@speedchuck you have played a lot with Owner? If yes, have you seen anything hinky out of her so far?
Owner is usually a big question mark for me, and she still is. Her hunting style is weird. She suspects people for the gifs they use, their avatar changes, and the jokes they make.
It always comes off as nonsense to people that haven't played with her, and often develops into a scumread.
That said, I don't know the difference between town and scum Owner, so I'm not defending her with this either. Just giving context.
Gotcha. I appreciate the context.

Really, this is all just a glamorous game- nothing more.
MacDougall did you win the champs game? Looking forward to hearing your input.
Ok, so might be seeing Owner's town game. Interesting. Which means it might be time to look elsewhere.
If I get real paranoid and tin foil, I ask myself how totally out of the loop and not caught up Kyle got lucky by voting Soneji, helping secure the mafia lynch Day 1.
Worth considering that the Daisy/Sloon wagon may have been a mafia lynch too. So Kyle was maybe safe either way, maybe he's mafia and knew that, or maybe he's town and had no idea and genuinely guessed right.

Thanks for asking. No I was a civilian and the wolves didn't get lynched once. So I am obviously crap.

Don't have one. I haven't read anything since my last post in this and don't intend to do so until tomorrow.
You read Mac's question to you.
Bazinga!

I see no reason not to vote Sloon at this point. Except this, and let me tin foil.
How likely do I think it is that on Day 1, two of the main wagons were on Mafia? (That being Soneji and Sloon - the artist formerly known as Daisy.) Are statistics a good defense? Not necessarily, it's just that it's giving me pause.
Then I think about that in regards to Kyle. How likely do I think it is that 2 of the main wagons AND 1 of the other suspects several folks were talking about (Kyle) are all mafia together?
Then I wonder if there is some bastard element to this game, and I return to drinking my disgusting hard root beer. I purchased it, dammit, and it has alcohol in it.
So I'll go ahead and put another vote on Sloonei, and then sleep on it and see how it feels in the morning.
[VOTE:
Sloonei] aubergine

And what does that mean?
You said you hadn't read anything since your last post. I, quite wittily, pointed out that you read Mac's question to you.
Then, in a jovial tone, I said "bazinga", because Big Bang Theory is on TV and I'm drinking.
Then I added a smilie, to indicate such.

Sloonei is a replacement. He should be policy lynched. Replacements are scum more often than they aren't and he hasn't done any town Sloon things anyway. No better lynch here imo.

I hate to say such a thing, but that thought crossed my mind as well. I feel like hosts generally replace mafias before they replace towns. I mean, we've got BWT and Neverwhere as pretty much total no-shows too... and yet only Daisy got replaced. Imagine you're a host, and you have 3 no-shows and 1 replacement. Town can absorb no-shows better than a mafia team... so you go with mafia no-show first. (At least that's what I think if I put on my Host Hat.)
Also leads me to be less likely to look at BWT and Neverwhere, at least for now.
(Also found nothing helpful on my Long Con ISO.)

I also think 'town can absorb no shows easier than mafia is generally not true, although it's certainly closer if Nadia have to submit their actions individually as in this game.
I've seen the whole 'mafia get replaced first' thing on other sites, but not that often here.
Mafia DO request replacement more often than town, though, for whatever reason. Weirdos.
Given that, I think it's more important to look at the reason for replacement. Epi popped in practically before the game started. This is probably an indicator that whoever it was that signed up just didn't show up, or bowed out quickly for RL reasons. (My opinion.) That's null.
Sloonei replaced Daisy, who is busy, sure, but around more. That's more suspicious.
I think that falls under the angle-shooting category. Cheap damn way to catch a baddie, I think we should make it one of our understood 'house rules' on Syndicate that we don't bring it up. Believe it in your own mind, no one can stop that, but don't bring it up in the thread.
Speedchuck, are you the kind of guy who busses a teammate, or tries to save?

Depends on the situation. I would bus a teammate if they looked doomed. I won't defend a teammate unless there is something really good to defend, or unless there's a good target other than them that I can believably push.
Basically I'll try to save a drowning teammate if there's almost no way it comes back to bite me, I'll bus them if not.

Only one substantial wagon exists today and it’s on a player slot that hasn’t made any on-topic posts. Y’all are being just as lazy as me.
Laziness is a distinct possibility. Who is a better option in your mind?
Also, just a heads up, I won't be able to be here at EoD, so any work for me to be a part of will have to happen before then.

That conforms to your Soneji stuff on Day 1. What better evidence is out there to lynch someone?

On PerC we have a rule that we don't discuss replacement. You could do that here. *shrug*

Soneji voted Kyle to a three way tie between him, Daisy and Bob.
The votes were very close and it was close to EoD.
The reason Soneji gave for the vote was silly.
Why did Soneji feel like he had to vote? Does Soneji make sure to definitely vote every D1? Cause he seems to be quite the AFK player, especially early. I would think he's had D1s where he doesn't vote (?)
In other words, this fact in itself may point towards either of Bob or Daisy.

If he avoided voting Bob and Daisy because they're his teammates... I don't know if that makes sense. They should have been bussing by that point, right?

Is it fair to say that there is an alarming lack of scum hunting this game? Is that normal? Cause I don't think it's normal?
I would say people are complacent with the Day 1 scum lynch, but such complacency should at least be accompanied by a clear path forward based on that.
We lynched the scum too early. Needed more interactions, dammit town!

It's also possibly angle-shooting?
"It's not a good scum tell around here"
"Uncited fact is that they're more likely scum"
"Nullish exposition"
They are suspicious for the replacement"
"Maybe we shouldn't"
You missed a word.
That first sentence was a different topping. This was more like a pizza.
And I never said we 'shouldn't'.

Why would he bus someone who only had two votes? Especially if that player was Daisy, who had two votes for absolutely no reason. All the wagons were weak as hell. The fact that he made sure to vote at all, and made Kyle effectively a competing wagon just by bringing him up to two votes may be significant.
Why did Soneji cate to vote at all if all of Kyle, Daisy and Bob are town for example?

Honestly, from what I've seen, mafia do better overall on this site than on my home site. I think town sometimes lack a sense of urgency and it often frustrates me. I'm not trying to playstyle police here though. I also find it genuinely interesting.
