I am suspicious of Phoenix and Sunfire the most. I also thought Havoks vote was weird because he ignored my idea that all the votes in the same place was too convenient.

I think you need to re-read the role.

I would be down for a spiral vote

Changing votes is a win win. If qs is bad, he won't be lynched unless the baddie team dropped the ball bigtime. If he's civ, we save him.

cable, you cleatly havent read back. If qs is bad he was the obvious choice for magneto.

Hawkeye your plsn is perfect if only we knew about vote manipulation.

i think one of the powers magneto had listed in the signup thread was that votes would be split between the players above and below his target on the poll. i thought it was that too, until i reread the roles just now. i guess it was changed to be a 3 target thing, so there's no way of knowing which players the votes could have been spread to.

still, it seems like a very dangerous power that we should very much prepare for :x

if we just make sure that someone else has at least half as many votes as the lead vote getter, we can prevent one of magneto's targets from getting lynched in any circumstance. which is ideal since magneto is unlikely to siphon votes onto his teammates.

linkitis; i think it's very much possible, who should we pick as our alternate?

Or perhaps you might:

The master of magnetism, Magneto targets one person at Night. On odd Nights, that person will receive the votes of two other selected targets the following Day. On even Nights, that person’s received votes may be halved and distributed evenly to two other selected targets.

Seems like his ability changes depending on the night. It never says his target has to stay the same both nights, that wouldn't make sense based on the secondary targets.

Yeah, I am just trying to figure out which is the best option. And sadly, who will be able to get enough votes to override manipulation also matters.

Changed my vote to Sunfire. His day 2 vote was really strange, acknowledging that people had reasons to be suspicious of QS but then voting for Hawkeye because he'd voted QS. Felt like he was trying to make a half-hearted defense that wouldn't lead to him looking like he'd tried to save QS by voting TBird. I dunno, it's not a strong ping but I'd rather be safe than sorry if Magneto is messing about with votes. I had a question about that actually: @Epig: What are the rules re: double targeting for Magneto? If he makes someone his primary target one night, can they be a secondary target the following night?

Show me where it says its not the same person they target night 1.

They target 3 players night 1
(1 to get the votes 2 more to give votes to #1.)
They give their target 2 extra votes the following day
Then the same targets votes are halved the next day between 2 other people..

It says NOTHING about 2 different targets on odd/even nights.

I am staying with my vote and suspicion.

Because now you have to guess who the other two targets were that were picked.

Well what about when either the primary target dies from all the votes he got, or one of the secondary targets dies from their votes? That would be Magneto's aim, to control lynches and kill whoever he likes while protecting his team. I see where you're coming from but in my opinion it doesn't make sense for the power to work like that.

Well I placed my vote on Sunfire because I thought I read some others who were willing to but if you want to place your vote on Phoenix I will switch to that too because I both find them to have pinged me. Two different types, Sunfire who feels like he made a contradiction and unexplained vote and then Phoenix who feels like she has a guilty conscience and is defending herself before even being accused

Why don't you ask the host? Can I help how the role is clearly written?

Vision show me were it says its a new target?

It is written so clearly why can't you get it - "That person votes are halved for the next day"

I had felt suspicious of Phoenix, just a gut thing, but didn't feel I could justify it. You do have a point though. I think I'll keep my vote on Sunfire for now actually, if we all keep changing them every minute leading up to the lynch it's gonna get crazy.

i switched my vote to sunfire, if i'm understanding correctly, that will put her in the right numerical spot right? i'd been feeling better about her today, but it was mostly due to her thoughts on quicksilver, which.... i think may be invalidated if she's a baddie aware of the vote suction thing happening on quick silver? idk this whole thing is very confusing but everyone is being very frantic, and this feels like the right move
