This will the last post MacDougall ever makes in a mafia game.

It has been many years and I feel I have reached a point with this game where I get no value out of it other than to further stretch my distrust or disrespect of my fellow humans.

It's weird right, there's just something about this particular game. I don't know. Pyre Mafia will go down in infamy, or perhaps just the good version of that.

You know, when I thought I was good at the game I was bad, and continued to demonstrate it. So it was like an actual challenge. It was almost like training myself out of ego.

Alas, now that I realise that there is no good at the game. I am certainly not good at the game. There just is no, "good at the game". There are those that play the game and those that play the game. And the truth is that if the latter are randomly drawn to the be the informed minority, the game is won before it begins unless your town team are fully comprised also of players.

You think you're a player don't you? If you do, you're not. If you think you're not, you're also probably not. A player knows they're not. They don't think they are or they aren't, they know. They know that what I am saying is absurd bullshit. But they also know it's true. It's the way that it is.

Because the truth is that Mafia ultimately kills you. It kills all the human in you. You become a shadow person. Scumreading your children at breakfast. Scumreading your friends at a barbecue. And sometimes you have to defeat yourself for your friends to.

And being a shadow person is okay because being a human is to be bad town.

as described seems more useful to mafia than town imo, that way you can know you're sending the rolecop info to a teammate. either way it's just a weird role.
