Standard leetic rules:
1. Days are 48 hours long and nights are 24 hours long.
2. The thread will be unlocked during the night.
3. No hammer rule is in effect.
4. No outside contact except for host-approved factional chat.
5. If a phase has the potential to be the last in the game (e.g. MyLo or LyLo) it will be announced.
6. Any questions should be submitted privately to me. I will provide a public answer if I feel one is warranted.
7. This should go without saying, but anyone who posts screenshots of mod conversations or role PMs will be modkilled.
8. Ties result in a no lynch (or in this case, nobody getting the gun).
9. Please be respectful to other players. Keep in mind that, at the end of the day, this is only a game.
10. At least five game related posts per day phase are required or you will be subbed out.
11. Dead players cannot post on-topic and must use this font color.
12. Same with non-players and this color.
13. This is the not a color that I as the host will be using. Please don't post in this color.

Rules specific to this game:
1. The person with the most votes at the end of each day will receive a gun. During the night phase, that person should privately send me the name of a player to kill. That player will die at the end of the night.
2. Mafia have a factional poison ability instead of a nightkill. Poisoned players will be announced at the beginning of each day and will die at the end of the day.
3. The same person cannot receive the gun for two consecutive days. This rule will be ignored if there are only three players remaining who can vote.
4. Poisoned players can still vote but will not be able to receive the gun.
5. As mentioned previously, a tied vote will result in nobody getting the gun.
6. Voting for yourself is allowed.
7. Phases update at 10pm eastern time.

Mafia can get the gun too and mafia can poison themselves
I see a play we can go with

Give gun each day
Someone dies each night, less numbers, more chance to kill mafia
2nd most suspected person to take the kill

The less people we have the bigger chances to find mafia
2nd most suspected person taking the kill is good bcs if they are mafia killing mafia they have to buss their teammate and mafia won't poison one of their own to prevent the kill. If 2nd most sus is town killing mafia then mafia has to poison them to save their buddy, not only do we force mafia to poison who we want and not who they want we also can use it determine if kill target is scum or not. If mafia doesn't decide to save their buddy we get a kill. And if 2nd most sus is town killing town thats a risk we have to take. It aint a perfect plan but i like it

If you are given a gun to take the kill and you are suspected but townie. If you dont believe person you are told to kill is town you should kill yourself instead

You are already suspected and if you dont believe your target is scum you should rather take your life than theirs. If you shoot someone and they are townie it doesnt change anything, but if you kill yourself you just removed yourself so your team can focus on others

johann i'ma have to respectfully disagree with this strategy. i guess wagonomics is way different on this site than what i'm used to, but just agreeing to kill off suspects without using flips to develop our reads isn't the best way to go about things imo. nor is it the best for the person getting a gun to straigh-up follow town consensus-- that never goes well from what i've seen. let people do their thing; try hard to pick the right person to get the gun

also, self-killing: actually never.

We should either make 2nd most suspected kill most suspected or make the most suspected kill themself

Giving gun to someone else puts in position to give a gun to powerwolf. Giving it to the player we deem to be scum and make them kill themself is better

but why would scum want to kill themselves? think about it-- if they shoot themselves, they're dead. if they don't, we lynch them the next day, but they can take someone else down with them before that happens

like i just don't think this plays out the way you think it will

I got my PM and do not care when phases start/end.

Self-killing makes zero sense [mention]Johann[/mention].

We should give the gun to someone with a subset of players they're allowed to choose from to shoot.

If they go outside that, they got shot next.

I think it's better then deciding on a specific player because that keeps mafia from being able to control the conversation easily.

And at 13 players, 10/3 split... Assuming the gun always gets used (no ties, but in most cases that should be easy enough to avoid since we can hammer)... We can only afford like 4 gun uses on a civ? One or two more if we get 1 or 2 of the mafia mixed in with that? Right? It's too early for me to be mathing. But it's a general point.

Then once we have a baddie killed, players who had them in their subset but chose not to shoot them can be looked at more in depth. Plus that's a way to try and force the mafia into bussing if they do get the gun.
