I do not understand this perspective. Of all of the players in this game, none of them are easier for me to see as a mafioso than Epignosis. He is doing nothing while he's being served up on a platter.

It isn't all that atypical for Epignosis to play like a player who is caught when he is caught. He understands well that even getting chopped doesn't lose him the game if he has handled his business appropriately. I believe it was Assassin's Creed when he promptly stopped doing anything and only at a certain point outed himself for a laugh. I believe he had mechanical evidence against him there, so it probably promoted a more blatant example of this behavior.

I'm never giving someone a pass stuff like this. I'm just not doing it.

at this stage in the game I am not going to believe any late miller claims. anyone who hasn't claimed miller yet will be assumed to not be a miller and any red checks on them by SD will be treated as legitimate

I read Epi in Assassins Creed and obviously without context it’s hard to make too many judgments, but he seemed a lot more adamant about self-defense there than he has been here. I think I did glean a moment where he kind of stopped, but until that point he fought the vote vigorously.

People keep saying the things I’m doing are bad. They don’t say why or explain why scum me would do these things.

If I’m bad and you’re not, why do I try to divert onto TSP? If he’s good I’m a bungler and led a horrible decision. If he’s bad (and I’m bad) I’d have no reason to draw attention to him or execute a bus.

If I’m bad, why am I talking about “awful tinfoil”? Making others appear suspicious, maybe, I’ll spot you that ... but I didn’t even do that. Tony made a good point that a post I made would necessitate a weird scumteam. I haven’t encouraged the point I made further after realizing that, so this is a blatant misrepresentation of what I’ve done.

If you’re town and we collude to chop you because we’re bad, then it’s incredibly likely that we are together signing a death sentence once you flip town, because one of us probably gets chopped tomorrow and the other definitely right after that.

None of what you said makes sense, as individual indicators of my “scumminess” or together in one coherently scummy whole.

If I am bad, I am defending Epi with an ulterior motive to the rest of the thread.

If, in the above scenario, Epi is good, I don’t gain anything by defending him. He’s as deep in POEland as can be and keeping him alive does nothing for me. Worse, I’m probably TMIing all over the place to accomplish ... nothing.

If, in the above (above) scenario, Epi is bad, I defend him and we it soon spells to everybody (because in this scenario, Alison is good and I risk everything to destroy her) I’m bad as hell, Epi is bad as hell, whole thing falls apart.

It makes no sense. It’s a nonsense reason to be up-in-arms with me that has no logical explanation.

Defending a good person in and of itself doesn’t help me accomplish my wincon if I’m scum. Saving my partner does in a vacuum, but the circumstances of this game and this phase all point to Epi and I being big targets if Alison is good so I don’t think that’d be a very smart course of action to take. I don’t think I ever said bussing is “garbage”, just that I prefer not to do it (and it can be rude to whomever gets bussed if you don’t get their consent).
