I don't get this one. Why's this town?

sprityo has a particular energy when he's town and he sometimes gets misread for it but I tend to read him decently. idk if i can explain very well bc it's a tone thing but he's like... has this air of defiant confidence but sort of hesitant/self conscious on the surface

I think he is different from upick, but he was town there, although the confidence you are talking about I think he is tonally a bit confident but i see some sort of self awareness as well, if I was to compare those two, I think the first one can be maintained by a scum as well, while the latter is rarely townie. I'm not hard scum reading him atm, but I think I would look into them.

I really think the way sprityo attacked JPIC was super scummy and it's one of the major factors that would make JPIC trend up in my reads (I'm ambivalent about it atm because there are good reasons to scumread him too and he didn't really do anything when I tried to reach out to him and get him to show me his towniness).

It was like, sprityo gets pressured by Mac and questioned, and then he immediately redirects with "actually let's not talk about this, let's talk about your JPIC read, I thought that was interesting". And then when Mac challenges him to specify what he found interesting about the JPIC read, he flails for a bit and then lashes out at Mac ("everything you've said has been bollocks", "your case is only based on your own word" etc).

To me that reads as though sprityo is very uncomfortable with Mac's pressure and wants to divert attention to someone else he thinks Mac will scumread just as strongly, and perhaps even townread him for finding JPIC scummy. Could scum!sprityo bullshit some fake reason why the JPIC read was "interesting"? I don't know. But I do know that the two towny responses to pressure are either folding and just receding from the game (because you can't take it) or trying to argue/fight back and show why you're town/why the person pressuring you is misguided or scum. It isn't townie to just grab some random player that's widely scumread and try to use them as a human shield.

I didn't have as strong a reaction about ted being mafia until I got to this post and another like it that tutuu posted. Okay, I'm convinced, sprit is scummy. I want you to tell me how that suddenly changed. I don't think we've ever played together for starters.

Specifically what persuaded me was the way sprit declined multiple opportunities to earn Mac's townread by saying "yeah I think Mac is scum for misreading me". Regardless of how accurate the meta tell is, I think town are generally a lot more likely to just be like "yeah, yeah, I'm town, here's what you want, now leave me alone so I can slank/solve/lead/whatever", whereas mafia tends to be naturally be inclined towards being more self-conscious and less likely to "blatantly" try to grab towncred because they're paranoid it looks bad or it could be a trap.This is hypothetical, what is normal means nothing and meta is a useless word to justify an agenda. What town cred am I trying to grab?

Okay, here's something I will give you credit for. You're not wrong. I had just popped into thread, saw my name in Mac's mouth. Reacted. I was assuming something noteworthy had actually happened, but no it's day 1 where we all shout how ugly your christmas sweaters are and then you get locked in the closet for being not ugly enough. Second line is true, true, and true but why is it super bad? you just saying so doesnt make me believe anything. Finally a backpedal on the scum read just before. This post is really good at throwing shade and that's about it.

Okay JPIC, here's the good news. I think sprit and you both look bad but I also don't think you can be wolves together and the way sprit tried to turn the subject to you when under pressure indicates that you're the town of that pair. Which I've already quoted and talked about. This is the same post as above im saying is just shade throwing, only with more wording. This is more a direct attempt to get a single person to have a bad image of myself starting off. I'm sure any regular who's been in a game with Mac and I and we always have this rivalry goin on. I recognize mac is a good player, better than myself in my opinion. And mac recognizes i am a good player but a easy mislynch/lynch depending on what team we're respectively on. To which I will say yes, I am afraid of mac. Now you know. This isn't new so go figure that this post is NAI

Alison has been making a lot of posts about past games, mechanics kind of? and of course pushing me and really only me. I saw something about Odd and ted here and there but really nothing to support her town reads or her two scum reads. I think Alison is trying to be a deepwolf with minimal effort to be honest. As for who could be her partners I could definitely but down JPIC, Mac, Tutuu, and Hally as potential partners.

-JPIC for how she suddenly scum read them, then didnt, then tried to help them not be scumread
-Mac couldve just been sheeped but there's also the possibility of "lol watch me get sprit mislynched, i've done it before. Just follow my lead"

I'm ambivalent on Samu. He seems to be approaching this game in a very blunt way, which is >rand town in my experience. But I also don't like the way he throws out reads like they're obligatory rituals he has to do, without real conviction in them or followup. I could just be biasing the latter because he's halfway through catchup and doesn't have much chance to do a followup though. But compare to eg. Hally's read progressions/convictions during her catchup.

I think Samu is fairly towny this game, his approach is sort of similar to the game I played with him. And he is actually trying to scum hunt and questions around. Although it would be rather bold of me to call him town without seeing his mafia play, but I think he has an overall towny aura so far.

Okay so the whole Alison-Sprityo arc seemed to me rather t/t. I think I agree with Alison 's logic and points against him, although I do not like a few (e.g. the one where she said sprit is scummy cause he refused to scum/town read mac when Mac says he does scum/town read him as town.) but apart for a few I think I like their points.

Sprityo' s comebacks are rather very different than I remember in the only other game I played with them as town. Even so, Idk why but his tone and way of replying to Alison is rather very natural, bold and confident. If they do don't do power wolfing (I do not know his wolf meta can anyone tell me anything about it?) then I think he has towny posts and tone this game.

Tbh, I always feel like when I'm town and I know I'm town and someone is pushing me wrongly I often find it scummy as if they wants to frame me but those happen only in particular situations, and I end up tunneling them hard. although if I was to compare this to the current situation on Alison - sprityo (upto p24) I think they are probably t/t.
