I don't want you to think I meant anything like "on thin ice"... I just made up an expression that was similar. I mean, there's very little to judge people by, and the votes here that are maybe supposed to get some reactions or get things going just don't have any oomph to them. No respondable accusations behind them. What are they for?

I have to disagree with this. Then I have to question if this is genuine or not. From where I stand, we're doing pretty well. We have stuff to work off of. I feel I have a little townie nucleus to work with, and those are all factors in our favor.

We have a 48 hour day, I'm waiting for more people to check in, see reactions, etc. I plan to do some chatting with Dys again this Day Phase, as I feel we made a good team yesterday. With additional input from additional green feels, I'm hopeful we'll accomplish something again this time.

When I was coming up in mafia (eons ago, LOL) info-dumping and role outing was a mod-kill offense. So this realm of role claiming and info-dumping is foreign soil to me. I know there are definitely pros and cons, and am interested in discussing whether we think it would be helpful, and at what point in the game it might be most helpful.

I don't think a massclaim is the best idea at this point.

I don't hate the idea of a mass claim actually. But I'm not much of a power role preserver.
Pros are that it can be revealing and some towns can be cleared.
The biggest con is that we don't know mafia's actual powers, and they can better foresee and mess with town's actions.

Imo a mass claim should always be done in a specific order, where the most suspicious (consensus) or lurky players go first, and the most consensus town go last.

Based on my role, I'd say a mass-claim wouldn't be very helpful. Based on this being a bastard game, even more unhelpful.

But it prooobably wouldn't hurt anything either. Just might make things a little less fun.

Pros (to be defined as only positive)
Some people might feel like they are confirmed once they have claimed (so that would be a pro for them)

Cons (to be defined as only negative)
This is a bastard game. What we think is true may or may not be true.
Mechanically won or lost games don't sit right with me (I don't know if others feel this way or not, but for me it kind breaks game integrity imo)

Nulls (to be defined as helpful everyone - not just one alignment)
Massclaiming, if we mass claim, town might have a better sense on who to lynch and mafia will have a better sense on who to target. town might also have a better sense on who to target.

Yes, less fun is also a thing. It generally depends on what alignment you are, but across the board, it is definitely a fun killer to be told everything versus the mystery being steadily revealed to us.
