MafiaMenace did nothing substantial in his time here, and the most impressive thing funnygurl has done is read ~60 pages after subbing in, which doesn't really tell me anything about her alignment.

Can you give us a more detailed version of the thoughts you’ve already expressed? I’m still not sure why I should assume that Dyslexicon is unlynchable, and I’m also not sure I buy Jack as the most likely partner. Why did you pick him over funnygurl, colin, epi, wilgy, etc.?

When the funnygal arrives, Creature says this:

If these two are partners, Creature went for a soft distancing tactic. He gives MafiaMenace very half-hearted jabs for most of the game which go nowhere. To be fair, I suggested the same thing as a general accusation against Creature earlier in the game, but the interactions with MafiaMenace stood out to be me the strongest in my initial ISO several days ago.

I was particularly struck by the early progression: Creature prods MafiaMenace in two completely innocuous posts and then quietly plants a suspicion on him. He later expresses some suspicion against an unnamed player who would turn out to be MafiaMenace, but he'd previously expressed a suspicion against him for seemingly different reasons, and when this issue was called to his attention he never touched it again.

At the very least, these interactions confirm that Creature's reads were not genuine. His progression on MafiaMenace seems extremely cherrypicked and unnatural. Whether or not that's an indication of a partnership between them, I can't really say. If Creature was Ra's, I have to wonder if he'd want to push his teammate so far away from the beginning.

I'll take a look at the other side of these interactions next.

General effort and tone. When I look at his posts, I feel like I see a person who is trying to catch bad guys.

I also see his Creature interactions in a different light than DDL does. Jack is the only player Creature knew coming into this game. Their interactions are casual and friendly, and to me look more like Creature was trying to get on Jack's good side in the thread.

Nothin'. If I go into a tunnel, I can be unnerved by the lack of aggression from MafiaMenace here. Creature has poked him twice for absolutely nothing and MafiaMenace has hardly reacted. But I don't know if that's actually a problem.

Creature doesn't come up again until this salad-esque list of reads:

I should have asked why these six players were highlighted for reads, especially when two of them are nothing more than "neutral". Creature gets a "neutral -1", which I assume means "slight scum read". Interesting. Creature had expressed his suspicion against MafiaMenace a couple of times by now, but he's not responded in any way, yet he proclaims a slight suspicion here. When Creature asked him to explain just the juliets read, MafiaMenace responded simply with "innocent actions". I see no evidence of a "neutral -1" read here. There were several opportunities for these two to engage more seriously than they did, but the interactions that exist are painfully minimal.

Then funnygurl showed up. She responded to his initial lazy jab with a pretty uninspiring reply:

funnygurl has mentioned Dyslexicon twice today, and on each occasion she has provided a different (contrasting) excuse not to vote for the player slot. She had initially conceded that Dyslexicon "doesn't look townie" but claimed to have a policy against lynching replacements on their first day. Later, there is simply "not enough to vote" for that wagon. I was on the fence until these two posts. I now feel like I can genuinely see a connection.

It's also worth noting that Dyslexicon's vote is currently on funnygurl. Given the way this day has gone, Dizzy seems pretty set to be lynched and isn't doing much to resist that. A vote on hypothetical-teammate-funnygurl means zilch.

If funnygurl is scum the best way to earn town cred would be to put in a ton of work to get caught up. “Putting in work” is not alignment indicative, as both town and scum need to give effort if they want to win. She was very vocal about her efforts as well, which the cynical side of me wants to argue was done in order to draw attention to her valiant effort. I don’t feel like the reads she has produced are nearly as impressive as the work she put in to get to them.
