I really hope this isn't one of those old timey "mafia leader" roles that cannot be chopped until all of the teammates are chopped first. One of my least favorite roles ever

Anyone who thinks they run the risk of being nightkilled (eg. if you're widely townread) should leave a legacy post before the end of the night phase. It doesn't have to be a reads list, it can be anything you want, or general sentiments that you think the town should follow ("trust the towncore!"). This isn't to say that we'll just blindly sheep your legacy, especially because the mafia could have killed you specifically to get us to trust your (wrong) reads, but it's definitely important information to take into account. Knowing what someone who is confirmed to be town and is trying their best to solve the game deems to be important is a crucial bit of information.

I’m not willing to allow “FG played inefficiently, therefore FG is Town” to be an argument that has any merit.

a) Mafia is likely to have limited uses of unexecutable (probably just one).

b) Mafia would not want to waste their unexecutable, because it is far more powerful when used in the late game than when frivolously thrown away.

c) Funnygurl is aware of b).

d) Funnygurl has played in a way that indicates that she doesn't care about throwing her unexecutable away.

e) This means that Funnygurl probably doesn't have limited use of unexecutable and is therefore town.

Which of these above statements do you disagree with?

I’m more unsettled than I thought I would be, FG is still my main suspect but there’s an unusually compelling reason to rethink that. Funny certainly didn't play her role in an optimal way as town thats for sure. I just find it odd how see ended as the top train when here approach to EoD made no sense from the perspective of a scum, unless she was:

1. Town-siding
2. She is w/w with Con

Given that she was unkillable, pulling the kill away from Con makes sense in that world, but IDK if I really believe that yet

I don't know if this is a "help me justify my gut feeling" post or a legitimate "try to guess my reason" post, but if it's the latter my guess is that she didn't claim it until we wasted D1 on her.

Don't know how to feel about Hally's saying to shoot FG if there is a vig. If that is mafia trying to get vig to shoot town, it is openwolf in a way that doesn't feel very in line with Hally's personality. But I also have respect for Hally's scum range and have never seen her play as scum so I am not very confident in that read. The logic makes sense but I find it really difficult to ask a vig to shoot someone I think is town.

Quick notes as time is short:

My primary takeaway from this is that the players generally being trusted the most are also difficult to place on coherent mafia teams. That tells me that the collective effort to form a strong core group and play process of elimination has been effective, and that we aren't in a place where paranoia is wise. There are some isolated "orange" blocks speckled about the non-POE space; this doesn't mean those interactions do or should supersede the POE pool. These are things to be mindful of if the game ever demands it later, and to investigate for yourselves to sort your own feelings. Also note that when there is less content to assess, "yellow" blocks become inherently more likely -- there is simply less material to help me make a determination. This is why you see a lot of that for players like sabie and Spacedaisy.
