This is a nook I recognize lol.

This nook is also ever so slightly more likely to be town than not, though I know most of my meta is on the older side and that he’s undoubtedly picked up some tricks more recently. The way he’s grumpily digging in here on not explaining himself early and about doing things the way he thinks they should be done. I’ve found he’s more inclined to be more helpful and explainey early as scum. I’ve seen this infuriate other town exactly like this before.

He could still be faking this but wanted to put that observation out there. Do others who have played nook a decent amount have similar experiences?

Nook, does this argument with Hally not remind you at all of some of your T/T fights with Shadow that I’ve tried to break up?

I don’t really know Hally well and we’ve never played and I don’t have a particularly strong read there, but did want to ask if you think this feels like it could be something like that. I’m not currently scumreading her myself.

I’ve not said I 100% buy that you’re not scum. But yea, unless you are a strongman or mafia roleblocked me, having seen that I was a PR, you didn’t carry the kill. And that I can definitely see a world where you’re telling the truth as possible. I still really was not at all a fan of how you tried to interact with me when I entered the game and then proceeded to just keep tunneling me. Of my actual interactions with anyone, those with you were the ones that pinged me the most. But that can’t be the only basis for my read.

From my perspective your slot was highly likely to be mafia and I was just trying to get you to slip one way or the other and make an easy read on you. If the mafia chose to shoot you last night cuz I outed you as PR it would have been an awesome result for the town because your role is not town friendly and you were squarely in the POE.

I still don't understand why you were so protective of your role given a) you subbed into being majorly scumread and b) town roleblockers are crap. Why didn't you just out what your PR was so that you could get better info on how to use it? It's easy. This game has free roleclaiming, you just subbed in, you're being scumread, just out your damn role.

Sure it backfired, i'll take some of the blame for tilting you towards suspecting me if you are in fact town but if you legit suspected me it's pretty evident that you didn't read much of the game to establish legit reads because my day 1 was as towny as anybody's and I should have never caught a town roleblock.
