[Day 7]: Film Noir - Game Over

Re: [Day 6]: Film Noir.
I'll go ahead and vote Timmer. His defense and the fact that he 'holds to his vote to save himself' when he has no votes, does sound like a cornered baddie to me.

I would be doing the same thing, were I him, baddie or not. Nobody wants to lose :-\Lizzy wrote:I'll go ahead and vote Timmer. His defense and the fact that he 'holds to his vote to save himself' when he has no votes, does sound like a cornered baddie to me.
I don't like this. The evidence is definitely in favor of voting Timmer, but his posts do not say 'baddie' to me at all.
And honestly, yours do. There's no evidence at all, but I can't help picturing a Lizzy-Vomps team sitting behind the "We're always like this" screen and picking off civs.
And it would work *so* well on a player like me - you two (well, I guess AP too, but he doesn't seem to be voting the party line this game)
never give me any information because you vote so strangely, and in Vomps' case often with no explanation at all.
Re: [Day 6]: Film Noir.
Fact: there are 5 remaining people
Fact: there have to be more civs left than baddies for the game to continue, so there must be at least 3
Fact: i think timmer is a civ
Fact: I am not sure if vomps is a civ, but i'd like to hope so
Fact: I think Nev isn't a civ
Conclusion: I ask vomps to please vote Nev with me and Timmer so that we may have a chance of winning
Prediction: vomps votes with Lizzy and we lose our majority

If Lizzy and Vomps were the team, she wouldn't have just voted Timmer - they would have both voted for me.
Timmer's the only one left that makes sense.
Timmer's the only one left that makes sense.
Re: [Day 6]: Film Noir.
nev if you are civ then we were screwed either way today. the only hope for a civ win now is if vomp votes for you and you turn out to be the baddie. if you are civ and we both vote each other weve all been outplayed sadly. I hope you are bad.

The only thing that fits with that voting outcome is AP and Timmer as a team -
if they get a kill and a 'random' kill tonight then we could still lose, but otherwise I think we're home free :-D

Night 6: You Only Live Once?

The detectives hopped off the train at the next station, which was listed as Scarlet Street.
"Is this where we wanted to go?" asked Nevinera.
"I'm not sure, but we have to look for bea!" shouted Vompatti.
"Look! There's a sign!" said Lizzy.
"I don't really believe in that stuff," said A Person.
"No, I mean, an actually sign! Look at that billboard!"
"Call Northside 777," read Timmer.
"I think there's a courtesy phone in Mac's Diner we can use!" Vompatti remembered.
"I would like a grilled cheese and some fries and a strawberry milkshake," said Lizzy, who was still hungry after her candy bars.
"C'mon!" A Person said, pulling her arm.
They talked into Mac's Diner. A man with impeccably groomed facial hair was behind the soda fountain, wiping down the counter. A woman with long, shiny hair sat in the corner, doing paperwork.
"Can we use your phone?" asked Nevinera.
"Sure thing," Mac replied. He turned to the woman keeping the books. "Hey, Toots, show these cats where the party line's at."
"You got it, Mac. Right this way, if you please. Wow, you are all so filthy!" she stated.
She pointed to a rotary phone near the restrooms.
"I'll leave you to it!" she spun on her heel and quickly padded back to her table of papers.
"Who should make the call?" asked Timmer.
"Not me," whispered A Person.
"I dunno k," Vompatti said.
"Give it to me!" said Lizzy, snatching the phone from its bed. She tersely dialed the numbers in the correct order.
"Ssh, it's ringing!" she said to the others.
"Hello?" said bea, on the other end of the line.
bea is alive!
Timmer has been killed. He was Sam Spade.

Night 6: Sorry, Wrong Number

"Bea!? what are you doing on the phone?"
"Sorry, wrong number," bea replied, and abruptly hung up the phone.
"This is getting ridiculous," said Nev.
"Where's Mattmatt?" asked Vompatti.
"I think he is in that back room, petting the owners' cat, Franz Lizst," Nev stated.
"I wouldn't mind petting the cat, if you know what I mean," winked Vompatti.
"I never know what you mean," stated Nevinera.
"Well, let's go reunite Team VAL," said Lizzy.
Nev stared awkwardly at his shoes.
"And Nev too, I suppose," Lizzy said. "Team VLAN doesn't have the same ring to it though, does it?"
Vompatti opened the door to the diner's storage room. A Person had sizeable claw marks all over his face, and his throat had been ripped out.
"Bad kitty!" shouted Team VAN.
MattMatt was killed by Franz Kindler.
It is now Day 7. You have 24 hours to select a baddie to be sent to the firing squad.

So VL must be franz and cody?

I think Bea is a civ and I refuse to vote for Lizzy so I have to vote for Nevi.
Re: [Day 7]: Film Noir.
Really? Well then, this can only mean two things: you're either on the same boat with Bea, Franz or... she's got you right where she wanted.Nevinera wrote:Clearly that makes you Lydecker bea, there's no other way you could be alive again.

If Matt was right, it looks like you're not even trying anymore. But looking at Vomps, I'm inclined to take a little gamble here. Whatever the case is though, Bea is the common denominator. Without revealing too much, let's just say that I don't agree with your first statement. Let us also observe a few things:
1. Cody stopped killing since Bea died.
2. Franz has secrets.
3. I'm not so sure Lydecker has been targeted at night yet.
Here's what I think: Bea is Cody. Franz is the role that currently holds the NK, not the entire baddie team. It is very easy at this point in the game to target a teammate who you know you're able to bring back (secrets k, plus it would make sense for the game's balance) to gain credibility and play the Lydecker card especially if Franz is in no real danger. I'm voting Bea, and since Vomps has already made up his mind, I can't convince him to join me, but if you're the other civ, maybe we can prolong this a bit.

Re: [Day 7]: Film Noir.
Ture.
I'm surprised at how well they've played it. :\ Consider this though: I had a couple of great opportunities to throw two theoretical teammates under the bus, Dom in particular, and I would never miss that for the world. So unless you're with Bea, I think you might actually be in danger.

The End of Rico

The few remaining detectives turned on bea, suspicious at her miraculous return from the grave.
Only Vompatti offered a word in her defense.
She herself made no move to stop them as they descended upon her.
Little did she know that this was no longer about solving a missing persons case. They had gone way beyond that.
Vompatti watched helplessly from his wheelchair, as he realized that they had all been played like so many fiddles from the start.
Sometimes, a guy just can't catch a break.
Bea has been lynched. She was Waldo Lydecker.
The Mafia has won the game!
Congratulations to Dom, Lizzy, Nevinera and Roxy!

We were really worried that with all the info roles, the baddies would be at a severe disadvantage, but all of the info roles got extremely unlucky.

I had a fleeting thought that Lizzy was being honest when she came right out and said she was bad.
Thanks for a fun game, sorry Kate & I were not totally present. We had opposing win conditions, which kinda took the luster off of being partners, neither of us much wanted to do the betrayal thing. After she died, I kinda lost track of who i won with, lol, so i was trying to play for the civs. Sorry K4J
I really did think you were bad.
I knew Nevin was bad, but not till after K4J was gone, so there was not much to be done about it
I knew i was being lynched, with Lizzy voting for me every lynch. Kate knew Roxy was bad, too, but I think she was winning with the baddies that day, so she just kinda shrugged it off

I knew Nevin was bad, but not till after K4J was gone, so there was not much to be done about itI knew i was being lynched, with Lizzy voting for me every lynch. Kate knew Roxy was bad, too, but I think she was winning with the baddies that day, so she just kinda shrugged it off

Re: [Day 7]: Film Noir - Game Over
Wow Congrat baddies. Seriously Nev and Lizzy are not allowed to be bad togethe anymore. Too much like Thomas for me.
I really though Nev might be bad when he subbed in and someone called him out, but was 100% convinced he wasn't when I died. I was thinking it was AP in the end.
Definitely had bad luck as the LD. Day 1 couldn't find anything and checked a useless statement Day 2 someone redirected me to check Enygma Eve, who had a total of 2 posts, so no help there, and finally Day 3 I checked K4j, and that's what swung me to voting Roxy the next day. No info on Roxy at all though.
Wish I could have been more help. Great game Mongoose and Llama!! Made me want to go watch old favorites again.

We were laughing because the lie detector never detected one lie, the baddie detector never detected one baddie, and the role checker never found a baddie.

I don't want to live in that universe.
