I play a lot of board games at various levels of competition (I was at a point regional scholastic chess champion and I play mtg and heroclix at various competitive levels). When you’re playing at top levels it’s not “fun”, at least by the common sense. There’s still satisfaction, there’s still enjoyment, but it’s not “fun”. Mafia works the same way. When you’re competing, and like actually competing, it gets more stressful and the enjoyment isn’t from any sort of amusement even if to some people that can be a better experience.

FYI I’m a top level mafia player and on average roughly 50% of my content is jokes. So. You’re living your entire life incorrectly, bro.

This feels rather lazy and too simplistic. I can't say I like how you keep dropping off the list of reads on everyone. It feels tryhard and fake contributing. It doesn't come across as genuine to me. I'd also like to point out how in this game you're doing a little less if not the exact same amount in terms of productivity as you did in the scrimmage game. I was taught there that town Jay does more contributing than scum Jay. I'm not seeing that right now. It might be a flawed comparison based on it just being D0 and the other was a full game but it's something I've been having on my mind for awhile.

I remember now how Beky did the same in the Hogwarts game against you, or how NeoRetro played when I was in a tizzy. TSP is acting like this. Scum generally does lay low and let the townies go at each other's throats or opportunistically jump in to push the mislynch. Good job Rej.

Jack and I were in the Mafia Universe spectator chat watching nutella and MacDougall representing our site in the wild card game of the champions tournament. That chat is loaded with “honorary civilians” all trying to solve the game in a semi-competitive light via bets and contests. Jack’s gripes at me in this game so far parallel the language and tones of his reads in there.

It might be unorthodox to invoke meta from a non-game space, but I don’t care. I am JaggedJimmyJay, Civilian Hero, Inventor of Exercises, Wielder of the Hammer of Justice, Protector of the Realm, The King of Fart Mountain.

exactly, that's why I don't like it if people just meta scumread someone, in a setup of this size more questioning should happen, rather than meta reading people and throwing shades, currently it is balanced tho, I have a hard time reading some people but other people give more space to read.
it is flipfloppy and reading back the pages always someone else is put under the gun, but mostly it's JJJ

Mac plays like a flexible towny, not avoiding the gun, I saw him play like this as town already twice, I can't go more into meta to dissect his D0 posts, but from a superficial view he acts towny, by following the main leads and adding contribution on his own pace

sprityo does not deliver enough space to be read, I rather tend to a null read and I don't want to make a fuss out of nullreads D0

I love setup speculation, so based on the setup I'd say we are not in a 1v10 and we have atleast 2 wolves. The PRs are closed information so we can't guess the scumbalance in this game until flips happen.

I have bad knowledge about Persona 5 but I don't exclude a solid mafia of atleast 2 people.

Well we aren’t in a 1v10 because definitionally that is not mafia and I’d throw a temper tantrum. I was thinking 3. That too many? Safe to say 2 or 3 in any case?

11 players suggests either 9:2 or 8:2:1. 7:3 sucks and 10:1 sucks even more. There are a maximum of three non-vanilla roles, so multiple independents are also unlikely.
