It's literally an extra lynch. I'm pretty sure that's pro-town on balance. The catch is that town have to have a general consensus in thread, or mafia will snag the majority easily. This happened in the GOC and everyone just claimed who their secret vote was gonna be on a consensus suspect.

Eh, problem with secret TK is that it has to be near- unanimous and people have to stick to it even if they don’t agree with it, otherwise scum can abuse it.

I think there are good odds that it doesn’t break the game, but given the general town slant in the powers (I actually think 3 is good but then I hate CFDs) I’m hesitant to vote for something that isn’t as clearly townie. I also don’t think its existence means that theme isn’t a good indicator.

Ok so for the rules. I'm hoping this is a one day thing because none of them really appeal to me.

Rule 1: Secret vote - it seems like this allows scum to all hop on the same person here at the beginning when all of them are alive as opposed to open lynches where they are usually adverse to all voting together and get a civ lynched. [mention]nutella[/mention] you said if we used it right it would be more of a civ thing. What did you have in mind?

Rule 2: Post slightly within character - this seems relatively harmless unless you don't know your character. I meant to try it but then forgot when the game started. This seems like the least impactful option.

Rule 3: Eliminate all but the top 2 one hour before the lynch. I think the point that was made that this just moves EOD an hour earlier is a good one. I'm a little worried though because if EOD stays at 10:00 I may not make it to a lot of them and could miss that last hour where I would need to revote. If EOD is moving to an earlier hour I'm not worried about this. My other qualm is my feeling about the day period in early game is it's important for civs to have as much time as possible (within reason) to make their decisions.

So at the moment I see #2 as the best option unless a lot of people don't know their character, #3 as the second option, and #1 as the third option. As we talk it through though my mind can be changed. I'll wait to vote.

I'm generally feeling suspicious of 112 and Nanook across the day. I haven't really pinpointed for myself why, but I would join those wagons if they were a go at crunch time.

I don't suspect Mplus7, and even if I did, I am unlikely to contribute to his Day 1 lynch after I specifically called for and performed his Night 1 kill in the last game we played, Mafia is fun online social time, and I want to hang with my old friend.

I am not suspicious of DDL for the Radishes accusation. nutella sure is, but that's ok. Not really down with voting nutella.

Juliets could be an option. I don't have a townread of her.

My vote has been on Tony for too long. He could be bad, but I'd rather vote 112 or Nanook. [VOTE: Nanook] aubergine because 112's wagon is already revving up.

LC, I know gut reads are hard to pinpoint but there must be something that leads you to vote for Nanook. It would be great if you could even just describe what your gut is saying about him.
