I feel really out of it today. My town reads are either being read as scum by others or are scum reading other of my town reads. No one is standing out to me as scum, the qualms I have about people seem unconvincing. I see a lot of green and yellow if I'm doing a rainbow. I'm going to take a break and come back in about an hour and re-evaluate.

I honestly think nutella's push on me is absolute garbage, and I don't mean that as fabricated because she could easily be town and it could be garbage, and I need her to specifically tell me what posts of mine sounded forced and how she thought that meant I would be scum in this game.

I honestly mean it when I say all of them. It's a tone thing. It's the way you've responded to lots of different posts with something like "yeah, that makes a lot of sense" and are exuding a general appearance of being overly logical and analytical towards each and every possible angle. It's a general sense that you are coming across as a caricature of your usual meta.

Also, my early scum read of MP was not totally a joke. I retracted it, but it did actually come back as his later posts felt wrong/forced somehow. A lack of good thing is not necessarily bad.

How you answer that question is in one of three ways.

1) You are town. You know at least one role that makes up the town and you make a guess at the entire game theme. Your guess could be wrong but it is without fear because you are town.

2) You are scum. You know at least one full side and can make a very very educated guess at the alignment of any given role.

3) You are third party and don’t know shit.

Under 3, you’ll tend to hold back and go with the flow. I’d put money on Tony not being 3P.

Under 2, you could have tmi and you’d be worried about that. And worried about standing out. And if you don’t have a safeclaim (imagine reading the rules), locking yourself in to a specific type of fakeclaim that doesn’t match what a few others have said is not what you’d do. So that doesn’t really match what Tony is doing.

Now suppose Tony is town and (I’m gonna throw out some uneducated shit that is not similar to my own town role) say Dan Abbott or Tucker Carlson or Rand Paul. He could easily suppose Alex Jones as town and be perfectly confident such an answer would not cause him trouble because his role pm is town. That feels like what Tony is doing.

But if you have a majority answer it’s hard to tell if that’s a good educated guess, tmi or 3P going with the flow.

It’s good for Tony. It’s probably NAI for anyone else. It does restrict potential fake claims for those players though.

I voted there because the entry posts and prodding questions felt obligatory and lackluster, as a gut thing. I wanted to see what fire he brought and what defense he tossed up.
