ignoring the fact that mechanics point to you being scummy so you have a reason to argue against it:

the fact is that we're now in a position where we cannot not do mechanics. like what are we going to do, exe some vanity wagon or pet tinfoiil when people like herm or tim are running around with major unresolved questions swirling around them? there's too many mysteries and we have to clear 'em up
