I was doing my reread. When I have had BTSC, it is always faster to break codes because of the help I get from my teammates, and I considered it a possibility. In a game like this where I have limited time for extended analysis, I tend to rely on my gut to cast votes I believe in rather than being a discussion leader and trying to sway people's opinions with carefully constructed cases. I have to adapt my gameplay depending on what is going on in real life, and that, I think, is what you are seeing this game.
I voted for BDH in this poll, because I have been reading him as shifty, but I do not intend to go back and quote mine to justify the vote to the rest of you. I just don't trust him.
Thank you for your attention.

The game itself is biased, and rightly so in my mind, toward people who put themselves out there with opinions and thoughts about other players and don't miss votes.DFaraday wrote:I'm leaning towards Gleam atm. I considered Vomps for his random DH vote early in the game, but as that is his normal style I don't want to put too much weight on it.
Speaking of, I feel like this poll is biased against those of us who happen to have an elusive playing style.
I'm not sure what you mean. Does he not want to be in the game anymore? If so, how do you know that? As for the "probably civvie", you'll have to quote the facts your talking about because I can't re-read the whole game looking for "facts that have been presented".Vompatti wrote:Voted for gleam because I don't think he'd mind being lynched if you know what I mean.
Also, if you read back and consider all the facts that have been presented, you will find that I'm probably a civvie.
I don't necessarily want to follow the same logic I used when I voted DP (which would have me vote Gleam) unless I have checked out everyone else. No one jumps out at me as bad right away but I want to re-read several people before i vote.

Dang, I did not see llama's post.
Llama, something that would go a long way for me with regards to you is explaining your belief DH is bad with regards to trying to suppress discussion on inh. How does that make DH a baddie? He wasn't on inh's "team" because inh didnt have a team. So what would a baddie have to gain by suppressing discussion about him?
I have my doubts about voting you this round because of your post toward the end of last lynch but you are so logical and the above to me doesn't hit that logical pattern. I hope you have time to answer this but you may already be gone.

Did Lizzy give any reasons for her Aces vote? If so, I missed it.
But, regardless, that's where my vote is going. I'm trying to go for someone I think is actually bad and Aces seems to be the most suspicious person up there to me who actually has a vote already. (This is the only reason I'm not voting for SD instead).
Why Aces? He gives me the "uh-oh" feeling more than anyone else up there (other than SD, obviously). Plus, he was the very last person to vote for Kate in the rez poll.

I don't really want to vote on poor involvement unless there's nothing else to base the vote on.S~V~S wrote:No, and why Faraday, and not, say, Gleam? With a similar voting record and even less posts?
Although i would consider Vomps, too. Have all of his votes been fairly random?
I've been getting feels from DF and not from gleam, but they are just feelings - that's why I asked if there were any good
reasons to suspect any of these people.
Votes to rez Kate: Mongoose (3), bea (8), Epignosis (15), thellama73 (17), Spacedaisy (20), Devin the Omniscient (31), birdwithteeth11 (34), juliets (43), Vompatti (46), Bullzeye (49), AceofSpaces (57)
From that list I found most relevant: Epig, Llama, SD, Devin, and Vomps.
Available for modlynching: SD, Vomps, Aces, Bea.
I'd prefer to vote for one of those, unless somebody comes up with a solid case elsewhere.
I lean toward Vompatti because he is the most difficult to read, but even a really weak additional reason to select SD, Aces, or Bea instead would be sufficient for me.
linki lots (I left the post open when I started working, and came back just now):
llama: I don't see anything wrong with your characterization of DH - didn't and don't agree with it, but it didn't seem like that strange of a case to make. I also think that your continuing to harp on that increasingly irrelevant case could have been a symptom of lack of time rather than some side-effect of badness.
My vote for you was based on two main factors: the quote mongoose pointed out, and *just* how little time you had. I can believe you wouldn't have time to do serious investigation or 'quote mining', but I cannot believe that you didn't have time to pop in and reassess the situation - at the very least, you could have been spreading your vote around to block TeamBob. My read there was that you are busy, and playing that business up because you're also someone who wants to avoid attention. That's how I would play as a baddie with a corroborated excuse. I'm now increasingly convinced you are Cohen, which is unfortunate, but still fits my assessment.

I think the thread running through all of DH's game so far has been arrogance. To me, he reads like an overconfident member of a team he knows to be strong. All of the points I made about him play into that narrative. While he may not have had anything to gain from protecting INH, there is always something to gain by a baddie team being able to control the conversation. I think he is playing a bold, aggressive baddie game because he thinks he can get away with it.

Aces, bea, and Daisy are the 3 people on this poll who voted for Kate. I would be willing to vote for any of those 3 for sure, and could probably vote Vomps too if someone brought a good enough case against him.

This is a fair assessment, and I appreciate that. In this case, you just happen to be wrong.Nevinera wrote: llama: I don't see anything wrong with your characterization of DH - didn't and don't agree with it, but it didn't seem like that strange of a case to make. I am seeing all these "I'm voting for Gleam" posts but there is very little substance in them as to reasons why.
I am voting for BDH b/c of his statement there. It sounds like a bunch of poppycock.BigDamnHero wrote:
