disagree because I think scum would be more hesitant to ask a scummy sounding question like that. Or would ask their teammates over the thread, etc.
If it's a scum question i think it would be newb scum and Urist doesn't strike me as a newb
I think M+ looks good so far, mostly bc of similarity to the last game I played with her. What are your thoughts?

Re: The Lion King [Day 0]
Hi! Nice to meet you ^^
Michelle, are you scum? Cause I feel a strong likely to yes on that.
I disagree with this cause what mechanics is there really to discuss compared to the SI game? I think the way he was trying to preemptively defend himself was scummy. I also haven't seen any mindset that reads clear town from Proto which I saw immediately last game. I think his style is the same, but I'm hm about his posts.Alison wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 12:59 pmNah, all scum proto has to do is come in here and post 5000 words theorizing about game mechanics that everyone skims over, and then collect his free towncred. Everything he's done here just reeks of purity, and the "do you think I am scum? What about if I told you X? Shouldn't you scumread me if I told you Y?" thing is a quirk I've noticed he has in his gamesolving style as town. It's also a quirk that I haven't told him I noticed, so I don't think he's intentionally replicating it to pocket me.
(Also do you mean to say "Alison's scum"? Like you said I was town then went on to explain why my read was awful.)
Favorite scum pairing. Like how you and Mac was my favorite last game. RipAlison wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 1:04 pmFavorite what?Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:07 am Alison/Proto would be my favorite and not impossible tbh tbh

I feel mixed about town versus wolf. Historically I prefer town, but also I can enjoy wolf too. I'm not sure how I feel about them anymore, but it's mostly because I haven't been wolf really much at all since my return and even leading up to my Champs run two years ago! I would say whether I am enjoying a game is a more complicated function than my role card anymore.
I definitely prefer vanilla/goon to PRs because I'm all about the behavioral reads.

gun to my head i dont have a read on dizzy as well and i wished this wasnt so since he wasnt hard at all to townread last game. this could be on my part (paranoia that i might be wrong) (or paranoia that i might be overestimating myself and "spreading myself too thin" which might result in inaccurate reads if i try too hard). i dunno
my biggest focus this game will be trying to read alison. i really wish that if shes scum i can catch her. this is me reading all of alison's posts carefully and trying to catch her scumslip

I feel like I'm more or less an open book when I play but apparently others don't see it. Maybe it's bc I'm new, dunno

Re: The Lion King [Day 0]
I understand, but do you think it makes Urist townie specifically? I didn't get much of an impression of that, but perhaps that's on me.Alison wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 1:10 pm I think the Urist read on tutuu's diction makes sense. Town are more likely to think about how to get into someone's head, and the excessively convoluted metaphor means that it was imagery that tutuu was focused on and/or churning around in her head for quite some time. Pretty reasonable for a page 3 read. Not seeing anything I should be concerned about there right now.

Re: The Lion King [Day 1]
here's a compilation of this thread's scumreads. i'm hoping to hear from everyone with an update on where they stand on them now
1612 - has not provided any scumreads
Alison - the closest alison has come to a scumread was referring to urist's hesitancy to give reads as 'slightly scummy'
cobbler - the closest i have come to a scumread was dizzy's post saying i was town
Dyslexicon - had one scumread on proto that was later rescinded and explained to be a bit of a joke or gambit. hinted at a scumread on michelle just now
jeraldoo - has not provided any scumreads
Lavender - provided a scum read on LC. provided a scum read on me as a reaction test then got a second reaction which they didn't like. doesn't believe MP and dizzy could be scum together
Long Con - has not provided any scumreads
Michelle - the closest michelle has come to a scumread was highlighting a post by tutuu that she didn't like
M Plus 7 - has not provided any scumreads (but has filled my head with sunshine)
protocultures - provided a hard scum read on scirrus. provided an additional scum read on urist
Scirrus - has not provided any scumreads
tutuu - (their post history link is broken [mention]dunya[/mention] ) - has not provided any scumreads
Urist - provided a scumread on dizzy
aight i'm going to start saying sr instead of scumread because i typed 'scrumread' like 40 times just now
update on my thoughts on dizzy's post: it still pings me in a vacuum but i don't get the same vibe from the rest of their posts. still a suspect tho imo

Also in my experience town tends to gun for town me with more vigor than scum does. (Funnygirl last game lol)

systematically is a strong word. i suppose i'll be most likely to keep it updated when either i need it myself or if anyone requests it. it doesn't take too long - especially if i start taking notes as i read new posts which i've just inspired myself to doM Plus 7 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:06 pmAre you intending on updating this systematically?

I saw your answer, which I appreciate! I actually do have a follow-up though. You have said "but I've seen similar kinds of thought processes come from town proto so it's NAI for him." I don't fully understand, is it town proto behavior or just something proto does? Based on what else you said about it, I thought it would be the former. Thanks!

Thanks for this! I also was underwhelmed by Michelle's entrance; I look forward to more.Scirrus wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:07 pmI'm still catching up but i tr
tutuu, urist, cobbler, and you?
i'm liking dizzy's thoughts so i think i'll put him in there too
i wanna hear proto's response to my questions but i'm like ehhhhhhh. i think the way he delivers his thoughts is a little odd for scum though. I have this feeling he may hold his thoughts closer to his chest as scum but it's just speculation really
Also in my experience town tends to gun for town me with more vigor than scum does. (Funnygirl last game lol)
I don't tr alison so far, michelle's entrance post was pretty meh, long con also meh, everyone else hasn't posted yet i think? from where i'm at in the thread

I have a feeling Proto and I have very different perspectives on how to play the game so we'll probably butt heads regardless lol

I understand, I certainly don't want you to feel pressured to! I just was curious. That sounds really intriguing, and I support you doing whatever you think is best.cobbler wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:08 pmsystematically is a strong word. i suppose i'll be most likely to keep it updated when either i need it myself or if anyone requests it. it doesn't take too long - especially if i start taking notes as i read new posts which i've just inspired myself to doM Plus 7 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:06 pmAre you intending on updating this systematically?

Re: The Lion King [Day 1]
doing a skim of new posts (if I have skipped questions, I will almost certaintly revisit them later) but i wanted to ping this post out as doing Town work. You can view it as NAI, but its more likely town. Unless cobbler is a super try hard mafia.cobbler wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:58 pm here's a compilation of this thread's scumreads. i'm hoping to hear from everyone with an update on where they stand on them now
1612 - has not provided any scumreads
Scirrus - has not provided any scumreads
tutuu - (their post history link is broken @dunya ) - has not provided any scumreads
