Grant Balfour had been having trouble with the strike zone all inning. Or, in his head, the umpire was having trouble with it. He'd already walked the leadoff man on what felt like a good pitch. Now he was down 2-1 in the count, and his latest pitch had been perfectly located on the black.

"Crikey!" he muttered to himself, wondering aloud where the pitch might have been. But his musings were overheard by the homeplate ump, who did not take kindly to criticism. Without a moment's hesitation, Grant was ejected. In stunned disbelief, he pleaded his case, but he knew there was no use. When eventually he retreated to the dugout, the ump stood staring long in his direction, as if daring anyone else to raise their voice. No one was willing to test him. Not yet, at least.

MacDougall has been ejected. He was Grant Balfour, a vanilla civilian.

But if I had to point to one thing, I don't think I can quite fake the exact progression of reads changes I do as town when I'm scum. It's very hard to fake complete re-assessment like that, and I did that with Michelle.

But you woudn't be faking the reassessment, would you? If you were bad and you knew she wasn't? It woud be easier to change your mind that to push the fake suspicion initially. I think you are downplaying your skills in this post as well.

I don't necessarily suspect you, but I don't not suspect you either. But you downplaying how good you actuallyare at things like this ... I never saw you as a falsely modest person, and we leave it there for now.

Why is this unproductive? Laying out an opinion before the lynch post goes up lets people know where you are re the lynch to come. I am honestly perplexed by this, telling someone how to post. Have things changed that much since I last played?

I'll take a step back and re-consider. I still think you're more town than not as well, and I don't want us to drift away from having found each other if that is indeed the case. I appreciate the input regardless. It could just be that you and I disagree with how to approach pre-associative reads, even if they're technically after EOD but before the flip, and that's totally okay. I overreacted because I know I'm town and I feel like I've made that evident, so it's on me. I apologize, I should have taken a step back. It's all just very foreign to my brain.

I'll consider what you have to say about Nanook because I'm otherwise going off of what you all have to say about him. I like that he did things in EOD, but I see the room for manipulation as well. But other than that I don't have much.
