Divination sounds like the most useful of the bunch. It might give us good news. Worst case scenario it tells us when we're going to die and I'm the type that would rather know anyway. :P
Did you mean to vote differently from this post? I'm assuming it was a mistake but we'll have to accept the vote if we don't find out before the poll ends.
A message to all players: As far as participation is concerned you can post as often as you see fit (feel free to judge each others posting habits), but not voting/sending in required pms (even if it is to defer use of a power) will be penalized.

I voted the wrong one. I am, apparently, not the the sharpest tack in the box. Sorry hosts. If my vote can go for history of magic, that would be great. I understand if it remains the one I voted for.

I can send your plenty of pms, if you know what I mean.

WTF was up with Wilgy's entire deal?
... Once in the castle, the students all made their way through the torch lit Entrance Hall, which echoed with their footsteps, past the marble staircase and then straight to the Great Hall where they still took a moment to marvel at the enchanted ceiling. They took their usual seats at the four long house tables, while the exchange students sat in the doorway looking uncertain as to where they should sit. This did not last long for the now Hogwarts residents waved frantically from all four tables making the newcomers feel more at ease in joining them, whilst still glancing at the floating candles reflecting in the starry dark ceiling.
After following the Sorting Ceremony with expressions of interest, the new students started to pick up the golden plates, goblets and the pieces of cutlery examining them, both impressed and starving, before being interrupted by the ringing voice of the Headmaster who has risen to greet them all before the start of the feast.
“To our newcomers - welcome! said Professor Dumbledore widely stretching his arms.’ And to our old hands, welcome back! First years and exchange students ought to know that the Forest on the School grounds is out-of-bounds. Mr. Filch, our caretaker, has asked me to remind you that the use of magic is prohibited on the corridors between classes, as well as a list of other things which can be found fastened to Mr. Filch’s office door. Those who wish to play Quidditch for their house teams, please contact your Heads of House as usual.
And now, as everybody in this Hall knows, Lord Voldemort and his followers have returned and are growing more powerful as we speak.”
The students sunk into silence, and before the Headmaster could speak again, terror took over the Great Hall.
It is now Day 1. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.
That was a bit rude. "Welcome to Hogwarts, it's going to be a fantastic year! Remember, the Forbidden Forest is forbidden, and no magic in the corridors! Also, the man who murdered thousands of people and was until recently believed to be dead, is now forming an army to enslave the rest of the world! Enjoy the feast!"

I accuse Mary of being an evil sweater-stealing, tattletale, ugly, jealous hag. Good witches don't go snooping through other witches rooms and reading their diaries.

I think it's weird for her to have posted that she was pinged when there was nothing much on topic posted, but I am also not sure I want to lynch the first person trying to get the discussion on topic. On one hand, she could be legitimately trying to get discussion going, but the other option is she was trying to post on topic without committing to any actual suspicions. I'm looking forward to hearing these pings first

Well, I don't think anyone has suggested lynching her.

History tells us that this day will probably play out with randomization Which posts pinged you? There hasn't really been any on-topic discussion yet.
Someone has never seen The Princess Bride, I see. :P
fwiw - I think she was playing Wesley in this post and her one before it.
I could be wrong, but I'm seeing it as a post to start generating discussion. Doesn't mean she's civ or mafia, just means she was WIFOM starting discussion.
